Houthis Issue Video Of Saudi F-15 Shootdown, As Ground Clashes Intensify In Yemen

Update(1135ET): The Houthis have released new footage which appears to confirm the earlier Saudi F-15 jet shootdown, with aircraft falling in the Marib area. The footage shows militants celebrating near the wreckage.

Below is the clip as released by Ansar Allah officials, which has since been given confirmation by some foreign and international outlets. It suggests that the Houthis have locally-made ability to down advanced aircraft, which should seriously worry Riyadh and Washington.

According to the latest on the fighting in Yemen, clashes are intensifying:

Yemen’s pro-government Southern Giants Forces say that they are engaged in clashes with Houthi forces on the Kahboub front near the Bab al-Mandeb strait.

The government-aligned forces claim in a social media post that they have inflicted heavy personnel and equipment losses on the Houthi forces.

Global oil prices continue climbing amid a slew of negative headlines:

Russian war with Europe would be ‘very short’ – Lavrov

A conflict between Moscow and NATO would only happen as a result of Western aggression, the foreign minister has stressed

Some European nations, including Germany, Poland, and the Baltic states, have increasingly claimed that Russia could target NATO territory in the next few years, urging more military spending in preparation.

Lavrov denied those claims during his appearance at the International Youth Festival in the city of Yekaterinburg in the Urals on Wednesday.

“We’ve said repeatedly that we have no intention of attacking Europe. Russian President Vladimir Putin recently addressed this issue in detail, emphasizing that we have no interest in doing so,” he said.

However, the minister warned that “if Europe, which talks daily about preparing for war against Russia, attacks Russia, it will be a completely different war, and it will be very short.”

During the BRICS Summit in New Delhi last week, Putin said that Western governments are promoting an imaginary ‘Russian threat’ and pushing Europe closer to a direct confrontation in order to distract the public from numerous problems in their home countries.

“We are not threatening and are not going to threaten European countries. Why would we?” he said.

The president stressed that plans floated by a number of European states to deploy forces in Ukraine would also cross Moscow’s red lines.

“They are now talking about how they are considering sending troops into Ukrainian territory. This means war with Russia,” he said.

Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski stated during the Yalta European Strategy meeting in Kiev over the weekend that “If Russia attacked us and we took our gloves off, I think we would defeat Russia quite quickly.”

Russian presidential aide Nikolay Patrushev responded to Sikorski on Tuesday, dismissing his assessment as an “amateurish view” and saying that Moscow had yet to utilize its full military potential in the Ukraine conflict.

“If Poland was to enter military action against Russia, our country would employ the full arsenal of its available forces and resources, and Polish statehood would cease to exist within two or three days,” Patrushev declared.

Pentagon’s Iran war costs hit $38 billion in five months – budget office

Costs could rise by $2-3 billion a month or higher if the fighting escalates, the Congressional Budget Office has cautioned

In a report released on Tuesday, the CBO estimated Defense Department expenses from the start of US combat operations on February 28 through August 1. The figure includes the estimated cost of replacing expended munitions and equipment lost in battle, as well as additional flying hours, military operations, and higher fuel costs.

The office said its estimate was “subject to considerable uncertainty” because the Pentagon did not provide the requested information, forcing analysts to rely on government databases and publicly available reports. The estimate also excludes the cost of repairing damaged US bases, military casualties, future veterans’ care, and expenses borne by other federal agencies.

Another month of conflict would cost about $2 billion if violence remains at the “low and sporadic” levels seen in May and June, the CBO estimated. If operations return to their July intensity, the monthly bill would rise to about $3 billion. Costs could be higher still if the conflict escalates further.

Billions of dollars’ worth of US weaponry has been used up in the conflict. The CBO estimates that replacing munitions used through August 1 would cost $21.7 billion, including $7.3 billion for land-attack cruise missiles, $13.1 billion for missile-defense interceptors and $1.2 billion for other weapons.

The Trump administration asked Congress in June for $87.6 billion in supplemental funding, including $67.1 billion for the Defense Department. The CBO assessed that $42.3 billion of the overall request appeared directly related to the Iran war.

The report was released as CBS News published photographs showing extensive damage caused by Iranian missile and drone strikes on US positions across the Middle East. The images were provided anonymously by active-duty service members because of military restrictions on contact with the media.

“This is major damage to our bases that hasn’t been communicated to the American public,” one deployed service member told CBS News.

The photographs showed a destroyed E-3 Sentry surveillance aircraft at Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia, along with damaged buildings and burned-out vehicles at US facilities in Kuwait.

