A Gleaming Space Station Other Than The ISS Will Cross American Skies This Week: Here’s How To See It!

September 4, 2026 at 12:15

China’s Tiangong space station will be visible from parts of the United States during bright evening passes this week.

A second orbital outpost beyond the International Space Station will become visible from parts of the United States this week, as China’s Tiangong space station crosses the evening sky during several bright passes.

According to Space.com, the station could reach a brightness similar to Jupiter, allowing observers to spot it without a telescope when weather conditions are favorable.

The sight offers skywatchers an opportunity to see a permanently inhabited spacecraft that often receives less attention than the ISS.

Carrying three astronauts, known as taikonauts, the station is currently hosting the crew of the Shenzhou-23 mission while continuing China’s long-term orbital research program.

Unlike stars and planets, Tiangong will appear as a steady point of light moving smoothly across the sky.

The spacecraft will not blink like an aircraft and can remain visible for several minutes during the best observation windows.

Space.com Details A Week Of Bright Tiangong Passes

According to Space.com, there’s a favorable period for observing Tiangong from the eastern United States.

The station’s orbit creates several opportunities after sunset, when the ground is already dark but sunlight can still reflect from the spacecraft hundreds of miles above Earth.

Observers in locations such as New York City have particularly favorable opportunities because the city lies close to the northern limit of the station’s 41.5-degree inclined orbit.

Some passes can reach very high angles above the horizon, making the spacecraft easier to identify and brighter during its journey across the sky.

The strongest viewing opportunities occur around one to two hours after sunset or before sunrise. During these periods, the observer is in darkness while the station remains illuminated by sunlight.

>>25009171

The brightest listed passes o ver New York City include:

Friday, Sept. 4: 7:48–7:54 p.m. EDT, reaching magnitude –2.1 and an altitude of 77 degrees

Saturday, Sept. 5: 8:26–8:31 p.m. EDT, reaching magnitude –2.0 and an altitude of 75 degrees

Sunday, Sept. 6: 9:05–9:08 p.m. EDT, reaching magnitude –2.0 and an altitude of 74 degrees

Additional visible opportunities continue through Sept. 9, depending on location and local weather conditions.

How To Identify The Space Station In The Night Sky

Finding Tiangong does not require advanced equipment. Skywatchers only need a clear view of the sky and information about the station’s predicted path.

The spacecraft will look like a bright, constant point of light traveling in a straight line. It will move faster than most stars but slower than many aircraft.

The lack of flashing lights is one of the easiest ways to distinguish the station from airplanes.

A typical pass lasts between two and six minutes. The highest passes are usually the brightest because the station remains visible for a longer portion of its path while reflecting sunlight toward Earth.

The station can appear to vanish suddenly during a flyover. This happens when Tiangong enters Earth’s shadow and stops reflecting sunlight toward observers on the ground.

For the most accurate local predictions, skywatchers can use satellite tracking services that provide exact times, directions and elevation angles based on their location.

Tiangong Represents China’s Expanding Human Spaceflight Program

The Tiangong space station, which means “Heavenly Palace” in Chinese, is China’s first permanently inhabited orbital laboratory. The station consists of three main modules: Tianhe, Wentian and Mengtian.

The first module launched in April 2021, while the final major module arrived in orbit in October 2022. The completed station has a mass of around 100 tons, making it significantly smaller than the International Space Station, which has a mass several times larger.

Despite its smaller size, Tiangong operates as a long-term research platform. Like the ISS, it completes an orbit around Earth roughly every 90 minutes.

Its average altitude is slightly lower than that of the ISS, with Tiangong orbiting around 242 miles above Earth compared with about 254 miles for the ISS, although both stations regularly adjust their altitude.

The current crew aboard the station includes Zhu Yangzhu, Zhang Zhiyuan and Li Jiaying, also known by her Cantonese name Lai Ka-ying. They arrived as part of the Shenzhou-23 mission, which began in May.

A Rare Chance To See Another Human Outpost Above Earth

For many observers, spotting a spacecraft in orbit creates a direct connection with human activity beyond the atmosphere.

While the ISS remains the most famous visible spacecraft, Tiangong offers another opportunity to witness a functioning orbital station with the naked eye.

The upcoming passes provide a reminder that Earth’s low orbit is becoming increasingly active, with multiple nations operating spacecraft designed for scientific research and crewed missions.

Anyone hoping to capture images of the station can attempt astrophotography using a camera mounted on a tripod and a long exposure setting. Successful images can reveal the path of the spacecraft as it travels across the stars.

