President Donald J. Trump this week authorized JAG to open an investigation into outgoing House Rep. Thomas Massie on suspicion of treason, Real Raw News has learned. The orders, a JAG source told RRN, center on yet unsubstantiated allegations that Massie received covert Democratic National Committee cash for eschewing the Constitution and abetting Democrats seeking to bifurcate MAGA.

Massie and Trump’s often rocky relationship predates the president’s reelection. They first clashed in March 2020 when Massie blocked a vote on the CARES Act COVID relief bill. Trump called Massie a “third-rate Grandstater” and urged Republicans to eject him from the party. By 2022, though, they had apparently buried the hatchet, as Trump endorsed Massie’s campaign and even touted him as a “first-rate defender of the Constitution.” And again Massie backstabbed Trump by endorsing Ron DeSantis in the 2024 GOP primary—but backed Trump once DeSantis suspended his campaign.

Following Trump’s second inauguration, Massie, in the eyes of many MAGA, went full RINO. He voted against the Big Beautiful Bill and military action in Iran and Venezuela. He helped force the (partial) release of (heavily redacted) the Epstein files, which Trump has referred to as a “Democratic HOAX.” These are controversial topics, and Massie, alongside defectors Tucker Carlson, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and former NSA analyst Joe Kent, has been excommunicated by MAGA on Trump’s side of the partition.

Opposing a policy is no crime. Nor is dissent for moral or ethical reasons. However, under USC 18 U.S. Code § 201, public officials face criminal charges for demanding, receiving, or accepting anything of value in return for being influenced in an official act, and, per President Trump’s directive, it’s also treasonous.

What we know so far is that on Tuesday afternoon the Staff Judge Advocate General’s Office in Pensacola, Florida, received a three-page memo bearing Trump’s signature that authorizes JAG to investigate Massie’s votes, public and private statements, and financials for indicators that he “took money from political adversaries to divide MAGA/America First.”

Our source said the document mentioned a former Massie staffer who claimed, without evidence, that a mid-level DNC operative funneled into Massie’s personal bank accounts $6.2m via 501(c)(4) groups and Democratic Super PACS. Purportedly, Massie took possession of the funds before Trump-endorsed challenger Ed Gallrein defeated him in the Kentucky primary.

“The complainant says the money was earmarked for Massie to rupture MAGA,” our source said. “To obstruct President Trump’s foreign and domestic policies, including the Iran thing and immigration enforcement. To split between populist nationalists and limited-government conservatives so that Democratic candidates could exploit the resulting turnout gap. If he was financially incentivized, we’ll find out soon.”

RRN reached out to the White House for comment, and an administration official, asking not to be named, said, “Hypothetically, when a sitting member of Congress appears to be financially motivated to peel off the base that delivered two electoral victories, that crosses from politics into sabotage, mutiny.”
