I think that when he thought about the question. Thought about fear. At first in his words he tries to project the fear outward. Saying "you were afraid" and "you were worried". Then he uses the word "I". And that caused him to internalize it. And that is where he slipped up. And said "missile". Then immediately corrects himself saying "an airplane". This was five years later. Did I mention that this guy sat on the 9/11 commission?