Commercial Spacecraft for NASA’s Swift Boost Continues Tech Demo

September 4, 2026 2:15PM

This week, Katalyst Space conducted in-space tests and maneuvers to exercise the capabilities of its robotic servicing spacecraft, LINK.

NASA and Katalyst scaled back a mission that would have used LINK to boost the agency’s Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory to a higher altitude, because of attitude control issues with LINK.

However, Katalyst continues to demonstrate as many of LINK’s capabilities in space as possible, to collect data to inform future spacecraft servicing technology and operations.

Over the past few days, Katalyst raised LINK’s orbit and made adjustments to align with Swift’s orbit. The team also deployed all three of LINK’s robotic arms and fired all three of the electric propulsion thrusters at the same time.

LINK came within 7.5 to 9 miles (12 to 15 kilometers) of Swift. LINK will not make any closer approach to Swift throughout its remaining operations in orbit. The Katalyst team estimates LINK will deorbit after another 2 to 3 weeks.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1ytpj3y21E

A space elevator connecting Earth and the Moon could be closer than ever

Sep 4, 2026 1:07 PM PDT

One space elevator concept demands extraordinary graphene. Another changes the physics enough that today’s fibers could theoretically work.

  • A Moon-anchored “Spaceline” could theoretically reach toward Earth using materials such as Zylon, Kevlar or Dyneema that already exist, avoiding the extreme tension of a conventional space elevator.

  • Separate advances in graphene manufacturing have strengthened hopes for a traditional Earth-based space elevator, although no material has yet been manufactured at the required 100,000-kilometer length and tether quality.

  • Both concepts could sharply reduce propellant needs beyond Earth orbit, but enormous challenges involving manufacturing, deployment, debris, dynamics and cost remain unresolved.

Getting into space still requires throwing away an extraordinary amount of mass.

Rockets accelerate by expelling propellant, forcing launch vehicles to carry fuel not only for their spacecraft but also to accelerate the remaining fuel.

That fundamental constraint has driven decades of interest in space elevators, enormous cables that could allow electrically powered climbers to haul cargo upward without carrying their own rocket propellant.

Two developments suggest there may be more than one route toward that goal. The International Space Elevator Consortium, or ISEC, is highlighting rapid progress in graphene manufacturing for a conventional Earth-based elevator.

An earlier analysis by physicists Zephyr Penoyre and Emily Sandford showed another possibility: hang the cable from the Moon instead.

Their “Spaceline” would experience dramatically different forces and, according to their calculations, could be supported with high-performance fibers already manufactured today.

Graphene is bringing the classic elevator closer

A conventional space elevator would begin near Earth's equator and extend far beyond geostationary orbit, where an orbiting object remains over the same location on Earth. A counterweight beyond that point would keep the cable under tension as Earth rotates.

The concept demands an extraordinary tether. ISEC's current architecture envisions cables roughly 100,000 kilometers long, and the organization identifies graphene among the leading material candidates.

Its current materials guidance says single-crystal graphene remains the ultimate target because of its combination of tensile strength and low mass.

Manufacturing has nevertheless advanced fastest with polycrystalline graphene, which consists of many crystalline regions joined along grain boundaries.

ISEC reports that this form can already be produced in kilometer-scale lengths at about two meters per minute, although it emphasizes that neither existing graphene nor competing materials are yet available at finished space-elevator tether quality.

That distinction is critical. Producing a long sheet of graphene is not equivalent to producing a defect-free structural cable able to survive decades under enormous tension.

ISEC's own recent discussions acknowledge unresolved problems. Researchers still need to understand multilayer strength, manufacturing defects, radiation, orbital debris and the engineering required to fabricate and deploy unprecedented quantities of tether material.

A 2026 ISEC report describes even the electrical-power system for climbers as an active research problem.

Hanging from the Moon changes the physics

Penoyre, then at the University of Cambridge, and Sandford, then at Columbia University, approached the material problem differently.

Instead of asking for a stronger cable, they asked whether the cable could experience less force.

Their Spaceline starts at the Moon and hangs toward Earth. Unlike a conventional elevator, which rotates with Earth once every day, the lunar cable follows the Moon's roughly monthly orbit.

Its own weight toward Earth pulls it taut while the lunar anchor holds the opposite end. That slower rotation and different gravitational environment greatly reduce the stress.

Anonymous ID: b81a04 Sept. 5, 2026, 10:32 a.m. No.25009214   🗄️.is 🔗kun

>>25009213

The cable would also cross the Earth-Moon L1 region, where competing gravitational and orbital effects produce a balance point between the two worlds. Cable tension reaches its maximum around this region, while gravity pulls different parts of the line in opposite directions.

