That could make them biased couldn't it? "Seeing" their abuser(s) in those they investigated? Law enforcement must keep in mind that people are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law… but it seems many law enforcement have severe problems with that. I can only imagine how hard it would be with someone you believed is an abuser.

Yes… We the People are absolutely to blame… but remember the people also elected/hired and paid people who swore an oath… and then those people actively shit on that oath and what they were paid to do.
