Restore Britain Unveils Latest Plan To Deport Every Illegal Migrant
Restore Britain Senior Policy Fellow Harrison Pitt sets out the party's proposed plan for mass deportations of people it describes as living in Britain illegally, speaking from the White Cliffs of Dover. Pitt argues that the legal and practical barriers to large-scale deportations can be removed through changes to British law and proposes withdrawing from the European Convention on Human Rights, repealing the Human Rights Act and introducing what Restore Britain calls a โGreat Clarification Actโ. The plan also proposes restricting access to housing, banking, employment and NHS services for people without legal status, creating a โself-deportationโ app, expanding immigration enforcement and repurposing former RAF bases as temporary detention facilities. Pitt says Restore Britain would aim for around 150,000 forced deportations a year, alongside voluntary departures, and estimates the operation could take between two years and five months and three years. He puts the five-year cost at between ยฃ49 billion and ยฃ57 billion and argues that the policy is necessary to address what the party describes as the UK's illegal immigration crisis.
