Ted Hudacko learned his adolescent son was being sterilized after receiving an insurance claim in the mail. None of the doctors involved had asked for his permission, nor had his ex-wife informed him that their eldest son was undergoing hormonal treatments or surgery despite a court order requiring both parents’ sign-off before their son underwent any “gender identity-related surgery.”
