Mark Carney says he has considered possibility of US military action against Canada

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has considered the remote possibility of US military action against Canada, according to an interview with The New York Times.

Carney told the Times that his administration has carefully examined the "extreme tail risk" scenario where the US takes military action against his country, and had prepared accordingly, without providing further detail. (==Bullshit, it’s more than likely Carney would like to do this with US but Canada has no real military!)

"I think you have a responsibility in these roles to look at extreme tail risk," Carney told the Times."That's just risk management. That's not a base case, but it would be irresponsible not to" prepare.

Tensions between the neighbouring countries have flared under US President Donald Trump.

Any conflict would likely be highly imbalanced. The US military has more than 2 million active-duty and reserve troops, while Canada has less than 200,000, according to their governments. Similarly, as of 2024, the US possessed 65 military submarines, compared to Canada's four.

Canada, though, has the longest coastline in the world and is close to the Arctic, two circumstances that have prompted Carney to boost defence spending since he took office.

Meanwhile, Trump has frequently talked about Canada as the "51st state". He also started a trade war with it that deepened last month as two countries began exchanging tit-for-tat tariffs on a number of products.

Even since then, Carney told the Times, he speaks with Trump "frequently".

"From my perspective, we have a good relationship in the sense of we can pick up the phone and talk to each other about issues," he told the outlet. "He's direct. I'm direct in terms of where positions are. It's much more efficient that way, and so you know that exists and that will continue to exist."

Carney said he believed there is still a path to resume trade negotiations with the US.Returning to the amicable, decades-long trade relationship with the US would be beneficial for both countries, he said. (Carney lies about everything, London is his masters.)

During Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to the White House on Thursday morning, Chinese photographers stole the show by clashing with Secret Service agents while awaiting Xi’s arrival and later shoving American reporters as they made their way through the briefing room.

President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump welcomed Xi and his wife, Madame Peng, to the White House this morning. Trump and Xi delivered remarks, exchanged gifts, and observed a military review.

The festivities included a B-2 Spirit stealth bomber and F-22 flyover.

This follows Trump’s spectacular welcoming ceremony for the Chinese President on Wednesday at Joint Base Andrews. Trump also orchestrated a B-1 bomber demonstration during an arrival ceremony with cannons, a 21-gun salute, a presentation of colors, the US Air Force Band, platoons from each branch of the US military, and American flower presenters.

Ahead of Xi's arrival, Chinese photographers were causing trouble for the American press and Secret Service.

AFP correspondent Danny Kemp shared footage from a confrontation at the South Portico this morning after the Chinese reporters shoved their way to the front of the crowd to get their shot.

Another clip from the Telegraph's Connor Stringer shows a Chinese photographer being physically restrained and then escorted away by two female Secret Service agents.

White House print pooler Kerry Picket reported:

Following a relatively loud disagreement between Chinese photographers, a White House staff photographer and secret service over where the Chinese photographer could set up, the ceremony began.

POTUS and FLOTUS walked out on to the North Portico where a red carpet was rolled out. They were met by Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife Madam Liyuan Peng who rolled up in a black suv.

During a later photo op, Trump joked that the Chinese had the friendliest press corps, according to the White House press pool.

Following the events this morning, NTD correspondent Iris Tao shared another video from inside the briefing room where a male Chinese photographer "shoved an American female reporter while rushing through the briefing room door to the Oval Office."

MS Now reported on Thursday after being allowed back into the White House that theboycott of covering Trump would likely continue until CNN is given more access to President Trump’s restricted press events Oval Office and Air Force One.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox News, and NBC suspended their pooled coverage of the White House to protest Trump’s ban of CNN, MS Now, and Politico from the White House last week.

This backfired, however, opening the door for Lindell TV and Real America’s Voice to take over the White House press pool and broadcast the event to the entire world.

CNN, MS Now, and Politico were reinstated White House access earlier today after a judge ruled around 1 am that Trump’s ban on the outlets was likely unconstitutional and ordered the White House to restore their access.

This morning, reporters were still barred from the White House amid confusion, but they were later allowed onto the grounds.

CNN celebrated the news live on the air after receiving word earlier that CNN correspondent Betsy Klein was granted access again.

But that apparently wasn’t enough for the press corps. That’s fine. Conservative media will fill the void.

“We are all waiting to hear whether or not CNN is going to be given— granted access back into the pool, which they have been a part of. And if they are not, then our understanding is that those five outlets are going to maintain that solidarity and moving in unison and saying that they will not then cover the president in the pool,” MS Now White House correspondent Laura Barron-Lopez reported during a live shot.

“And so obviously we cannot stress enough how important that access is, and how difficult it is, and how time-consuming, and the resources that it takes for all of those outlets, Fox, ABC, CBS, CNN to do that.”

She further suggested that without the five major networks participating, the public will not be able to see as much audio and video from the President’s interactions with the press before decrying.

