If you do something nice for someone, don't expect them to pay you back. They can pay if forward and do something nice for someone else.
The same goes for something mean.
If you do something mean to someone, they might not retaliate. They might not do something mean to you. They may not seek vengeance.
But don't be surprised if someday someone else does something really mean to you.
Pay it forward can work both ways.
