When I lived at Torrejon AFB in Spain in the 80's they used hold a big charity drive each year. We had our own AFRTS radio station on base too. There were tons of activities and fun shit to do. You could donate any amount of money to have someone put in the base jail. Someone else had to donate any amount over that amount to get you out of jail. Similarly, you could donate money and have a song or album played and someone else had to donate more to get the song changed. Some dickhead donated thousands to have Yoko's album of "love chants" played and it took damn near a full day to have it changed. Then the original dickhead donated thousands again to put it back on. They had it playing through loudspeakers all over the base. Sounded like someone was gutting cats, slowly, while they were still alive! Good times!
