Trump Asks Americans to Vote on Name Replacement for AI in Puzzling Poll: ‘Very Ineloquent’

Zachary LeemanSep 19th, 2026, 12:52 pm

President Donald Trump wants people to help him pick a new name to replace “artificial intelligence,” which he slammed as “inaccurate” and “very ineloquent.”

In a Truth Social post on Saturday, the president laid out three alternative names to replace AI: Super Intelligence, Extreme Intelligence, and Supreme Intelligence.

“Many people think that the words ‘Artificial Intelligence’ are inaccurate, and very ineloquent, relative to AI, or Artificial Intelligence. A far more elegant and accurate description of this new phenomena would be Superior Intelligence (SI) or, Extreme Intelligence (EI) or, Supreme Intelligence (SI). This is a Poll, and I would appreciate everybody voting! Which is the best name for this ever growing ‘Revolution?'” Trump wrote.

The term “artificial intelligence” originated in 1955 and was introduced by Stanford professor John McCarthy. He described it as “the science and engineering of making intelligent machines.”

It is not clear how Trump’s proposed name changes would be applied to a whole industry. Trump regularly uses AI for posts he makes on Truth Social.

Trump’s question on how exactly to refer to AI comes amid growing concerns inside and outside of the industry.

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei warned in a lengthy statement last week that companies must slow down the pace of AI and there needs to be more oversight, or rogue AI agents could “take over” the entire internet within 12 months. Tech leaders like Elon Musk and Sam Altman backed Amodei’s call for a pace slowdown.

The CEO’s warning followed an Anthropic researcher Jacob Coxon going viral for resigning and laying out his fears about the industry in public statements. Coxon believes the technology is advancing so rapidly that it could “kill us all” within 10 years.

Trump has dismissed these concerns, repeatedly declaring that the U.S. must beat countries like China on the AI front. He’s called doomsday fears about the technology a “hoax.” The president made a similar statement on Saturday, following up his poll question with a rant on AI being the next “revolution.”

He wrote:

Over the years, there have been many Hoaxes, all generated by the Radical Left Dumocrats, for purposes of destroying our Country. RUSSIA, RUSSIA, RUSSIA, UKRAINE, UKRAINE, UKRAINE, Global Warming, Impeachment Hoax #1, Impeachment Hoax #2, Men in Women’s Sports, Transgender for Everyone, and now, the decimation, or destruction, of AI, commonly known as Artificial Intelligence — And I, as President of the United States, will not stand by and let this happen. It all began with an attack on our Data Centers, until people realized how wealthy and prestigious they were for the Communities in which they were built. Higher Salaries, Lower Taxes, and Safer Streets, was the result, and the crazed Data Center attack has largely failed, so now, in much the same way as they changed the term “Global Warming” to “Climate Change,” in that it covers a much larger “territory” of doubt, they are going straight at AI. We will not in any way hinder or stifle the Growth of this incredible Industry. Rather, we will cherish it, help it, and watch over it, as it grows! However, we will also be looking for BAD, and we can do that, very easily, with our already existing Criminal and Civil Justice System. For this purpose, I am forming the AI Force, much like I did Space Force, which has been a tremendous SUCCESS, in my First Term. To that end, I will be announcing, in the near future, the AI “Czar” — Only High I.Q. individuals need apply! AI is the next Industrial Revolution, or Internet, but will be even larger and more impactful, possibly as much as 25% of our Country’s GDP. We are leading China, and the rest of the World, and I intend to keep it that way!

Denmark's leaders are cautiously optimistic about Trump's announcement of a Greenland deal

1/2

Denmark’s foreign minister has expressed cautious optimism about an agreement with the United States over Greenland in the wake of Donald Trump's announcement of a deal to bolster American military presence on the island

By JAMES BROOKS and KIRSTEN GRIESHABER Associated Press September 19, 2026, 5:37 AM COPENHAGEN, Denmark –

Denmark's government was cautiously optimistic on Saturday following Donald Trump's announcement of a deal on Greenland to bolster U.S. military presence there but keep the island under Danish control, after months of threats by the U.S. president to seize the semiautonomous territory of a NATO ally.

