If a politician buys a television commercial, everybody knows it’s a commercial. Nothing to hide…
But when an influencer starts telling followers that Candidate X is amazing, viewers will likely think they’re hearing a genuine, heartfelt feeling from somebody they trust.
Meanwhile, the payment is likely sitting at an agency, vendor, or some other middleman that nobody watching the video knows about. That’s called a scam, folks.
And by the way, if it’s happening on the right, it’s also a scam.
