So long as the biohackers are still referring to "junk DNA" and believing it's just vestigial rubbish, I'm not letting anyone modify my DNA. Despite haveing "mapped" the human DNA, they aren't even CLOSE to fully understanding it, much less being able to reliably alter it without unintended consequences.

Studies of transplant recipients who received transplanted organs from a deceased donor commonly have documented memories, proclivities, perspectives and other phenomena which began after the transplant. There is a whole field of study on this. "Science" hasn't yet been able to explain how consciousness follows transplanted organs, but the fact that it does is well-documented.
