ESA and ISRO extend and broaden cooperation agreement

The European Space Agency (ESA) and the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) have signed an exchange of letters extending their long-standing Cooperative Agreement for a further five years, until 8 January 2032, reaffirming Europe's and India's commitment to expanding cooperation in space.
The signature took place in Paris on the margins of the International Space Summit on 10 September 2026.
"As space activities expand beyond Earth orbit and new opportunities emerge in exploration, sustainability and advanced technologies, international cooperation remains essential.
ESA and ISRO have built a trusted partnership spanning more than two decades, and this renewed agreement positions us to pursue even greater ambitions together while delivering tangible benefits for our citizens and economies.
We look forward to continuing this successful collaboration in the years ahead,” stated ESA Director General Josef Aschbacher.
The Cooperative Agreement, which entered into force in January 2002, provides the framework for cooperation between ESA and ISRO across a broad range of space activities.
ESA and ISRO have previously worked together on a range of programmes and initiatives spanning Earth observation, satellite navigation, space science and mission operations support, while also expressing their intention to deepen cooperation through a Joint Statement of Intent on human exploration signed last year.

The new law authorizes the US president to impose secondary tariffs for key buyers of Russian energy
US President Donald Trump has signed into law a sweeping expansion of sanctions against Russia, giving Washington new powers to target Moscow as well as major buyers of Russian energy.
The legislation authorizes tariffs of up to 100% on goods from certain countries purchasing Russian oil and gas, while imports from Russia could face duties of up to 500%.
The Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act also expands restrictions on Russian officials, financial institutions and other entities linked to the government.
The White House has said the legislation is intended to increase economic pressure on Moscow over the Ukraine conflict while giving the president broad discretion over waivers and the eventual termination of sanctions.
RT examines the law’s key provisions, who could be affected and what the measures could mean for Russia’s trade partners.
What do the sanctions cover?
The legislation was approved by the Senate 86-11 in August before passing the House 262-159 on Wednesday. It originated with Republican Senator Lindsey Graham and Democratic Senator Richard Blumenthal.
Unlike earlier sanctions focused largely on designated companies and individuals, the law broadens restrictions covering Russian government-linked officials, financial institutions and enterprises.
It also targets vessels Washington says are used to circumvent restrictions on Russian oil exports.
One of its most consequential provisions gives the president authority to impose tariffs of up to 100% on goods from countries among the five largest buyers of Russian crude oil or natural gas.
That is considerably below the 500% secondary tariff proposed in earlier versions of the legislation.

Who could be targeted?
China and India are among the countries most exposed to the secondary tariff provisions because of their large purchases of Russian crude.
Türkiye, a NATO member, is also a major importer of Russian energy, while EU countries continue to purchase Russian oil and gas despite the bloc’s efforts to phase out Russian supplies.
The picture is particularly significant for natural gas, where the EU remains a major market for Russia. China has also expanded its purchases, while Türkiye remains another important destination.
The law, however, does not make maximum tariffs automatic. It contains exemptions and gives the US president broad discretion over their application, meaning the eventual impact will depend heavily on how the administration implements it.
How are major buyers responding?
China and India have rejected US pressure over their energy trade with Russia and stressed that their economic and energy interests will guide their policies.
China’s Commerce Ministry has said Beijing reserves the right to take “all necessary measures” to protect its sovereignty, development interests and Chinese companies, while calling for dialogue with Washington.
India’s Foreign Ministry has reiterated New Delhi’s “firm commitment to ensuring energy security for its 1.4 billion people,” saying it would continue diversifying supplies according to market conditions.
Could US-Russia trade grind to a halt?
The legislation retains a 500% tariff on goods imported directly from Russia into the US.
In practice, however, the legislation contains exemptions and gives the president considerable waiver authority.
The White House highlighted that discretion while backing the bill, including the president’s authority to lift sanctions following a peace agreement.
Washington has used similar exemptions before. A 2024 ban on Russian uranium imports included waivers allowing purchases to continue under certain circumstances.
Moscow subsequently imposed temporary restrictions of its own on enriched uranium exports to the US, while allowing exceptions.
What has Moscow said?
Moscow has criticized the legislation, with Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov saying the new restrictions would not achieve their stated objectives and could complicate efforts to reach a settlement of the Ukraine conflict.
”Clearly, this cannot have a positive effect,” Peskov told reporters on Saturday.
The Russian Embassy in Washington has argued that the measures could also have consequences for the US economy, particularly amid tight global energy supplies.
It warned that additional restrictions on Russian exports could put upward pressure on fuel prices and said escalating economic confrontation with Russia and China would be damaging to all sides.

