The New Hampshire Democratic Party announced Wednesday that it is renaming its fall fundraising dinner from the Kennedy-Clinton dinner to the Eleanor Roosevelt Dinner.
That dinner was renamed the Kennedy-Clinton dinner from the Jefferson-Jackson dinner in 2016 but party activists have been pushing for a change due to controversy over the past presidents' sexual harassment, the Concord Monitor reports.
The name change comes amid the rise of the #MeToo movement and increased unpopularity of Bill Clinton for his affair with Monica Lewinsky and alleged sexual assaults of other women.
Just four years ago Clinton headlined the fundraising dinner.