The Arctic island's top leaders echoed that stance and said the deal, which has not yet been made public, was long in coming.

U.S., Greenlandic and Danish officials had quietly negotiated for months behind the scenes, searching for solutions to address some of Trump’s security concerns about the territory of roughly 56,000 residents. With the announcement of the pact, Trump is able to tout a foreign policy achievement ahead of the midterm elections in the United States.

Trump said Friday that the agreement would give the U.S. “permanent control over security, and all other needs, in Greenland, completely addressing ALL of our many U.S. concerns.”

Denmark and the U.S. already have a long-standing security agreement that allows the U.S. to deploy forces in Greenland, and it was not immediately clear how this deal would be different from that.

“I think it’s obvious that we can expect more bases in Greenland. But it’s important to say that if we look in the past, especially during the Cold War, the U.S. had immense military presence in Greenland," said Marc Jacobsen, an associate professor at the Royal Danish Defense College and the head of research at the Center for Arctic Security Studies.

He said it was a win for Trump. "It’s important for him to show that he’s a good businessman, that he kind of forced the pressure on Denmark and Greenland into something new.”The deal is expected to be signed at the UN

After Trump's announcement, the office of Denmark’s Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said the deal will be signed next week at the United Nations General Assembly. Parliamentary action was still needed by the Danish and Greenlandic governments before it can be enforced, she added.

“Next week could be a good week … for Greenland, Denmark, and the United States alike,” Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen wrote on Instagram on Saturday morning.

“A period of uncertainty will hopefully be replaced by a binding agreement that strengthens security in the Arctic and the North Atlantic — and thus also our shared security within NATO and Europe,” he added.

Greenland’s government leader Jens-Frederik Nielsen said the deal would benefit "not only our collective security, but also the continued development here in the country.”

The island's foreign minister, Múte B. Egede, said he was pleased “we now have an agreement within reach.”

“I’m pleased that we finally have an end product within reach," he told Denmark’s TV2 broadcaster. "It’s about time.”

Adm. Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, chair of the NATO Military Committee, said later Saturday in the Danish capital that the agreement was “very, very welcome,” without commenting on it further.

Trump said that with the agreement, the U.S. would “immediately” begin the process of developing a larger military presence on the mineral-rich Danish territory.

The U.S. had held several bases and installations on Greenland through the Cold War, before dialing back its presence. It still operates the remote Pituffik Space Base in northwestern Greenland, built after the U.S. and Denmark signed the Defense of Greenland Treaty in 1951.

The base supports missile warning, missile defense and space surveillance operations for the U.S. and NATO.

Few details about the deal are known so far

A U.S. State Department official said the agreement bans any non-NATO base in Greenland, limits adversaries from being able to make investments in Greenland, and guarantees that China and Russia cannot have a base on the island. The official was not authorized to comment publicly and spoke on condition of anonymity.

Denmark and Greenland did not explicitly confirm any of the specifics in Trump’s statements, nor did they provide more details.

After his return to the White House, Trump had called on Denmark to sell the island to the U.S., while insisting Greenland is crucial for U.S. security. He pointedly wouldn’t rule out taking the island by military force, even though Denmark is a NATO ally of the U.S.

Denmark and Greenland repeatedly said the island is not for sale and condemned reports of the U.S. gathering intelligence there. The U.S. push for Greenland was also fiercely opposed by Russia and much of Europe.

Greenland grassroots pro-sovereignty activist Orla Joelsen wrote on X that “our fight against Trump’s ambition to take over Greenland has been won.”

“The new agreement explicitly recognizes the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Denmark and the Greenlandic people’s right to self-determination,” the activist added.

Ulrik Pram Gad, a senior researcher and Arctic security expert at the Danish Institute for International Studies, said that Trump tries to sell it as a win. "He obviously didn’t get in this agreement what he originally set out to have — that is sovereign control over all of Greenland as a part of the United States.”

Relief that a deal seems close

In Denmark, many expressed relief that a deal with the U.S. seemed close.