Russian drones have blasted Ukraine's southern city of Zaporizhzhia, a day after Kyiv's forces fired more than 1,000 drones at Russia, officials said.
The war's relentless daily attacks underscore the absence of any significant progress in diplomatic efforts to stop the fighting, more than four years after Russia invaded its neighbour.
There is no sign the war is abating as world leaders gather this week at the UN General Assembly.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he expects to meet with US President Donald Trump at the annual event in New York.
Russian President Vladimir Putin is not due to attend.
Mr Trump today called the war "ridiculous" and said Moscow had "unfortunately lost control" of its diesel oil production as Ukraine targets Russian refineries with long-range drones.
"A large number of (Russian) diesel refineries have been blown up and are, at least temporarily, out of commission," he said in a social media post.
Earlier this month, Mr Trump urged Mr Zelensky to halt the refinery strikes, saying the attacks are causing a global shortage and price spikes.
European leaders, fearing Moscow has malicious intentions on their continent, are keen to put further pressure on Mr Putin to withdraw from Ukraine, but the Russian leader has given no indication he is ready to give up his goals.
The Russian bombardment of Zaporizhzhia late yesterday hit apartment blocks, a university and a shopping centre, among other sites, and wounded five people, Mr Zelensky said on social media this morning.
Smoke rises after drone strikes hit oil refinery in Moscow
Russia also struck nine other regions of Ukraine, he said.
"Russia is not backing down from its escalation and is sending many signals that it is ready to expand the war," Mr Zelensky said.
"At the UN General Assembly, we will discuss how we can achieve peace through joint efforts."
The Russian military overnight targeted Ukrainian logistics hubs, warehouses and ports, among other military-related sites, the Russian Defence Ministry said in a statement.
The attacks came after Ukraine launched a huge swarm of drones at Russia from Saturday to Sunday, including hundreds aimed at Moscow, as voters turned out for the third and last day of a carefully orchestrated parliamentary election.
The Russian Defence Ministry said that its air defences overnight downed 244 Ukrainian drones over Russian regions and the waters of the Black Sea.
Meanwhile, Ukraine's air force said it shot down or suppressed 148 Russian drones in an overnight attack.
During the aerial barrages, drones have repeatedly strayed into neighbouring countries, unnerving leaders who are wary of Russia and fear being dragged into conflict.
Moldova's Ministry of Defence said that part of the country's airspace in the north was temporarily closed overnight after surveillance systems detected an "aerial object" entering its national airspace shortly after midnight.
In recent weeks, Moldova's airspace has been violated multiple times, and drone debris has been found on its territory.
With electronic jamming knocking drones off course, it was not clear whether the drones were Russian or Ukrainian, though officials have often singled out Moscow for blame.
Moldova's pro-Western President Maia Sandu has repeatedly condemned Russia for its war on Ukraine, and earlier this month said Moscow's "brutal war is reaching our border" following Russian strikes along Moldova's frontier with Ukraine.
Drone incursions into Romania's airspace have also increased significantly.

2 killed, 22 injured in RSF drone attacks in El Obeid

Two people were killed and twenty others injured after the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) targeted several neighborhoods in the city of El Obeid in Sudan’s North Kordofan State with guided drones between dawn and midday on Sunday, the Sudan Doctors Network reported.
The attacks resulted in civilian casualties and caused damage to property and civilian infrastructure.
The Sudan Doctors Network said that targeting residential neighborhoods and civilian objects with guided drones represents a continuation of the repeated violations committed by the RSF against civilians.
“These actions endanger lives, exacerbate the humanitarian and health situation in the city, and violate international laws that prohibit such acts,” the network said.
The Sudan Doctors Network called upon the international community, as well as human rights and humanitarian organizations, to condemn these drone attacks on residential neighborhoods.
It also urges the international community to exert pressure on the RSF leadership to cease targeting civilians and to take serious measures to ensure the protection of the population and civilian facilities.

Captain Daniel Arsenault was running a morning charter out of Pensacola on Saturday when he spotted something floating offshore.
He went over for a look, the way you do. Underneath it was a good-size mahi-mahi, which went straight into a cooler already full of fish.
The thing the mahi had been sheltering under was a delta-winged military drone, and it went into the boat too.
It turns out to be an FLM-136 — the American clone of Iran’s Shahed-136, and the airframe behind the US military’s LUCAS attack drone.
Eglin Air Force Base, further along the Panhandle coast, confirmed to TWZ that it had recently lost one. It would not confirm that this was it.

The Catch
Hot Spots Charters is a fishing business, not a salvage operation, so the crew did the sensible thing and hauled the drone aboard with the help of the paying passengers.
Aviation photographer Charlie Green, who knows the operator and supplied the first pictures of the find, says Arsenault then notified every local agency he could think of.
One of them eventually came and collected it. Green did not know which. Arsenault himself was underwhelmed. “Riding along offshore and saw it floating,” he told CNN.
The photographs show an airframe missing its engine, its propeller and its nose cone. That is not sabotage or a shootdown. It is what happens when a small aircraft hits water at speed: the heavy bits at either end keep going and the fuselage does not.
“I can confirm that we were doing a test and the test article went down.”

