Moon Unit is Zappa's daughter. Dweezil is his son.
The treaty angle is interesting.
I thought at the time, and ever since, that if it's just a perception shift, the Gulf of California should have been the one renamed to Gulf of America.
China's been seizing land for decades. It's currently trying to claim the entirety of the South China Sea. What's in a name?
Ad hominem attacks scream "I have no valid argument."
I don't know the yiddish or hebrew, but here's an English-language explanation of the recitation done every year on Yom Kippur:
Kol Nidre is not technically a prayer but an Aramaic legal declaration recited at the start of Yom Kippur services to annul personal vows, oaths, and prohibitions. The text declares that all vows from the previous Yom Kippur until the next are "null and void, not in force, and not in effect," allowing for spiritual absolution before the day of atonement begins.
Condensing this down, it means "I intend to be untrustworthy and break every vow, promise and contract."
>Republican controlled congress voted 357โ65
This was clearly a bipartisan decision. Characterizing it as "Republican-controlled" ignores the fact that this scumminess affects both sides of the Uniparty.
Arizonans: Katie Hobbs was Secretary of State while campaigning for Governor, and did NOT recuse herself. Instead, she maintained control of the entire elections process throughout her time in office as SoS, then stepped into the governor's office as if she'd actually been elected. She's as dirty as a used baby diaper that's been rotting in the pail for a week.
Also keep in mind that Hobbs' Attorney General, Kris Mayes, was (s)elected under SoS Hobbs' watch. Nothing Hobbs does will be prosecuted, or even investigated. Mayes has Hobbs' back.
Independent investigators looked into a money-laundering scam whereby cartel cash was poured into real estate - mostly private residences - by Hobbs, Mayes, the mayor of Mesa, and several others.
The Mexican cartels (they're into so much more than just drugs) control Arizona's executive branch, for now at least. Awareness of this egregious situation might help change it.
>Something doesnโt add up for me here between Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra and this administration.
Look no further than the Second Lady's influence.
Grand Juries only hear evidence from the prosecution's side. They hear zero exculpatory evidence. Even given the one-sided information flow, the GJ found insufficient evidence to bring any charges at all. This is blatantly a political hit-job. Watching how partisan hacks (Psaki et al) are spinning it makes it so obvious. Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? Even just delaying opining until an actual crime is charged? The mainstream press' abuse of American standards such as innocent until proven guilty is disgusting.