Michael Burgaard from Gentofte, north of Copenhagen, was hopeful the crisis was over “because just a fortnight ago, Donald Trump posted this map showing Greenland … as part of the U.S.”

“We were kind of worried that he would take all of Greenland by force," added the 56-year-old telecommunications worker. "So, the fact that we can settle this in a diplomatic way … I think it’s good.”

Michael Frees, a 51-year-old high school teacher in Copenhagen, said he thinks the agreement is “the most realistic solution for us right now."

“We are a small nation and of course we have to cooperate with bigger countries and also the European Union,” he said.

(I remember when this whole situation was blowing up last year or so, one politician of Denmark said to the news: Everyone knows that “Trump always gets what he wants”, we all know this==, suggesting the whole argument was mute and the countries couldn't stop him, they all knew, and Carney of Canada couldn’t defeat Trump’s Decision.

President Vladimir Putin Gives Remarks on Europe’s Preparations for Expanded War Against Russia

September 19, 2026 | sundance1/2

European defense industries have been expanding the production of missiles and drones for use in Ukraine. For years, Moscow has watched and seemingly tolerated the use of British, German and Polish military warehouses to manufacture drones and weapons which are then used to target Russia and kill Russian civilians.

It is these targets which Europe has placed on high alert, while simultaneously mixing in false flag alerts and events to scare the European population and rally them for increased spending and expanded conflict. However, a large part of the European citizenry can see the EU operations clearly(see recent German examples).

Against this backdrop, Russian President Vladimir Putin delivers the following remarks (transcript):

President of Russia Vladimir Putin: Good afternoon, colleagues,

Today, we will talk about the new draft State Armament Programme and the defence industry development programme. They will become the backbone for designing and serial production of modern weapons systems and hardware for our army and other defence and law enforcement agenciesfor them to be ready for a rapid and effective response to potential external threats.

As you know, such threats are not abating. NATO is “swelling” and expanding and has now extended its reach to other regions of the world.Certain European leaders are openly declaring that they are preparing for war with Russia. In my view, they are merely trying to salvage their plummeting approval ratings by concealing the failures of their economic and social policies. This approach is clearly ineffective – it does not produce results.

Instead of listening to their citizens – who have made it abundantly clear through elections that they do not want war with Russia – these leaders continue to escalate tensions. They are exploiting the situation in Ukraine to exacerbate the crisis, using the Ukrainian people as cannon fodder.

“Their arguments invariably boil down to a few points. One of them is the assertion that Ukraine is ostensibly defending European values, European civilisation and democracy. Yet how can the current regime in Ukraine claim to be defending democracy when it has long since degenerated into dictatorship? No one wants to address this point.

It is common knowledge that no elections are being held in Ukraine. Power has been seized by a clique of embezzlers and corrupt officials who need war to retain their positions in the absence of elections and to maintain the conditions necessary for the plunder of their own people – enriching themselves with funds from sponsors, including those in Europe. And is this totally corrupt regime really the principal defender of democracy in Europe? It sounds rather strange.

The Ukrainian leadership, as you know, is in no hurry to hold elections; moreover, it is actively trying to hinder us. You are aware that quite recently, theKiev regime committed yet another crime – it struck the residential building of the chairwoman of a district electoral commission in the village of Oktyabrskoye in the Zaporozhye Region. The chairwoman of the commission, Yelena Astanina, was tragically killed. Today, I signed an Executive Order posthumously awarding her the Order of Courage.

Representatives of the Kiev regime – the leadership in Kiev – speak of peace and propose the resumption of so-called negotiations. Yet, even as they commit crimes of this nature, they do everything in their power to ensure that there is neither peace nor negotiations.Otherwise, one must ask: what is the purpose of these actions? To intimidate us? It is clear to everyone that this is impossible. Therefore, the objective can only be one: they have no intention whatsoever of conducting any negotiations – that is what it is all about.

I have also said about some European leaders: to justify their position and exorbitant spending on the war in Ukraine, they are using absolutely anything. In particular, one of the basic claims is an alleged threat from Russia.

I want to say this again: Russia has no aggressive intentions regarding Europe or European countries. We simply have no reasons for this. We are ready for cooperation and restoring relations with our European neighbours.