The crucial result was that the line does not need to descend anywhere near Earth's surface. Extending from the Moon to roughly geostationary distance avoids the tremendous load encountered by a ground-anchored elevator.

Existing fibers could theoretically hold it

The researchers compared the necessary specific strength with materials ranging from steel and spider silk to carbon fiber, Kevlar, Dyneema and Zylon.

Their calculations indicated that a simple constant-width Spaceline becomes feasible once a material crosses a relative-strength threshold of roughly 3.

Zylon and Dyneema fall near or above that range, while a conventional Earth-based elevator would require a value above roughly 50.

A carefully tapered cable could reduce the mass further. Their preferred hybrid design would remain thin where stresses were low and become wider where necessary to stay below its breaking stress.

That does not mean engineers could start building one tomorrow. The calculations primarily establish that tensile strength itself is not necessarily a fundamental barrier to a Moon-anchored design.

Manufacturing hundreds of thousands of kilometers of reliable fiber, carrying it into space, deploying it without tangling or breaking, protecting it from impacts and repeatedly moving payloads along it would still represent an engineering undertaking without precedent.

A 40-ton cable could reach toward Earth

Penoyre and Sandford explored what a minimal structure might look like.

For one modeled cable with a cross-sectional area of 10−7 square meters, they estimated a mass of about 40,000 kilograms.

They described the raw material and launch expense as potentially reaching hundreds of millions of dollars, while a complete practical project could cost billions.

The cable's Earthward tip would remain far above the planet rather than touching the ground. Rockets would still be required to reach it.

Once docked, however, payloads could travel along the tether using externally supplied energy. The authors estimated that access to the lunar surface through such a system could reduce required fuel to roughly one-third of conventional values.

That makes the Spaceline less a replacement for launch vehicles than a transportation network for movement after spacecraft have climbed out of the deepest part of Earth's gravity well.

A station between Earth and Moon

The authors considered the Earth-Moon Lagrange region potentially more important than the Moon itself.

A station attached to the tether near that location could provide a relatively stable base for assembling structures and moving equipment between destinations.

The researchers imagined large telescopes, particle accelerators, gravitational-wave instruments, power stations and staging points for missions deeper into the solar system.

For now, both versions of the space elevator remain proposals rather than construction projects.

Graphene manufacturing is advancing, but ISEC still describes tether-quality production at the enormous scale required as future work.

The Spaceline calculations show that today's fibers may be strong enough on paper, but they do not demonstrate that an operational lunar cable can be manufactured, deployed or maintained.

Together, the ideas reveal how the space-elevator problem is changing. One approach waits for stronger materials. The other changes the gravitational problem so radically that existing ones might suffice.

Either way, the goal remains the same: make leaving Earth's neighborhood less dependent on throwing away mountains of rocket fuel.

Putin pauses strikes on Kiev

5 Sep, 2026 12:24 | Updated 5 Sep, 2026 13:48

The decision was announced amid the visit of US negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Moscow

Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered a three-day hiatus in strikes on Kiev ahead of talks with senior US negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, who arrived in Moscow earlier on Saturday.

The negotiations are expected to focus on resolving the Ukraine conflict. Witkoff and Kushner are slated to visit Kiev after their meetings in Moscow, which include talks with Putin.

Speaking on Saturday, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said that “Russian president [and] commander-in-chief Putin has ordered [the armed forces] not to conduct strikes on Kiev for three days starting from midnight today.”

He added that the decision was intended to allow Witkoff and Kushner to hold negotiations with Ukrainian officials in the country’s capital.

Several Ukrainian media outlets carried reports earlier in the day, saying that Kiev’s forces had been instructed to hold their fire starting from Saturday midnight until Tuesday.

Ukrainian broadcaster Suspilne subsequently quoted Vladimir Zelensky’s chief of staff Kirill Budanov as saying that Ukraine had sent a truce proposal to Russia calling for the temporary cessation of hostilities along the front line, as well as all air strikes.

However, Moscow did not respond, according to Budanov.

On Friday, US President Donald Trump said that Witkoff and Kushner were “bringing with them a proposal to end the war,” without elaborating on the specifics.

Since the start of Trump’s second term in office in early 2025, the two negotiators have repeatedly visited Moscow as part of the US president’s efforts to mediate a peace deal between Russia and Ukraine.

However, despite a glimmer of hope following last year’s meeting between Trump and Putin in Alaska, the diplomatic back-and-forth has since stalled as neither Russia nor Ukraine will compromise on key issues.

Still, speaking on Thursday, the Russian president praised Kushner’s and Witkoff’s work, saying that the US negotiators are “always welcome guests here, and we work with them with pleasure.”

