His central thesis: this is not fundamentally a Republican-vs.-Democrat conflict. Holt describes it as a global struggle between “sovereigntists” and “globalists.” He says America is the principal battleground, but the conflict itself is older than the United States—“over a thousand years old”—and that the American Revolution is, in his framing, still unfinished.
Fifth-generation warfare is designed to make people unable to identify the enemy.He illustrates this by imagining an enemy hidden in a room, then adding conflicting information, apps, darkness, fog and noise until everyone is disoriented. His point is that confusion itself becomes a weapon. People argue over names—City of London, globalists, elites, etc.—while failing to recognize the larger system he believes they are confronting.
He describes divide-and-rule as a core strategy. Holt uses the image of red ants and black ants placed into a jar and shaken: the ants fight one another rather than the person shaking the jar. He applies that metaphor to Republican/Democrat, racial, religious and ideological conflicts, arguing that people are deliberately kept fighting while money and property systems are restructured around them.
Rome → Venice.This is the history you specifically remembered. Holt argues that when Rome collapsed, the most powerful families did not disappear. In his telling, they preserved wealth and influence through finance and later re-emerged as the Venetians. He says the Venetian system learned to finance opposing sides of wars and profit from the resulting conflict.
Venice → Holland/Amsterdam.Holt says that when the Venetian system had run its course, those financial interests migrated into Holland and Amsterdam, where they developed increasingly sophisticated capital markets and used ventures such as the Dutch East India Company as vehicles for colonization, resource acquisition and financial control.
–Amsterdam → Britain/City of London.== He identifies 1688 as another turning point, connecting the removal of James II, the rise of William III and the emergence of the City of London as a center of the financial system he is describing.
The American Revolution, in Holt’s interpretation, was about sovereignty rather than merely taxation. He argues that the colonies threatened this system because Americans wanted genuine autonomy. His key distinction is that these interests already possessed money and power; what they ultimately sought, he says, was control over human autonomy.
1776 → War of 1812 → Civil War → 1871.Holt characterizes the War of 1812 as essentially a rematch. He then claims that clandestine/information operations aggravated North-South divisions before the Civil War. After the country had been devastated financially, he says the United States was “refinanced” in 1871 and describes that as another stage of what he calls the synthetic colonization of America. These are Holt’s claims in the presentation, not conclusions I’m independently validating here.
Then comes theFabian Society. Holt identifies the rise of European-connected industrial and financial interests with the emergence of the Fabian Society. He specifically points to its historic wolf-in-sheep’s-clothing imagery and characterizes the Fabians as Marxists who favored gradual transformation rather than an immediate revolution. He names Tony Blair and Andy Burnham and tells the audience he had just written a Newsmax piece about the subject.