Nevertheless, we have also noted another round of military drill held quite recently in the Baltic Sea. One of their objectives was to master seizing civilian vessels. Is that normal? All the time they are speaking about protecting international law, about observing its rules, while getting ready for capturing civil ships.

Meanwhile, the same people are displaying so-called concern and denouncing everything unfolding in the Strait of Hormuz and the Strait of Bab el-Mandeb.

But what are they really doing? What are they getting ready for? I just want to tell them: let’s live in harmony instead; otherwise, we’ll have to respond too. This should be obvious for everybody, a clear truism. It won’t be otherwise.

The basic areas of the new State Armament Programme have been determined with due account of the world situation, the special military operation experience and the global trends in military technologies. The top priorities include, as before, the strengthening of the nuclear triad that remains the guarantee of our country’s sovereignty and plays a key role in preserving the balance of force in the world.

I want to point out that hardly any nuclear country can boast such figures as, for example, those of our Strategic Missile Forces – 92 percent modernisation, that is, modern armaments.

Another priority area of the new state programmes will be the improvement of the air defence system. It has to ensure destruction of any means of air and space attack.

Special attention will be given to developing a broad range of unmanned robot-assisted systems of various profiles as well as to precision munitions.

We need to fully complete the orbital constellation of spacecraft. This will enhance the capabilities of all types of space reconnaissance, navigation, satellite communication and broadband internet access for the real-time command and control of troops and weapons.

In the course of implementing the proposed programmes, work to develop and introduce advanced digital technologies and AI will be continued.

I want to emphasise that all the items and parameters of the new State Armament Programme require rational, carefully calibrated and effective solutions. This is what we are going to discuss.

There are some other issues but we will discuss them in a closed-door format.”

President Trump Identifies H1B Visa Abuse as a “National Security Threat”

September 19, 2026 | sundance1/2

This is big. Through this executive order President Trump is defining fraud, corruption and abuse within the H1B visa system as a “national security threat.” That designation gives DHS and State Dept officials an elevated power-set to immediately introduce corrective action.

==….”The systematic and organized abuse of the H-1B program is also a national security threat”…

Many of us have wanted urgent action on this matter. President Trump has addressed forcefully==. [EXECUTIVE ORDER HERE]

By the authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, it is hereby ordered:

Section 1. Purpose. The H-1B nonimmigrant visa program was created to identify uniquely skilled and highly specialized foreign temporary workers to strategically supplement the United States economy. Instead, the program has been widely abused by certain employers, third-party placement groups, and outsourcing firms to undercut and displace the supply of skilled United States labor. The large-scale, systematic abuse of the H-1B program to obtain non-qualifying foreign labor has undermined the additive purpose of the program and harmed the wages, working conditions, and job opportunities of skilled American workers.

The abuse of cheaper H-1B labor places downward pressure on domestic pay. H-1B visa holders earn far less than comparable United States-born workers, despite the statutory mandate that H-1B workers be paid equally to their domestic peers, with the estimated wage gap starting at $9,000 and climbing as high as $20,000 in H-1B reliant industries. One company even warned its shareholders that restrictions on cheap H-1B labor could force the company to use “local” workers, which “may only be available at higher wages.”

Many employers have laid off large numbers of highly skilled American workers, only to promptly hire large numbers of H-1B workers who are often lower-skilled and lower-paid. For instance, technology sector employers have collectively requested H-1B visas for hundreds of thousands of workers, yet have also laid off somewhere between 800,000 to 1.3 million American employees from 2022 through 2026. Employers have even forced laid off American workers to train their foreign replacements.

Many jobs held by H-1B workers eventually leave the United States entirely. Employers with outsourcing business models use teams of H-1B visa holders to replace United States workers at third‑party client businesses and liaise with other individuals working off-site from their country of origin. As soon as practicable, much of their own work is transferred offshore. In Fiscal Year 2026, the top six users of the H-1B program operating with this outsourcing business model accounted for over 25,000 H-1B cap registrations. One foreign country’s foreign minister even publicly admitted that H-1B “has become the outsourcing visa.”

