I don't hate the US. On the contrary, I told an anecdote about how I've loved the US since I was a little kid before kindergarten. Not long after that, well, it was kind of like that was listened to in a way and now there's a vote in October in Alberta. Got to see an uglier side of America in the last 9 years that I never knew existed, but that never changed how I feel for it. Can't love something without accepting its flaws as well. It's not perfect, but it's the best thing man has come up with so far.

The first amendment doesn't give the press the entitlement to be in the White House. Nobody's stopping them from writing articles or spewing propaganda.