Russia Continues Missile and Drone Strikes on Ukraine Amid Reports of Possible Suspension of Ukrainian Attacks

September 5, 2026

On the night of September 5, Russian troops continued to strike Ukraine with missiles and drone-launched rockets, following a statement by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky regarding a possible suspension of Ukrainian long-range strikes during the visit to Moscow by special envoys of U.S. President Trump.

This is evidenced by data from the Ukrainian Air Force and local authorities. After midnight in the city of Boryspil of the Kyiv region a Russian drone struck the roof of a nine-story residential building.

The strike caused a fire and damage to the roof and to one of the apartments on the top floor.

Later, Tymur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, reported that two women were injured and hospitalized with various injuries.

The Russians also struck the city of Kamianske in the Dnipropetrovsk region with several ballistic missiles.

The Regional Military Administration reported that the target of the missile strikes was an industrial facility. By morning, it was reported that four people had been killed and five wounded as a result of this attack.

“Three of the victims are in the hospital. Among them is a 30-year-old woman who is in intensive care. Medical personnel are providing the wounded with all necessary care,” said Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the regional administration.

On the evening of September 4, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that during the visits of U.S. President Donald Trump’s special representatives, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, to Moscow and Kyiv, Ukraine would ensure the “normal functioning of Russian airspace.”

“And just as we did during previous diplomatic visits by the U.S. side, we will ensure the normal functioning of Russian airspace so that the negotiators can arrive safely. We are looking out for them, not for Russia,” Zelensky said.

The president noted that while negotiations are underway and logistical issues related to the U.S. delegation’s visit are being resolved, Ukraine will not carry out airstrikes.

At the same time, he said, Russia must reciprocally ensure a cessation of airstrikes during this period. Axios reported yesterday that visits by Trump’s special envoys will take place this weekend.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have also been ordered to observe a ceasefire along the front lines from 12:00 a.m. on September 5 to 11:59 p.m. on September 8.

Guerrilla drone attack kills 2 in Colombia

September 5, 2026

President Abelardo de la Espriella blames the National Liberation Army for the attack, in which at least 20 drones loaded with explosives were used.

BOGOTA: A guerrilla drone attack on a military garrison in Colombia killed at least two soldiers and wounded five others on Friday, authorities said.

President Abelardo de la Espriella, who has pledged to get tough on crime, blamed the country’s largest active armed group, the National Liberation Army (ELN), for the attack.

“To the ELN I say with absolute clarity: for every police officer or soldier you kill, I will bring down on you the full weight and legitimate force of the State,” he said on X.

The attack took place in Ocana, in the northeastern Catatumbo region, where De la Espriella’s government is currently conducting military operations against guerrillas.

A military source in the region told AFP that at least 20 drones loaded with explosives were used.

Colombia is the world’s largest cocaine producer and is grappling with its worst violence in a decade.

Since taking office, De la Espriella has stepped up bombings and ground operations against armed groups.

Colombia has also joined the Shield of the Americas, US president Donald Trump’s anti-cartel alliance of Latin American countries including Argentina, Ecuador and El Salvador.

De la Espriella is set to receive US state secretary Marco Rubio in the Caribbean city of Barranquilla next week.

Taliban Builds Drone Operations Centre In Badakhshan, Say Sources

Informed sources in Badakhshan say the Taliban has built a “drone operations centre” near the provincial airport following rising tensions, opposition attacks and armed clashes in Faizabad and several districts.

According to information obtained by Afghanistan International, the drone operations centre was established about two weeks ago at a military base beside Faizabad airport and is operating around the clock to gather intelligence and conduct reconnaissance missions across the province.

Residents of Faizabad, the capital of Badakhshan, say drones have been seen patrolling the skies above the city over the past two weeks.

One Faizabad resident, who asked not to be named for security reasons, said: “The drones fly at very low altitude over Faizabad at night.” He added: “It appears they are also monitoring people’s homes.”

Videos obtained by Afghanistan International show drones flying over Faizabad as well as the construction of a new tower near Badakhshan airport.

The tower is reportedly intended to support the take-off and landing of the drones. The Taliban has not officially commented on the matter.

Local sources say drones previously used during operations against Juma Khan Fateh, a dissident Taliban commander in Nusay district, took off from the same centre.

The Afghanistan Freedom Front previously said it had shot down two Taliban drones during clashes in Zebak district. The group also released images of what it said were the downed drones.

Badakhshan has experienced a wave of insecurity and increased attacks against the Taliban in recent months. In response, the Taliban has deployed thousands of additional forces to the province and is now making broader use of drone technology for surveillance and security control.