What an FLM-136 Actually Is
Start with the Iranian original. The Shahed-136 is a delta-wing, propeller-driven, one-way attack drone: cheap, slow, and dangerous mostly because it arrives in quantity.
Russia has fired thousands of them and their licence-built Geran derivatives at Ukraine. SpektreWorks, based in Arizona, reverse-engineered it.
The result, the FLM-136, was built as a target — something for American air defences to practise against, because the best way to learn how to kill a Shahed is to have a Shahed to shoot at. It is 9.8 feet long, spans 8.2 feet, and weighs about 70 pounds.
Then somebody pointed out that a convincing Shahed replica is also, by definition, a working one-way attack drone. Put a warhead where the instrumentation goes and you have LUCAS.
From Target to Weapon
LUCAS went to war on the opening day of Operation Epic Fury, 28 February 2026, flown by Task Force Scorpion Strike — the American military’s first dedicated one-way attack drone unit, stood up under US Special Operations Command Central the previous December.

Thirty-five thousand dollars is roughly what a mid-range family car costs, and a small fraction of what a cruise missile costs. That is the entire argument for the category.
CENTCOM says LUCAS can be launched by catapult, by rocket-assisted takeoff, or off mobile ground and vehicle systems, and that it operates autonomously well beyond line of sight.
Losing them is part of the design. Locals in Iraq recovered a near-intact LUCAS earlier this year, and there were several such finds during the war with Iran.
When the airframe costs less than the missile you would otherwise use, an occasional donation to an adversary’s intelligence service is an accepted cost of doing business.
Why the Gulf, and Why This Keeps Happening
Eglin’s host unit is the 96th Test Wing, the Air Force’s test and evaluation centre for air-delivered weapons, guidance systems and Air Force Special Operations Command kit.
It runs the Eglin Gulf Test Range: roughly 120,000 square miles of overwater airspace covering the eastern third of the Gulf, from the Panhandle down to the Keys, plus 724 square miles of land range holding 70 separate test areas.
That is why development drones fly there. It is also why they occasionally end up in the water.
The Air Force takes this seriously enough to operate a small fleet of 120-foot boats — the only vessels the service owns — crewed under contract by Florida Offshore, which recovers around a hundred drones a year.
Sometimes the boats do not get there first. In 2021 beachcombers in Palm Beach County found a BQM-167A high-performance target drone sitting on the sand.
The Loop Closes at Eglin
There is a neat circularity here that is easy to miss. The FLM-136 exists so that American forces can practise shooting down Shahed-type drones.
One of the most important counter-drone programmes of the last two years — arming fighters with APKWS laser-guided rockets in an air-to-air role — was tested off Eglin, and began there back in 2019 before being rushed into service when the standoff with Iran turned hot.
So the same range that teaches American fighters to kill Shaheds also flies the fake Shaheds they practise on, and now builds the real ones the US shoots at other people. The drone in Captain Arsenault’s boat is a physical artefact of all three of those things at once.
Nobody has said what happens to it now. But the passengers who helped wrestle it over the gunwale have a better fishing story than anyone else on the Panhandle, and a cooler of mahi-mahi to go with it.

MSP Warns Drone Pilots After Near-Misses With Medevacs

A drone descended near Shock Trauma’s helipad as a Maryland State Police medevac departed during an M&T Bank Stadium event.
Maryland State Police is reminding drone operators of their legal obligations to avoid restricted airspace and yield to other aircraft, following two incidents in August in which unmanned aircraft interfered with medevac helicopter operations.
On Aug. 15, Maryland State Troopers were assisting Baltimore City Police at a sporting event at M&T Bank Stadium when a drone was spotted near the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center’s helipad.
A Maryland State Police Aviation Command helicopter, Trooper 1, was on a medevac mission and departing Shock Trauma when the drone began descending in the same area.
Police located the operator, who was not licensed and was flying inside a Temporary Flight Restriction put in place for the sporting event.
State police said helicopter pilots often struggle to spot a drone with enough time to avoid a collision, particularly at night.
Under federal rules, drone operators are responsible for seeing and avoiding helicopters and other aircraft, must yield the right-of-way to all other aircraft, and may not pass over, under, or ahead of another aircraft unless well clear.
A second incident followed on Aug. 31, when Trooper 1 and Trooper 3 responded to a fatal crash on Interstate 70 in Howard County alongside the Shock Trauma GO Team.
A trooper on the ground spotted a drone flying over both medevac helicopters during the response. That operator was never identified.
Maryland allows both manned and unmanned flights, but drone pilots are required to check for Temporary Flight Restrictions and obtain proper authorization before flying in controlled airspace.
Airspace status can be checked through one of the FAA-approved “Before You Fly” apps. Sporting events such as Ravens, Commanders, and Orioles home games carry Temporary Flight Restrictions that prohibit drone flights.
To fly recreationally, operators are required to complete the Recreational UAS Safety Test (TRUST), a free online certification covering safety and regulatory requirements.
Drones weighing 250 grams or more must also be registered with the FAA. Additional information on Maryland UAS operations is available from state police.
This is at least the second time this year Southern Maryland Chronicle has covered new or evolving drone rules in the state; Maryland’s Department of Natural Resources introduced a new drone restriction tied to this fall’s hunting season.

