"I AM WHO I AM"
In the Gospel of John, Jesus also pairs "I am" with vivid word pictures to explain how he meets human needs:
Bread of Life (John 6:35): He sustains human souls the way physical bread sustains the body.
Light of the World (John 8:12): He guides people out of moral darkness and confusion.
Door of the Sheep (John 10:7): He provides the only safe entrance into God’s family.
Good Shepherd (John 10:11): He protects his followers and lays down his life for them.
Resurrection and the Life (John 11:25): He holds power over death and grants eternal life.
Way, the Truth, and the Life (John 14:6): He serves as the exclusive path to God the Father.
True Vine (John 15:1): He supplies the spiritual strength believers need to bear good fruit
Offer the gospel universally because as far as we can discern, every person we encounter could believe. God knows whom he will draw (John 6:44). Jesus knows who will hear his voice (John 10:27). We don’t, so we just share.
If God calls out, it is up to the individual to determine if they believe; if they do, they will be saved as a child of God.