Taliban Access to Drone Technology

In April, a source at the Taliban-controlled Afghanistan National Development Corporation told Afghanistan International, on condition of anonymity, that a 13-member drone specialist team made up of students from the engineering faculties of Kabul University and Kabul Polytechnic University had been working on modifying and designing drones since 2021. According to the source, the team is now capable of assembling different types of suicide drones inside Afghanistan using imported components.

The Taliban first used its own drones during clashes with Pakistan and, in response to extensive Pakistani attacks on major Afghan cities, targeted areas inside Pakistan on several occasions.

The group also claimed that it had targeted Pakistani forces in Islamabad.

Following the clashes with Pakistan and the Taliban’s use of drones against the country, the reported establishment of a drone centre in Badakhshan is the latest indication of the group’s expanding drone activities.

The creation of a dedicated drone centre in the province suggests that the Taliban is taking threats posed by opposition groups operating in Badakhshan seriously and is increasingly turning to modern technologies, including drones, to counter them.

State of emergency declared at Janzour Fuel Depot after drone fibre-optic remnants discovered

September 5, 2026 10:05 AM · Updated 11:13 AM

A state of emergency was declared at Brega Petroleum Marketing Company’s Janzour Fuel Depot yesterday after drone related fibre-optics were discovered at the site.

Janzour is a suburb of Tripoli located about 30 km west of the capital on the main coastal road to the Tunisian border.

The news was reported by Meelad Alhajarisi, Brega board member, and not by either Brega or the National Oil Corporation.

Alhajarisi said:

‘‘Today, Friday, upon being notified of the discovery of fibre-optic remnants—suspected to be linked to drone operations—at the Janzour Oil Depot, I immediately proceeded to the site accompanied by the relevant departments and authorities.

A state of emergency was declared, and the highest levels of readiness and preparedness were adopted to handle any potential contingency. Efforts were also made to boost the morale of the workforce and reassure them.

Security measures at the site were reinforced, and a special force from the Petroleum Facilities Guard (PFG) was deployed to ensure the facility's protection, elevate security readiness, and respond immediately to any developments that might threaten the safety of the personnel and the facility’’.

Previous drone attacks

It will be recalled that the discovery of drone related fibre-optics at the Janzour Fuel Depot comes on the back of the drone attack on Brega’s Airport Road (Tripoli) Fuel Depot in August and the drone attacks on Zawia Fuel Depot, Zawia Water Desalination Plant and Zawia Power Station.

“The biggest thing to happen since Christ”: Merle Haggard’s UFO obsession

Fri 4 September 2026 22:00, UK

When you’re considered one of the OGs of outlaw country music, you’re going to have a built-in distrust of authority, especially when it comes to the suits inside the US government.

Merle Haggard certainly kept a raised eyebrow toward ‘The Man’ for most of his life, including his later years in the 2000s, when he was questioning the policies of George Bush’s war in Iraq with his song ‘That’s the News’.

For better or worse, though, his very serious protest music generated considerably less publicity in 2003 than his simultaneous decision to launch a new music festival in Roswell, New Mexico, the home of one of the great, alleged US government cover-ups of all time.

“I live on the West Coast, and unlike people in Nashville, I can’t just go out and cherry-pick my dates,” Haggard told Billboard at the time, suggesting that the small town in the Chihuahuan Desert provided a nice “place to play every July on my trip to the East”.

Of course, as conspiracy theorists have known since long before the internet existed to amplify their voices, Roswell has a lot more going for it than geographical tour-stop convenience.

Back in 1947, a rather famous discovery of unusual debris on the property of farmer WW ‘Mack’ Brazel led to an avalanche of suspicion that an alien spacecraft had crashed in the area.

The US government informed the public that the downed object had merely been a military weather balloon, but over time, the bizarre nature of the incident made Roswell the epicentre of all things UFO and alien-related in American culture, and arguably worldwide.

Haggard, who was ten years old when the supposed UFO crash occurred, became a rather passionate believer, telling the Chicago Tribune in 2003 that he didn’t mind if people called him a nut for saying it, adding, “I think our technology, that we have now came from that”, spouting another theory popularised by the same people who think humans couldn’t possibly have built the pyramids in Egypt. “At least laser beam technology, all of this computer knowledge that we have; all came from what came out of those [space]ships. Prior to that, we had nothing, then all of a sudden America had all this knowledge,” he mused seriously.

It’s interesting that America and the Allied Forces were able to triumph in World War II when they had “nothing” in the way of advanced technology, but hey, nobody said Merle Haggard was a historian or a scientist.

He was a great singer/songwriter, and fortunately, that was the focus of the UFO music festival he put together in Roswell in 2003 and 2004.