What the Videos Show and What They Don’t
The footage is real, the object is unidentified, and official Iran has said nothing.
Clips began circulating on X and other platforms starting around September 20, showing a slow-moving or hovering object displaying shifting, multi-coloured lights over Tehran’s night sky.
One widely cited recording is attributed to the Azadegan Expressway area of the city.
Similar luminous sightings were reported the same night over Mashhad, according to Intellinews, though no official confirmation followed from either location.
The footage is short, low-resolution, and shaky. No Iranian aviation or military authority has issued any statement identifying the object, declaring it a threat, or linking it to any known operation.
On X, users proposed a range of explanations: a single drone, a formation of drones, a military aircraft, or an LED-equipped kite.
A prominent AI-focused account on X analyzed the footage and concluded the curved multi-coloured lights matched “common effects from distant drones, aircraft navigation lights or LED kites,” stating directly: “Not a UFO.”
The same post noted that modern AI-generated video can look identical to real footage, and that the low resolution prevents any firm conclusion.
At least one user ran the footage through an AI-based video authenticity tool; the tool suggested the video appeared genuine but that the object resembled an illuminated drone, according to Intellinews.

That finding, like everything else about this sighting, sits in the category of plausible but unverified. No radar data, independent geolocation, or technical analysis from a recognized authority has been presented.
The only established fact: unidentified multi-coloured lights were filmed over Tehran and widely circulated online.
Why Tehran Was Already Looking at the Sky

An active war between the two countries is underway, with Houthi rebels attacking Saudi Arabia and Iranian military officials warning that any fresh US strike would trigger harsh retaliation against US bases and regional allies, according to Reuters.
The development of Hypersonic Missiles by regional powers has only intensified the stakes of any such confrontation.
In a widely reported Fox News call, President Donald Trump outlined three options for Iran: wiping Iran out, letting it rot economically, or making a deal. He described himself as in “deciding mode,” according to Reuters and NBC News.
Fox News chief foreign correspondent Trey Yingst summarized the framing for viewers: “The president described the current choices on the table as wiping Iran out, letting them rot economically, or making a deal,” according to NBC News.
Trump also stated he was open to meeting Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian at the UN General Assembly in New York, according to Times Now News and Iran International. The combination of existential threats and a possible diplomatic opening is not a normal news environment.
In that climate, people encountering unexplained lights above the Iranian capital were not processing a neutral visual event. Wartime information operations, misidentification of civilian technology, and heightened psychological pressure are all realistic factors shaping how the footage spread, according to reporting from Indian Express and Intellinews. The use of a covert surveillance app to monitor dissidents illustrates how information operations increasingly blur the line between technology and statecraft.
The RGB light signature and the object’s apparent slow drift are consistent with consumer drones or decorative aerial devices.
That category includes LED rigs sold on retail shelves worldwide and used to light stadium halftime shows, though the comparison remains plausible inference rather than confirmed analysis.
No evidence presented so far connects the Tehran lights to any military operation, foreign surveillance drone, or US activity of any kind.
That absence of confirmation is not itself exonerating or incriminating; it simply reflects how much remains unknown when shaky phone footage is the only available evidence.
The lights over Tehran remain unidentified, and every credible explanation, whether drone, kite, or aircraft, is terrestrial.
No official authority has confirmed anything, and no technical analysis from a recognized body has been published. In wartime, even a hobbyist’s drone becomes a geopolitical Rorschach test.

According to a source, there were 2 prototype Nazi Bells that were secreted out of Nazi Germany at the end of the war.
One of them, apparently went to Russia and from there, due to the heavy radiation signature had to be encased in several layers then was flown via the Russian space craft taken for a UFO in the Kecksburg sighting incident, to the U.S. landing in Kecksburg Pennsylvania.
My previous article about this is here. In that article I questioned Clark McClelland’s story about the Kecksburg incident being a Russian craft with the contents (shaped like a bell or acorn). But with this new information, things begin to make sense.
What I am being told is that the actual bell was recovered in Kecksburg and that it is 6×6 feet in size. However, there were actually two. The other one is missing.
They are saying it is somewhere in the Middle East, very likely, Iran, Iraq or Syria, that it may, for a time, have been in Egypt.
This missing bell may be a later prototype than the one in the possession of the U.S. secret space program and therefore they are in a mad rush to locate and gain possession of the 2nd bell.
In essence, both bells are said to contain the technology for warping time, free energy and more. They contain the secrets that CERN has been searching for and not finding for decades.
This source also reports that the original inventor was a Russian working for the Nazis… possibly of Jewish descent. This lends credence to why the first bell ended up in the hands of Russia.
What kind of deal was made in order to get the 1st prototype bell shipped over to America back in 1965 is not clear. However, there is no doubt that wars and huge amounts of money factor into this hunt for the 2nd Nazi Bell… and if you trace the trajectory of countries invaded by the U.S. for the past 10 years what you are seeing is a pattern that follows the possible trajectory of the missing bell.
What the secret government is most concerned about (and surface government as well) is that the 2nd bell not fall into the hands of unfriendly governments such as Iran, Syria or North Korea… (not to mention China).
While checking with various contacts on the above story it was suggested to me by Ricardo Baretzky, an analyst and global security threat specialist, that this 2nd bell poses a threat to the world that should not be underestimated.

