This whole dirty system that is being dismantled is built like a pyramid. You can knock the capstone off, sure, but that's pretty easy to rebuild. Instead dismantle block by block until you get to the top. What happens when a top doesn't have a bottom? It doesn't support itself. It can't stand on it's own.
