The auto industry is another scam. Only the owners, the manager, and the manufacturer make money due to hold backs. Hold backs are in many industries, including furniture, boats, etc… At the end of the year the dealerships get back anywhere from 5 to 10% of the price of a vehicle, which sales people never get a cut of. There may be only 5% on a car deal made that their commissions are based upon not inclusive of the hold or kick back. This is like having a dual economy going on, and is how only two people make money at a dealership, and the rest live on $300 dollars a week because salary vs commission base pay against future earnings.