The Pentagon inspector general separately reported that US forces had suffered $3.7 billion in equipment losses through late June. Nearly 60 manned and unmanned aircraft were damaged or destroyed, according to the watchdog.

Disgruntled troops leak PHOTOS of extensive damage to US bases from Iranian strikes

The vast amount of destruction at American facilities in the Middle East isn’t being communicated to the public, the soldiers told CBS

US troops have leaked new images to CBS News capturing widespread destruction at American military bases across the Middle East from Iran’s missile and drone attacks.

The servicemen who provided the photos chose to stay anonymous because of harsh media restrictions in the US military, the outlet said in an article on Tuesday.

“This is major damage to our bases that hasn’t been communicated to the American public,” one of the soldiers stationed in the region said.

The service member complained about insufficient air defenses at the US facilities, saying “we’re standing there with our eyes closed getting punched in the face.”

The Iranian munitions that are getting through are “not ‘squirters’” as US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth called them after six American troops were killed in a strike on a US military tactical operations center at the Port of Shuaiba in Kuwait in early March, the soldier stressed. “We’re not defending these bases. We’re just watching them get destroyed.”

PUT HER UNDER OATH: Freedom Caucus Chair Demands DOD Vaccine Czar Face Congress

Rep. Andy Harris wants Dr. Terry Adirim to answer for the September 2021 Pentagon memo that drove the COVID-vaccine mandate across the force.

Five years after the Pentagon’s COVID-vaccine mandate, House Freedom Caucus Chairman Andy Harris wants the official who signed its pivotal implementation memo under oath before Congress.

Harris called on House Oversight Chairman James Comer, Senate Homeland Security Chairman Rand Paul, and Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations Chairman Ron Johnson to summon Dr. Terry Adirim, the acting assistant secretary of defense for health affairs who signed the Sept. 14, 2021 directive.

That memo told Defense Department providers they “will” use Emergency Use Authorization-labeled products interchangeably with fully licensed vaccines, according to Harris’s Sept. 14 release.

Harris, a physician and former Naval Reserve medical officer, said the two-page order changed the Pentagon mandate from a clinical recommendation into a coercive order. He called the memo unlawful and blamed it for destroying service members’ careers.

“Our Warriors deserve the truth. Put her under oath.” — Rep. Andy Harris

Harris said more than 8,400 troops lost their positions after refusing the mandate and urged Congress to question Adirim about her role.

Trump Administration Plans To Give Israel $2.8 Billion Worth of 2,000-Pound Bombs

The massive weapons transfer would be paid for by US military aid to Israel

The Trump administration is planning to move forward with a massive military aid package for Israel that will include 40,000 2,000-pound bombs, The Washington Post reported on Tuesday, as the US continues to support Israel’s genocidal campaign in Gaza and its wars and occupations in the West Bank, Lebanon, and Syria.

The report said the sale, paid for with US taxpayer dollars, will include 20,000 MK-84s and 20,000 BLU-117s, each weighing 2,000 pounds. It will be funded by the State Department’s Foreign Military Finance program, under which the US provides foreign governments money to purchase US weapons.

Tucker Carlson first reported the massive transfer in a post on X minutes before the Post published the report.

“An American-made Mark 84 has a destruction radius of half a mile. It releases a thermal wave the temperature of the surface of the sun. Within 100 feet of the explosion, rock melts and human flesh turns to vapor,” Carlson said.

“The bomb collapses apartment buildings and leaves craters thirty-five feet deep. Until the war with Iran, the US military generally avoided using the Mark 84 in urban areas. It kills too many civilians,” he added. A recent US strike in southern Iran that hit a house hosting a wedding, killing at least five civilians, was likely carried out with an MK-84, according to an investigation from The New York Times.

Carlson noted Israel’s extensive use of 2,000-pound bombs in Gaza. “In the weeks after October 7, the IDF dropped nearly six hundred 2,000-pound bombs on densely populated areas in Gaza, including on more than 100 officially designated civilian evacuation zones. The slaughter was so grotesque and embarrassing that for a moment the Biden administration paused a shipment of Mark 84s. Those shipments quickly resumed under Trump. Now they’ve accelerated,” he said.

According to Carlson, the Israeli request for the massive bomb shipment “originated at the US Embassy in Jerusalem, which is run by Christian Zionist Ambassador Mike Huckabee and his aide David Milstein, who is the stepson of Fox News host Mark Levin.” He said it was quickly approved by Secretary of State Marco Rubio and now needs the approval of Senate leaders, though the Trump administration has previously bypassed the normal congressional review process to arm Israel with 2,000-pound bombs.