“It’s sort of a kooky idea of mine that there might be a lot of people that like country music that also have suspicions about what went on in Roswell,” Haggard said, not even realising how much those circles fully overlapped on the obligatory Venn diagram of the US population.

Merle wasn’t entertaining the UFO enthusiasts of Roswell on his own either. His music fest, which was tied in with the larger, annual Roswell UFO Festival, included Marty Stuart as a guest in 2003, and Haggard’s friend and fellow country legend Willie Nelson for its second edition in 2004.

Haggard wasn’t able to maintain his role in the festival in the years that followed due to worsening health and reduced touring [he died in 2016 at 79], but he remained a believer to his final days that the truth was out there.

“If that thing came down out there, in Roswell,” he told NBC News in 2004, “Then it is the biggest thing to happen since Christ”.

'Long-Running Government Coverup': Expert Warns That 'Disclosure Day' Alien Film Highlights Truth

05 September 2026, 5:50 PM BST

UFO expert Joshua Golembeske says Steven Spielberg's Disclosure Day reflects a long-running government coverup backed by declassified files and sworn testimony

A UFO researcher has argued that Steven Spielberg's Disclosure Day echoes allegations of a long-running government UAP cover-up, pointing to declassified records and testimony before Congress.

The US government began releasing batches of previously classified UAP records in May, with further tranches released in the months that followed. The releases include historical UAP records, some dating to the 1940s, as well as more recent incident material.

The timing has fuelled online speculation about whether Hollywood and Washington are moving in step, although the article has found no evidence establishing such coordination.

How Disclosure Day Mirrors Official Claims

Joshua Golembeske, a documentary filmmaker and UFO researcher, told reporters that the movie 'doesn't seem like a coincidence' because it mirrors claims that he believes are backed by official records.

He pointed to congressional hearings in which witnesses have made allegations about UAP crash retrievals and the possible reverse engineering of unusual technology.

The most detailed public account came in July 2023, when former intelligence official David Grusch told the House Oversight Committee that the US had operated a multi-decade UAP crash retrieval and reverse-engineering programme without proper congressional oversight.

His written testimony provided one of the most detailed public accounts of those allegations.

Golembeske argued that Disclosure Day echoes claims that government or defence personnel have secretly studied non-human entities.

'There were crash retrieval operations where they were attempting to reverse engineer exotic technology,' he said, referring to historical documents that he believes support those claims.

Project Blue Book, CIA Files and What the Documents Say

Golembeske pointed to Project Blue Book, the Air Force's programme for investigating UFO reports from 1947 to 1969, as evidence that the US government took the subject seriously.

He alleged that crash-retrieval operations were conducted to study what he described as exotic technology, including purported antigravity propulsion systems.

As an example, he cited a 1971 Australian Department of Defence assessment, identified in the 2026 US release as CIA-UAP-019. He argued that the document illustrates the extent of the secrecy alleged by UAP researchers.

The released material has not, so far, provided publicly verified proof of extraterrestrial life or non-human technology.

The National Archives describes Blue Book as the Air Force programme for investigating UFO reports, and states the Air Force found no evidence that unidentified sightings were extraterrestrial vehicles and no indication of a government cover-up concerning Roswell.

Why the Film Matters Now

Disclosure Day held its Paris premiere on June 2 before opening in US cinemas on June 12.

The film follows cybersecurity specialist Daniel Kellner, played by Josh O'Connor, after he steals extraterrestrial technology and files from Wardex, a secretive government-linked organisation, in an effort to expose an alleged decades-long concealment of alien contact.

In an interview, Spielberg discussed the hypothetical reaction if a government announced it had concealed extraterrestrial knowledge since 1947, saying it 'would mess up a lot of people.'

He has also said he has no direct insider knowledge of any such government secret. The film's US release on June 12 coincided with the third tranche of records released under the government's UAP programme.

Golembeske said he found the overlap notable while acknowledging that it could be coincidental. 'The movie doesn't seem like a coincidence, but it may be,' he said, while arguing that the documents are consistent with the claims he has been making.

The claims about extraterrestrial technology, crash retrievals and a government cover-up remain unverified.

A New Observatory Concept for Imaging UAP Orbs

September 5, 2026

The most mysterious Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena in the five tranches of data which were declassified over the past four months in the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters (PURSUE) are orbs.

These orbs are glowing entities, estimated to be on the scale of meters. The encounters are diverse.

The 2nd PURSUE tranche mentions a senior intelligence officer’s 2025 account of being left “virtually speechless” after an hour-long observation of orange orbs.