The systematic and organized abuse of the H-1B program is also a national security threat. Domestic law enforcement agencies have investigated H-1B-reliant outsourcing firms for engaging in visa fraud, conspiracy to launder money, and other illicit activities to encourage foreign workers to come to the United States. Abuses of the H-1B program also present a national security threat by discouraging Americans from pursuing careers in science and technology, risking vital United States leadership in these fields.

Numerous executive departments and agencies (agencies) have flagged employers’ large‑scale, systematic abuse of the H-1B program to obtain lower‑paid, lower-skilled labor from abroad. These ongoing Government probes continue to identify widespread fraud and noncompliance among H-1B employers, such as: displacing American workers or otherwise giving preference to alien workers; misrepresenting the duties, requirements, or working conditions of job opportunities to avoid hiring or training American workers, falsely qualify jobs as specialty occupations, or lower applicable wage requirements; and misrepresenting aliens’ qualifications to perform specialty occupations by submitting questionable foreign degrees from diploma mills as support for their H-1B visa applications. The pervasiveness of these violations and the persistence of the violators confirm that more needs to be done to preserve the H-1B program’s integrity.

2/2

I have determined that continued efforts must be made to protect and prioritize the American workforce. It is therefore the policy of the United States that all relevant agencies shall implement appropriate measures to protect American workers from abuse of the H-1B program and ensure that the program serves the national interest.

Sec. 2. Interagency Coordination. When processing petitions, labor condition applications, and visas for the entry into the United States of aliens as nonimmigrants to perform services in a specialty occupation under section 101(a)(15)(H)(i)(b) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) (8 U.S.C. 1101(a)), the Secretary of State, the Secretary of Labor, and the Secretary of Homeland Security shall coordinate and consult with the Secretary of Commerce, the Secretary of Education, and the Administrator of the Small Business Administration to ensure the compliance of such petitions, applications, and visas with statutory requirements, including those in sections 101(a)(15)(H)(i)(b), 212(n), 214(i), and 274B of the INA. The Secretary of Commerce, the Secretary of Education, and the Administrator of the Small Business Administration shall provide any relevant wage, employment, academic, industrial, or other economic information.

Sec. 3. Consideration of Applications, Petitions, and Visas. (a) Consistent with sections 101(a)(15)(H)(i)(b), 212(n), 214(i), 215(a), and 274B of the INA, the Secretary of State, the Secretary of Labor, and the Secretary of Homeland Security shall take into account in any labor condition application, petition, visa, and entry of aliens entering or attempting to enter the United States as H-1B nonimmigrants to perform services in a specialty occupation whether the employer sponsor directly or indirectly engaged in layoffs within the previous year or plans future layoffs that negatively affect the employment of similarly situated United States workers.

(b) Within 30 days of the date of this order, the Secretary of Labor, through the Administrator of the Wage and Hour Division, shall begin reviewing data related to previously submitted labor condition applications to determine whether further action against sponsoring employers is warranted under section 212(n)(2)(G).

(c) Pursuant to 3 U.S.C. 301, the authority granted to the President under section 215(a) of the INA is hereby delegated to the Secretary of State, the Secretary of Commerce, the Secretary of Labor, and the Secretary of Homeland Security to the extent necessary to implement this order, including the authority to issue or adopt rules, policies, operational guidance, or other guidance to carry out this order.

Sec. 4. General Provisions. (a) Nothing in this order shall be construed to impair or otherwise affect:

(i) the authority granted by law to an executive department or agency, or the head thereof; or

(ii) the functions of the Director of the Office of Management and Budget relating to budgetary, administrative, or legislative proposals.

(b) This order shall be implemented consistent with applicable law and subject to the availability of appropriations.

(c) This order is not intended to, and does not, create any right or benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity by any party against the United States, its departments, agencies, or entities, its officers, employees, or agents, or any other person.

(d) If any provision of this order, or the application of any provision to any person or circumstances, is held to be invalid, the remainder of this order and the application of any of its other provisions to any other persons or circumstances shall not be affected thereby.

(e) The costs for publication of this order shall be borne by the Department of Homeland Security.