Netanyahu: I’ll introduce bill to revoke citizenship of those who slander IDF abroad

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says that he will introduce two bills to punish those who slander IDF soldiers abroad.

The first bill will introduce the option of revoking their citizenship, and the second will increase the sum they can be sued for if found guilty, Netanyahu says in a video, explicitly referencing Democrats party chief Yair Golan, former military advocate-general Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi and the filmmakers behind the recent film “NAZA.”

“Their place isn’t here,” says Netanyahu, adding that he expects all Zionist parties to support the measures.

Meanwhile, Israel is changing course in its reaction to the film “NAZA,” Channel 12 reports.

According to an internal memo obtained by the outlet, Israel has realized that the movie that accuses the IDF of intentionally endangering civilians Gaza hasn’t created much buzz abroad, and Israel’s reaction is actually fanning the flames.

“Currently, the aggressive response from Israel is causing the conversation to move from the movie itself to accusations that Israel doesn’t allow freedom of speech,” an IDF source dealing with the response tells Channel 12. “Therefore we are lowering our media profile.”

Israeli diplomats tell the outlet even before Netanyahu released his video that the Prime Minister’s Office is “igniting the internal argument around the movie for political reasons an as part of the election campaign. One hand is trying to lower the profile, while the other hand is sending the head of the Shin Bet to investigate and ministers to demand that the filmmakers have their citizenship revoked.”

“Israel is stuck between what is right for it internationally and what is right electorally for politicians,” diplomats say.

Vance: US cannot let its Mideast foreign policy be ‘subservient to Israel’

US vice president says allies sometimes disagree, Trump has shown he’s ready to ‘part ways’ with Netanyahu for sake of American interests; envoy Huckabee insists relationship ‘solid’

US Vice President JD Vance said Tuesday that Washington can’t let its policies in the Middle East be “subservient” to those of Israel, and must place its own interests first.

Speaking to a conference organized by the All-In Podcast, Vance said of US-Israel ties: “Obviously Israel has been an important partner when it comes to military technology, when it comes to intelligence sharing, but also sometimes the United States doesn’t… agree with Israel.”

He said that US President Donald Trump is ready to place his country first if need be.

“I think that more than frankly any president in the last 40 years, he has shown a willingness to actually part ways with Bibi Netanyahu when he feels like the interests of the American people are different from the interests of the government of Israel,” Vance said, using Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s nickname.

“Donald Trump is the one president of the last 40 years who’s been willing to say ‘You know what, yeah Bibi’s a good partner, but also Bibi and I have a different opinion on this,’ or ‘Bibi’s wrong about this,’ or maybe ‘Bibi’s right about this from the perspective of Israel, but the American people need us to go in a different direction.'”

Vance argued that “rooting this relationship, like all relationships, in America’s interest is the way to actually have a rational conversation here.”

The vice president said this was true for NATO as well.

“[We have] a lot of important relationships, a lot of important partnerships in NATO, but that doesn’t mean we’re gonna completely make our European foreign policy subservient to NATO, in the same way that we cannot let our Middle Eastern foreign policy be subservient to the State of Israel,” Vance said.

“We’re gonna work with people when we work with them, we’re gonna disagree when we disagree. And we’re gonna pursue America’s interests. That’s the only way to have a rational foreign policy.”

Washington Told Trafficking Victims to Call a DEAD Phone Number

A new performance audit from State Auditor Pat McCarthy confirms Washington printed a victim assistance hotline on posters at rest areas, on state websites, and inside three separate state laws, then let that line get disconnected in 2024 and never fixed the materials. The hotline had fielded nearly 3,500 calls from Washington and helped identify almost 1,800 potential trafficking victims before it went dark. The state’s response? Agencies gave themselves until August 2027 to finish cleaning up posters, websites, and the actual statutes still pointing victims to a dead number. Meanwhile the Department of Transportation is out there hanging more than 400 signs at rest stops, some of which still list the disconnected line. This is what passes for competent government in Olympia.

Texas state trooper heads to federal prison in online child exploitation investigation

LAREDO, Texas – A 40-year-old Laredo man has been sentenced for attempting to entice someone he believed to be a 12-year-old girl to engage in sexual activity.

Christian Estrada pleaded guilty April 8.

