Sunday, August 16, Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call about an intentional fire set in the kitchen of a Miami home. Deputies found Meliza Campos-Sanchez, a criminal illegal alien from Cuba, at the scene. She was taken to the hospital for a mental health evaluation before being booked into jail. Authorities discovered two videos posted on her Instagram account showing her pouring melted wax onto herself and onto the hands of one of her two daughters. A second video showed her singing and dancing in her kitchen before lighting articles of clothing on fire with a lighter.

Her husband says they were going through marital issues and he had contacted the sheriff's office a week before the incident, voicing concerns for his children.