I plan to check with Clark McClelland to find out whether he knew what this acorn shaped device contained. At this time, from what I understand, what was shown in this photo is the casing containing several layers of protection for the bell.
The writing seen around the rim is probably copied from the actual bell, which I am told does have such writing. The lettering has some resemblance to Hebrew writing and could very possibly be of ET origin, with hologram-type properties to assist in safe transport from a hyper dimensional angle.
I also spoke to Michael Schratt, an aerospace historian who specializes in classified aircraft, regarding this story and he confirmed that the above explanation for Kecksburg is very possible in his view.

I have received added information regarding the Kecksburg/Nazi Bell incident from Clark McClelland and am working on getting clarification on this.
It sounds like he is saying the Kecksburg craft contained a “back engineered bell” along with the addition of something inside related to the USSR clock (?) …
I also have added information from Sean David Morton who wrote the book SANDS OF TIME based on the secret files left behind by the former head of Area 51.
This whistelblower, prior to his death, instructed his lawyer to give Sean his files, on the condition, that Sean write a fictionalized account of the true history of the secret space program!
Within those files is information pertaining to Kammler, what happened to him and the Nazi Bell.
Just how much of that information made it into the book is not clear.
However, when I contacted Sean about this new information about the hunt for the 2nd bell and the Kecksburg incident, he suggested that the contents of the Kecksburg ‘acorn’ is a back engineered bell that a Soviet scientist may have been using to travel back in time!
Sean states, that the Nazi bell has the technology to allow us to travel through time, (as is commonly thought) and that the original bell ripped a hole in Space time…
The original rip in spacetime is said to have ‘let in’ the greys and other not so friendly aliens we have been dealing with since that time. The Philadelphia Experiment for example is said to ripped another one…
Interestingly, Sean says, …”KAMMLER had found a way to use these gravity fields without ripping a hole in Time/Space…BUT…MORE IMPORTANTLY…he knew how to CLOSE THE HOLES and STOP access points for the invasion.”
Clark states, based on information from his insider contacts that Kammler was secreted into the states and ended up in Dayton, Ohio…
There is no doubt, according to everyone I talked to, that Kammler had the key to a great deal including the possible mystery of the Nazi bell.
All of this needs further investigation and needless to say, only deep insiders are party to exactly what the bell technology really can do.
Suffice to say that possession of a bell would change the balance of power on this planet and if a 2nd bell really does exist, and is missing (or not in possession of the US secret space program) it is easy to assume that ‘they’ (the secret government/secret space program) would be desparately hunting for the lost bell to this day.

A philosophy writer has alleged that the CIA sought access to consumer DNA databases to identify people carrying genetic markers allegedly linked to extraterrestrial “Nordics”

The allegations were made as the Trump administration released several batches of previously classified UFO-related reports. The Pentagon has long maintained that there is no evidence proving the existence of extraterrestrial life.
Jason Reza Jorjani, a philosophy PhD and science fiction writer, raised the claims during an episode of the American Alchemy podcast.
He said his source was retired US Army veteran Lyn Buchanan, who has publicly said he was trained as a “remote viewer” as part of a secret US intelligence programme, reported The Daily Mail.
Jorjani's Allegations
Jorjani alleged that the programme was aimed at genetic-testing services, including 23andMe and Ancestry.com.
He described the “Nordics” as alleged extraterrestrials who resemble tall Scandinavians, with blond hair, blue eyes and fair skin.
According to Jorjani, Buchanan told him about an encounter with a group of people he described as Nordics at a diner. They allegedly told Buchanan that they knew about a CIA effort to identify alien-human hybrids and wanted his help.
“They live in like small towns in the (Colorado) Rockies and they pass because they look like tall Scandinavian people,” Jorjani said.

Jorjani did not provide a date or location for the alleged encounter. He claimed the group told Buchanan they had come to Earth to escape a “tyrannical” government and had intermarried with humans over generations.
Jorjani further alleged that the CIA had a programme to access DNA databases operated by companies such as 23andMe and Ancestry.com and screen users for a genetic variation allegedly associated with the Nordics.
Buchanan And Kit Green
Jorjani identified Buchanan as his source. Buchanan has publicly said he was trained in remote viewing under a US intelligence programme. He has also spoken in podcast interviews about officials allegedly examining people whose DNA did not fit conventional ancestry patterns.
Christopher “Kit” Green, a former CIA scientist, worked at the agency for 20 years and has publicly acknowledged his involvement with the remote-viewing programme before leaving the CIA in 1985.
However, Jorjani did not explain how Green could have been involved in accessing DNA databases belonging to companies that were founded decades after he left the intelligence community.
The Daily Mail reported that it contacted Green, 23andMe and Ancestry for comments on the DNA-surveillance allegations.
In a separate 2023 interview with the Through A Glass Darkly podcast, Buchanan appeared to support part of the claims. He said he would not take a DNA test from 23andMe because of what he allegedly knew about the data.
Claims About Alien-Human Hybrids
Jorjani also claimed that people allegedly carrying alien DNA may not know about their supposed origins.
He said the alleged Nordic descendants had told Buchanan that their children and grandchildren were unaware of their ancestry and had been given conventional explanations about their family backgrounds.
Claims about alleged alien-human hybrids have also been made by UFO whistleblowers and some US politicians.
Missouri Congressman Eric Burlison has claimed that former President Donald Trump was briefed about the alleged existence of four alien species, including claims about Nordics producing alien-human hybrids.
Burlison and former US Air Force intelligence officer David Grusch have discussed claims about alleged alien-human “crossbreeds”.
Burlison said Grusch had briefed Trump about alleged hybrids living among humans, while also acknowledging that Grusch could not explain how such hybrids could be identified.
Former Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz has separately claimed that the US government has operated secret programmes involving alleged human-extraterrestrial breeding.
He claimed there were several secret facilities involved in such activities. None of these claims has been established as fact.
Ancestry.com says it has more than 30 million people in its consumer DNA network. Meanwhile, 23andMe filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in March last year amid financial difficulties, following a major data breach in 2023 and declining demand.
The company was acquired by TTAM Research Institute, a nonprofit public benefit corporation, in July. More than 15 million people have reportedly used its DNA-testing service.
The CIA has not been shown to have accessed consumer DNA databases for the purposes alleged by Jorjani and Buchanan.

