Netanyahu denies Gaza genocide
Netanyahu in his speech also claimed Israel had prevented a genocide by its devastating military campaign in Gaza.
He called the accusation that Israel was carrying out a genocide against Palestinians - a claim supported by a United Nations inquiry and one levelled by numerous human rights organisations - the “great lie” of the century.
“Here’s a simple truth: Israel didn’t commit genocide. Israel prevented genocide, and that’s exactly what Mr Mamdani’s Hamas buddies would have done to us had we not stopped them,” Netanyahu said, taking a shot at New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
Mamdani has called Netanyahu a war criminal and the pair have criticised one another repeatedly in an escalating public feud.