The 5th PURSUE tranche provides a helicopter account of an orb swarm with “a series of close UAP encounters lasting over an hour,” plus two larger ones described as “oval-shaped, orange with a white or yellow center, emitting light in all directions.”

The 5th tranche also includes infrared footage of a hovering black sphere. Some orbs are consistent with earlier historical reports on Tic-Tac-shape objects. They appear cold on thermal imagery in several infrared-sensor cases despite visual or radar-apparent motion.

Some orbs were moving over the Gulf of Oman with a speed in the range of Mach 0.3–1.7 (250–1,300 mph) and a Syrian case reported instant acceleration.

Not all UAP are orbs. The 1965 CIA memo in the 5th tranche describes a delta-shaped object tracked at Mach 3 by the USS Gyatt radar near Puerto Rico and implying that some UAP have triangular morphologies.

This UAP had radar tracking. However, many orb-specific reports rely primarily on infrared or electro-optical footage, hand-held recordings, or witness interviews rather than independent radar returns.

The 2nd tranche mentioned “countless orange orbs swarming in all directions against the backdrop of the mountain,” as well as formation flying UAPs in the Persian Gulf based on October 2019 footage.

The 5th tranche mentions the AC-130J contacts in September 2021 over the Gulf of Oman with about 25 cold orbs maneuvering aggressively. The two large orange orbs beside the helicopter held position just above the rotor disk.

The orbs appeared to react intelligently within 15 seconds to weapons fire. A 2025 clip shows an orb racing over a populated Middle Eastern city.

These orb reports represent the genuinely ambiguous residuals that remain unresolved by the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) in the Pentagon.

How can we help AARO and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) fulfil their mission in resolving these cases? Today, I came up with the following new concept for an observatory that can accomplish this task.

My concept for the UAP Orb Observatory contains two components. The first is a radar system, capable of identifying objects of interest in the sky.

The second is a meter-scale telescope, capable of resolving these objects on angular scales of order an arcsecond or better. This high angular resolution allows us to identify details on centimeter scales, comparable to the diameter of a garden pea, at a distance of 2 kilometers!

An example for a suitable, commercially available telescope is the meter-diameter CDK1000 Telescope System.

The telescope dome can slew faster than the angular speed of a target moving at Mach 0.1 as long as that target is farther than 600 meters.

The dome slewing rate of 3 degrees per second can easily focus on targets that stay in the sky for more than one minute. The reported hour-long orbs should be easy targets to focus on.

The radar system can be either active — namely transmitting its own radio beam and searching for reflections from objects, or passive — namely searching for reflected radio waves from ground-based radio, television or satellite transmissions.

The radar should cover the entire sky and identify the sky coordinates of targets of interest to a precision much better than the field of view of the imaging telescope.

Once an orb is identified by the radar system, the telescope would steer to its sky coordinates and obtain a high-resolution image of it.

Equipping the telescope with a spectrograph would allow it to determine the material composition of the orb based on its spectrum. In 2012, a natural ball lightning event was accidentally captured on video with a spectrometer running during a field campaign studying ordinary lightning.

This gave scientists, for the first time, a quantitative emission spectrum of a real ball lightning event rather than a qualitative eyewitness description.

The spectrum showed emission lines consistent with silicon, iron, and calcium, namely elements found in soil, supporting a physical model which associates ball lightning with silicon vapor (as discussed in a paper published here).

Exopolitics Briefing Document – Understanding the 7 layers of the UFO Phenomenon

September 5, 2026

Exopolitics is an emerging academic discipline aimed at understanding the political implications of the UFO phenomenon and its Non-Human Intelligence (NHI) components involving extraterrestrial visitors, Inner Earth civilizations, future humans, and higher or interdimensional beings.

This two-page briefing (minus the accompanying illustrations) is written for political representatives and officials who wish to gauge the importance of the UFO phenomenon given recent official releases by the US Dept of War, multiple US Congressional Hearings, and increased media attention placed on the testimonies of military whistleblowers. It will succinctly inform public officials of the true nature of ecopolitical situation confronting “surface humanity.” Informed citizens are encouraged to circulate this briefing to all public officials.

Level One – UFO Sightings

Sightings of physical craft and orbs associated with NHI date to antiquity and are found in reports by Roman historians such as Livy.

Among the most significant of these ancient UFO sightings are the 16th century Basel, Switzerland and Nuremberg, Germany, UFO battles witnessed by thousands and depicted in newspaper reports.

In 2026, the US Dept of War released five tranches of files revealing historical UFO sightings and official reports.

Level Two – UFO Crash Retrievals and Reverse Engineering

UFO crash retrieval operations have led to efforts to study and/or reverse engineer the advanced technologies by governments, militaries and corporations.