UFO observers suffered 'hair loss, nightmares, boils and radiation illness'

The latest batch of UFO files released by the Pentagon contain a report dating back to 2010 which suggests a number of "human observers" were struck down with a variety of ailments within 72 hours after seeing an "anomalous aerospace-related event".
The 38-page study is titled: "Anomalous acute and subacute field effects on human biological tissues" and it lists symptoms suffered by three "antennae engineers" who were previously "fit and active" before coming into contact with a mysterious event in the skies.
The document reads: "Several years ago three previous fit and active individuals experienced an anomalous ['irregular, incongruous and inconsistent with their domain'] aerospace-related event. Within 72 hours they suffered medical sighs and symptoms".
It went on to list ailments including skin redness, pins and needles, diarrhoea, hair loss, boils and heart palpitations as well as nightmares, insomnia and anxiety while two of the three also suffered photophobia - an extreme sensitivity to light - as well as stinging eyes and swollen eyelids.
One of the three is said to have developed signs of radiation illness as well as "malignant transformations" linked to cancer.
The study concluded the three had been "subjected to an accidental exposure … to a broadband ultrahigh radiofrequency mixed radiation of RF (radio frequency), NIER (non-ionising electromagnetic radiation) and microwave radiation."
It adds the "three antennae engineers [were] subjected to an anomalous 'accident'" but gave few details about the incident that caused the symptoms despite going on to analyse whether "anomalous craft induced affects on humans are intended or not".
It comes after a UFO expert claims glowing orbs seen in the sky could be a "warp drive" used by alien space craft.
Professor Avi Loeb of Harvard University, who is a leading US astrophysicist who sits on the UAP Science Advisory Council, has given his thoughts on the balls of light often seen in reports relating to UAPs (unidentified anomalous phenomena) and claimed the orbs could be light from a transportation mechanism used by extraterrestrial beings.
During an appearance on NewsNation, he explained: "If they have a cargo transportation system between habitable planets within their planetary system, we might see flashes of light from the beamer of a light sail.
"Technology that we can imagine. We don’t have such a system as of yet, but they may have it. In addition, they may also use for transportation a warp drive.
"That’s a bubble of distorted space-time that allows one to carry a cargo at an arbitrary speed across interstellar distances … "If a warp bubble passes through the Earth’s atmosphere, it would cause a disturbance and produce a glowing ball of air. "
He added: "In fact, there are reports in the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters from the U.S. government, including excellent work by the All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) in the Pentagon, about orbs.
"These are mysterious glowing spheres that they appear to be seeing and the FBI and other government agencies are reporting about.
"It’s not at all clear what some of these orbs are. Some of them might be drones but others are definitely not drones. And so it’s a detective story for us to figure out what technology might be employed if these orbs came from outer space."