U.S. District Marina Garcia Marmolejo has now ordered Estrada to serve 120 months in federal prison. In handing down the sentence, the court noted how disturbing it was that someone in such a respected position would commit the offense. Estrada was further ordered to spend the rest of his life on supervised release following his prison term. During that time, he will have to comply with numerous requirements designed to restrict his access to children and the internet. Estrada will also be ordered to register as a sex offender.

From April through December 2025, law enforcement conducted an undercover operation involving Estrada, who used the name “dopehound” while communicating on Reddit, Snapchat, and Telegram.

During the online conversations, Estrada expressed a sexual interest in a fictitious 12-year-old girl and discussed arranging a meeting with her to engage in sexual activity. He also repeatedly requested nude or sexually explicit images of the child.

In November 2025, Estrada asked to communicate directly with the girl and provided his Snapchat account information. He later initiated a conversation with an undercover account he believed belonged to the 12-year-old girl. During the exchange, he requested sexually explicit images and continued discussing sexual activity.

Authorities later obtained records from Reddit Inc. that helped identify Estrada as “dopehound.” At the time, Estrada was a sworn law enforcement officer employed by the Texas Department of Public Safety as a state trooper.

At Least 20 Killed, Including 11 Children, in Collapse of Gaza City Building Damaged by Israeli Strikes

The sudden collapse of the building, which was known to be unstable due to damage from Israeli strikes earlier in the war, has also left 20 Palestinians missing. The collapse underscores the desperate living conditions for most of Gaza's population

https://archive.li/x3Bb7

Despite the five-story building being known as unstable due to damage from Israeli strikes, families had been forced to live in the building due to a lack of alternatives, Gaza's civil defense said. Six displaced families, totaling around 100 people, had been living there at the time of the collapse, half of them children.

Rescue teams, which have been digging since the collapse, are operating under difficult conditions and with a lack of heavy mechanical equipment, Gaza's Civil Defense spokesman Mahmoud Bassal said. Over 20 people have been rescued alive, he added.

A group of men was seen carrying the headless body of a child. Others sat atop a pile of rubble, pulling desperately at flashes of color they believed could be clothing worn by a survivor. All they found were dust-caked blankets wedged in the debris.

Videos shared on social media on Tuesday night showed first responders and residents pulling bodies out of the wreckage. One video shows first responders trying to rescue a trapped, wounded child laying next to the body of his dead brother. In other videos, calls for help can be heard coming from inside the wreckage.

Dr. Ramiz Alakbarov, the UN humanitarian coordinator in the West Bank and Gaza, called for "urgent approvals for the entry of heavy machinery, specialized equipment, engine oil and fuel needed for search-and-rescue operations," noting "every minute counts."

Long after Israel and Hamas declared a cease-fire in October, buildings keep collapsing in Gaza. Wednesday's incident appeared to be the deadliest collapse that was not directly caused by an airstrike. The Civil Defense noted that over 2,000 structures throughout the Gaza Strip are also at risk of collapse.

All of Gaza's roughly 2 million people now live in a stretch of land that makes up less than half of the territory. They remain dependent on aid and are surrounded by Israeli troops who carry out strikes or attacks on a near-daily basis.

There has been no reconstruction work in the enclave since the cease-fire was declared last year. Israel has said it will not allow any rebuilding until Hamas disarms. The level of destruction means Palestinians have been forced to choose between crowded tent camps or what's left of the enclave's damaged buildings.

Irish Protestors Take To the Streets With Enormous Inflatables of Netanyahu Mounting Trump

The protest, organized by groups including the Irish Neutrality League and the Irish Anti-War Movement under the banner “Trump, You Are Not Welcome Here,” drew more than 10,000 people according to organizers, who said the march took over half an hour to fully depart its starting point at the Garden of Remembrance.

Marchers made their way along O’Connell Street toward the Dáil, Ireland’s parliament, chanting slogans that mixed anti-war and anti-Zionist sentiment.

At the center of the spectacle were the inflatables: a larger-than-life Trump figure positioned behind an equally oversized Netanyahu—demonstrating what protesters see as Trump’s subservience to Israeli interests.

Political Backdrop

The demonstration reflected a convergence of Irish opposition to Trump’s foreign policy, particularly his administration’s support for Israel’s military campaign in Gaza and its broader Middle East posture. Ireland has maintained a tradition of military neutrality, and speakers at the protest warned that allowing US military use of Shannon Airport was eroding that principle.

The timing also intersected with Ireland’s presidency of the Council of the European Union, which Taoiseach Martin acknowledged had stretched Garda resources thin. “This is an exceptionally busy year,” Martin said, adding that “very significant resources” had been allocated for both the EU presidency and Trump’s visit.