The first documented UFO crash retrieval operation was in 1933 in Magenta, Italy, and found in official Fascist-era documents. Study of debris from the Magenta UFO crash was led by famed inventor Guglielmo Marconi, and culminated in Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany collaborating in the reverse engineering of flying saucer technologies, as first publicly revealed by the engineers Guiseppe Belluzzo (Italy) and Rudolf Schriever (West Germany) in 1950.

Level Three – Meetings and Agreements with NHI

There have been official meetings and agreements with NHI by political and military officials. One of the earliest involved President Truman and a surviving occupant of a crashed UFO at Aztec, New Mexico, in 1948, who was hosted for one year before his departure.

The more well-known February 1954 meeting involved President Dwight D. Eisenhower secretly traveling to Edwards Air Force Base to meet with representatives of human-looking group of aliens (today called Nordics) and was followed in 1955 at Holloman AFB with a rival alien faction. Agreements reached with aliens involved technology sharing, human abductions and genetic experiments such as Project Preserve Destiny. The Majestic-12 Special Operations Group was set up to manage extraterrestrial affairs, but President Eisenhower grew dissatisfied with its decisions and authorized the US Navy to set up its own program to monitor and counter MJ-12 activities if they threatened the American Republic.

Level Four – Deep Underground Military Bases (DUMBs)

DUMBs have been built to host captured/visiting NHI, study and reverse engineer their exotic propulsion technologies, conduct joint genetic experiments on human subjects, and research time travel and portal technology.

Among the earliest DUMBs is the well-known Area 51/S-4 facility built in the late 1950s in Nevada, and the little-known Green Mountain DUMB, built in 1956-57 as a “Junior Pentagon,” which today hosts a large spaceport.

The most infamous are the Montauk, Long Island, and Dulce, New Mexico bases, as epicenters for abusive human-extraterrestrial biological and time-travel experiments.

Level Five – Secret Space Programs (SSPs)

Reverse engineered spacecraft using exotic propulsion technologies are capable of superluminal travel and time travel.

These are part of SSPs first developed in Antarctica/South America by a breakaway German nationalist group known as the Fourth Reich/Nachtwaffen, that was followed by the US, and later, other countries such as Russia, China, France, and Japan.

Solar Warden was the original name given to the US Navy’s SSP.

Level Six – Controllers of UFO/NHI Information

The control hierarchy behind the UFO phenomenon involves an assortment of human elites belonging to ruling bloodline families, transnational corporations, and secret societies; Inner Earth civilizations; and extraterrestrial civilizations/organizations.

The latter include the Galactic Federation, the Orion Collective, the Draconian Empire, the Andromeda Council, Mantids, Sirians, and the Arcturians.

The Draconians have historically appointed from among the human elite a “Pindar,” to be their chief intermediary with national leaders.

Level Seven – Higher and Inter-dimensional entities

Higher and inter-dimensional entities do not need technology to be able to travel through space-time. Their advanced psychic abilities allow them to influence the consciousness of surface humans and many of the entities involved in levels 1-6.

Level seven beings are referred to as gods, angels, Elohim, devas, demons, asuras, planetary spirits or solar beings (with multiple names in different religions). They compete in influencing humanity’s evolution and timelines.

Their views on humanity range from us being a valuable resource to be exploited, to us being agents for positive transformative change in galactic conflicts.

Former DISA Contractor Saw a UAP Live on an MQ-9 Feed Over East Asia | Kevin Campbell

Sep 3, 2026

What did a defense network engineer see while monitoring U.S. military drone feeds over the waters of East Asia?

I sit down with former Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) contractor Kevin Campbell, who supported satellite communications and monitored MQ-9 feeds from Hill Air Force Base.

Kevin says he encountered several clips of unidentified objects in the East China Sea and Yellow Sea region—including one event he watched live.

He describes a roughly spherical object moving just above the water, an elongated rust-colored form briefly visible in electro-optical imagery, and another luminous object that changed direction before it was lost from view.

Our conversation examines how unusual footage was discovered and saved, the increased MQ-9 coverage Kevin says he observed after the first incident, and the lack of a clear reporting process inside his workplace.

Kevin also discusses contacting Americans for Safe Aerospace, speaking with the FBI, his concerns about AARO’s early reporting pathway, and congressional interest in footage he believes may include one of the events he reported.

Kevin does not claim to know what the objects were. He argues that the underlying footage should be preserved, analyzed, and—when possible—released so the public and policymakers can better assess what military sensors are recording.

His account raises a broader aviation-safety and national-security question: How should agencies collect, retain, and share UAP data when important observations are scattered across systems and organizations?