Synopsis
A mysterious drawing made years after a reported UFO encounter became one of the strangest parts of Betty and Barney Hill's story.
The sketch, based on a star map Betty said she saw during the alleged encounter, was later studied by amateur astronomer Marjorie Fish, who linked its pattern to the Zeta Reticuli star system, around 39 light-years from Earth.
For decades, UFO stories have been filled with strange lights, unexplained sightings and claims of encounters with beings from other worlds.
But one case from the early 1960s became especially influential because it introduced several details that would later become familiar in alien-abduction stories; missing time, humanoid beings, medical examinations and memories recovered under hypnosis.
The story began with an American couple's late-night drive through New Hampshire in 1961 and eventually led to one of the most debated claims in UFO history: a woman's drawing that an amateur astronomer later said resembled a real star system.
In September 1961, Betty and Barney Hill were driving home to Portsmouth, New Hampshire, after a trip to Canada when they noticed a strange light moving across the sky.
What they initially believed was an unusual sighting later turned into a much more disturbing account, after the couple said they could not explain several hours of their journey.
Years later, Betty's account produced another mystery. During hypnosis, she recalled being shown what she believed was a map of stars aboard the alleged spacecraft.
She eventually drew the pattern she remembered. Amateur astronomer Marjorie Fish later studied that drawing and said it matched the Zeta Reticuli star system, around 39 light-years from Earth.
The night that changed the Hills' lives
According to accounts documented by the Boston Public Library, Betty and Barney Hill were travelling along US Route 3 in New Hampshire with their dog, Delsey, on September 19, 1961, when Betty spotted a bright object in the sky.
Barney initially thought it might be a satellite, but the couple stopped to watch it through binoculars. Near Cannon Mountain, Barney said the object appeared to be a large disc with lights around it and figures inside, prompting the couple to drive away.
As they continued, the Hills reported hearing a strange beeping sound and feeling vibrations, while Delsey became distressed. They later said they could not remember part of the journey.
When they reached home after 5 a.m., they believed they should have arrived much earlier. Their watches had stopped working, and Barney's binocular strap was found cut.
Betty and Barney sought an explanation
The couple initially kept much of the experience private. Betty, however, contacted Pease Air Force Base and reported the strange object soon after the incident.
According to the Boston Public Library's account, other people had also reported seeing something unusual in the sky that night, while an Air Force radar operator reportedly noticed a disturbance around the same period.
The Hills therefore believed that officials might be able to explain what they had seen. Instead, the mystery followed them.
Betty began experiencing vivid nightmares about the incident. Barney later struggled with anxiety and health problems. Eventually, the couple sought professional help.
In December 1963, they began seeing Boston psychiatrist Dr Benjamin Simon. He worked with them separately using hypnosis, with the sessions recorded so their accounts would not influence one another.
The sessions produced much more detailed memories.

The memories under hypnosis
During hypnosis, Barney described humanoid figures with large heads and unusual eyes. He recalled being taken aboard the object and undergoing a medical examination. At one point during a session, Barney became extremely distressed as he described the figures and their eyes.
Betty also recalled being taken aboard the spacecraft. She described a medical examination and said one of the beings used a long needle during the procedure. She later recalled asking the apparent leader where they came from. According to her account, he showed her a map.
The strange map Betty remembered
Betty said the leader showed her a map with stars connected by lines, which she understood as indicating where the beings came from. She later recreated the map in a drawing that became known as the Hill case's “star map”.
Years later, amateur astronomer Marjorie Fish studied the sketch, building three-dimensional models of nearby stars and comparing different viewing angles to find a similar pattern.
The Boston Public Library notes that Fish eventually concluded that the drawing appeared to correspond to stars around Zeta Reticuli, a binary star system in the constellation Reticulum.
The Boston Public Library notes that Fish identified it as a possible map of Zeta Reticuli, roughly 39 light-years from Earth. The interpretation became a major part of the UFO story, although it did not establish that the Hills had visited the system or encountered extraterrestrial beings.
Why the star-map claim remains disputed
The Zeta Reticuli interpretation has never been accepted as scientific proof of an alien encounter. One issue is that Fish's interpretation depended on matching the pattern in Betty's drawing to a particular arrangement of stars.
Later researchers questioned whether the proposed stellar configuration remained convincing when more accurate astronomical data and different assumptions were used.
There is also the larger question of how Betty's drawing was produced in the first place.
The memories about the alleged abduction emerged during hypnosis. Dr Simon did not conclude that extraterrestrials had abducted the Hills.
Hypnosis can also make people more susceptible to suggestion and can contribute to the creation or alteration of memories.
That means the recovered memories cannot by themselves establish that the events happened exactly as remembered.
A case that changed UFO stories
Despite those questions, the Hill case had an enormous influence on popular culture.
The Boston Public Library describes the couple's story as one of the earliest and best-known American alien-abduction accounts.
Their story helped establish elements that later became common in UFO fiction and television, including missing periods of time, humanoid aliens, examinations and large, unusual eyes.
The case also attracted attention because Betty and Barney were an interracial couple living in the United States during the civil rights era. Both were involved in civil rights activities, with Barney active in the New Hampshire NAACP and Betty working as a social worker.
Historian Matthew Bowman later examined the case through that social and racial context in his book The Abduction of Betty and Barney Hill: Alien Encounters, Civil Rights, and the New Age in America.
Yale University Press describes the book as an examination of the Hills' lives and the wider American culture surrounding their experience.
CNN also reported on the argument that the story can be viewed through the racial tensions of the period, rather than only as a UFO account. That interpretation remains part of the broader historical discussion around the Hills.
The couple themselves continued to stand by their experience. Barney died in 1969, while Betty continued discussing the alleged abduction until her death in 2004.
More than six decades later, there is still no agreed explanation for what the Hills saw on that New Hampshire road or for the missing period they described. The drawing attributed to Betty is similarly open to interpretation.

If confirmed, the possible existence of hidden chambers could lead to discoveries that may include answers to one of Egyptology’s great mysteries: the location of Queen Nefertiti’s burial chamber.
New Discoveries Beneath the Valley of the Kings?
Using ground-penetrating radar and microgravity measurements, researchers were able to detect the unusual subsurface features, which may have been missed during previous surveys.
These techniques can detect very subtle variations in Earth’s gravitational field that are caused by differences in the density of material within the Earth.
With more than 1,200 measurements across an area of around 35 square meters near Tutankhamun’s tomb, the microgravity survey revealed low-density anomalies, some of which appear to convey right-angled features roughly aligned with the northern wall of the tomb’s burial chamber.
Such characteristics, researchers believe, are consistent with the presence of additional structures.
Mamdouh Eldamaty, an archaeologist at Ain Shams University in Cairo and Egypt’s former antiquities minister, recently said the discoveries could point to the existence of a “hidden complex of corridors and rooms” adjacent to the famous tomb.
Intriguing Features
One very intriguing element of the recent detections is the presence of what appears to be an approximately two-meter-wide corridor, which it is believed may be filled with rubble.
This area, which extends away from Tutankhamun’s burial chamber, may have been missed during earlier investigations, according to George Ballard, a geophysics specialist who examined the recent results, since in the past, researchers have primarily searched for large, empty chambers.

Past searches have also been focused mainly on the area directly behind the tomb wall, which further points to the idea that nearby evidence of hidden chambers simply might have been overlooked.
Another feature the recent survey uncovered, dubbed “anomaly 7,” comprises a low-density zone around a square-shaped region of higher-density material. Ballard has suggested this could point to a chamber filled with objects, although he concedes that the recent measurements were obtained under conditions approaching the limits of what ground-penetrating radar and microgravity surveys can accurately reveal.
A Controversial Hypothesis Resurfaces
Although the recent findings provide new data, they also help revive a controversial theory advanced by British Egyptologist Nicholas Reeves, who in 2015 argued that there were architectural features along KV62’s walls that could point to evidence of additional rooms.
Among these, the long-lost burial chamber of Queen Nefertiti could also be hidden. According to Reeves, KV62 may once have been part of a larger royal tomb complex, which at some time—likely coinciding with the untimely death of the young king Tutankhamun—may have been repurposed.
In the past, geophysical investigations have produced conflicting results, which further complicates ideas like those advanced by Reeves. However, some of those investigations did detect areas researchers say could represent voids—areas that might represent hidden tombs.
The new results have led to renewed interest in the possibility that additional chambers have remained hidden nearby Tutankhamun’s burial place, although presently there is still no evidence that they contain burials, let alone the final resting place of Nefertiti.
The Search for Nefertiti’s Tomb
The final resting place of Nefertiti, Tutankhamun’s half-sister and the wife of King Akhenaten, has long remained one of Egyptology’s greatest unsolved mysteries.
Last year, former Egyptian antiquities minister Zahi Hawass made the intriguing claim that discoveries were on the horizon that could help bring a resolution to this longstanding riddle.
Hawas hinted at the discovery of a new passageway within the Great Pyramid at the time, and some experts suggested that such forthcoming revelations could be linked to the missing tombs of both Nefertiti and Imhotep.
Whether the latest discoveries, which were featured during a recent Nature Briefing Chat, are indeed related to such longstanding archaeological questions remains unclear, although they add to the intrigue surrounding past statements by Hawass and others regarding forthcoming discoveries that, once they are confirmed, could significantly advance our knowledge of Egypt’s Dynastic Period.
The Path Toward Solving the Mystery
Presently, researchers have proposed drilling several small exploratory holes toward one of the most significant anomalies, located north of Tutankhamun’s burial chamber.
There, tiny remote-controlled vehicles fitted with 360-degree cameras can be inserted, allowing archaeologists to investigate any spaces that may exist within.
Before such work can commence, authorization must first be acquired from Egypt’s Supreme Council of Antiquities. Once permission is obtained, the team says their investigations could begin as early as November 2026.
Until that time, the new findings remain only tantalizing possibilities. However, in the months ahead, new information could be unearthed that significantly advances our understanding of the Valley of the Kings and the world of the ancient Egyptians that still fascinates us today.

Astronomer alleges targeted attacks over UFO research

Astronomer Beatriz Villarroel always assumed there would be some resistance to her ideas when she began researching the missing stars phenomenon. She just didn’t know the lengths people would go.
In the full unedited interview with George Knapp in this article, she detailed how she feels she is being targeted:
“In 2021, they already started targeting me when we came up with the first paper, when we saw, ‘hey‘, this looks like UFOs. They didn’t attack me at that time for working with the UFOs.
At that moment, it was people who blocked me out of conferences for my collaboration with Jeff Marcy. Today, of course, when I look back at that, I look at who is there, people who did this, and who are they connected to.
And then I know that. Well, I will not finish that sentence, but I will say they are connections that make me think of certain programs like legacy. Yeah. So that’s all I will say about that.
But I keep a record of these things because I just need to know for myself if I’m getting, like, paranoid or so. After we came out with the papers last year, I expressed disappointment to part of the UAP scientist community because there have been very targeted attacks that have not been nice.
There has been foul play in the background. Including contacting common colleagues and trying to make my life as hard as possible. And I don’t think this has been a very beautiful act, and I hope that people can act with more dignity in the future.
And if you disagree, you can write a scientific paper disagreeing on the science. You don’t need to try to destroy another person, and they try the latter.“
She is not alone, however, as others in the astronomy field – as well as UFO researchers – support her while the battle over the evidence she has presented intensifies.