“I covered the first Trump administration, and now one of the biggest differences with what he is doing to the press— yes, he’s always attacked the press, he has called us the enemy of the people since he came onto the political stage in 2015, but he is now operating and taking direct action and using the full power of the government to restrict press access,” she complained.

“This is an administration, this is a president in his second term who is attempting to use the levers of the government in a way that he didn’t even try to in his first term.”

California Supreme Court Rules Against Sheriff Bianco in Massive Election Fraud Investigation Related to Seizure of 650,000 Ballots

The California Supreme Court on Thursday ruled against Riverside Sheriff Chad Bianco’s massive election fraud investigation and sided with the state’s far-left attorney general.

Earlier this year, the California Supreme Court ordered Sheriff Chad Bianco to pause his massive election fraud investigation and preserve the 650,000 ballots he seized.

A state appellate court previously rejected California Democrat Attorney General Rob Bonta’s emergency writ to halt Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco’s bombshell investigation into 45,000 extra votes mysteriously counted in the November 2025 special election.

Chad Bianco, who ran for California governor as a Republican, previously moved to seize approximately 650,000 ballots and initiate a recount after a citizens’ group reported significant discrepancies, according to CalMatters.

Bianco revealed that a team of 10 investigators had already begun counting ballots before being ordered to halt their work, as part of an ongoing election investigation, The Sun reported.

According to Bianco, the team’s initial progress suggested that counting the approximately 611,000 ballots would take about five days to complete. However, the effort was paused before a full review could be conducted.

Bianco previously paused his investigation because of the onslaught of legal issues.

California Attorney General Bonta slammed Sheriff Bianco and celebrated the State Supreme Court’s order earlier this year.

“What the Sheriff says and what he does are often two different things,” Bonta said in a statement.

“Today’s decision by the California Supreme Court reins in the destabilizing actions of a rogue Sheriff, prohibiting him from continuing this investigation while our litigation continues,” Bonta said in April.

On Thursday, the California Supreme Court, stacked with Democrats, ruled against Bianco.

The Orange County Register reported:

Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco’s seizure of more than 650,000 ballots as part of a criminal investigation was unlawful, according to a California Supreme Court opinion issued Thursday, Sept. 24.

The court also found that California Attorney General Rob Bonta was within his rights under the state constitution to order the sheriff to halt the investigation and order Bianco to comply with Bonta’s directives.

Before the court were two cases. One, filed by Bonta, sought to halt Bianco’s probe. The other, filed by the UCLA Voting Rights Project, demanded the sheriff return the confiscated ballots to the registrar.

The ballots remained in the sheriff’s custody as of Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 23, according to Elizabeth Florer, spokesperson for Riverside County’s elections office.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahurailed against New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani in a speech at the UN General Assembly on Thursday.

“Mr. Mamdani, you tried to stop me from coming here. You tried to silence me,” Netanyahu said. “But you cannot silence me and you cannot silence the truth. And this is the truth: Israel did not commit genocide. Israel prevented genocide!”

He continued, “Mr. Mamdani, since you were elected mayor of this city, many Jews no longer feel safe in New York. They talk to me. They tell me. This isn’t the city we remember. It changed so quickly.”

Netanyahu once again falsely accused Mamdani of supporting Hamas militants as he raged against the mayor, who campaigned for office on a promise to have Netanyahu arrested for alleged war crimes should he visit the largest US city, but later said he determined he lacked the legal authority to do so.

Mamdani described Netanyahu this week as "the architect of a horrific genocide against Palestinians." He posted a video the night before Netanyahu’s speech captioned: “Last night I planted an olive tree at Gracie Mansion with Palestinian families from Gaza. May peace be our future.”

Trump Butler rally shooting victim James Copenhaver is dead at 76

A Pennsylvania man who survived gunshot wounds during President Trump's Butler campaign rally two years ago has died, sources confirmed.

James 'Jim' Copenhaver, 76, died in hospital on Wednesday after surviving the terrifying rally that saw Trump shot in the ear on July 13, 2024.

Copenhaver endured permanent 'life-altering' injuries after he was shot twice at the infamous rally; once in his left arm and again in his abdomen.

The native of Moon Township, around 20 minutes from Pittsburgh, was in critical condition at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh before he was left numb from his knee to his hip.

Joseph Feldman, the family's attorney, told Fox News at the time that Copenhaver was 'a tough guy' after he was able to survive the horrific injuries.

Ken Silva of Headline USA first reported the death, citing sources close to the family of Copenhaver, who wrote the foreword for the journalist's book, The Trump Assassination Plots: What Investigations Missed and Why it Matters.

Silva said he had few details surrounding Copenhaver's sudden passing, 'but it was no secret that Jim was dealing with permanent injuries from Butler - including having bullet fragments still inside of him.'

In the foreword, shared by Silva on social media, Copenhaver wrote: 'I've lived a good life, but most of it has been what I'd described as "uneventful" in a grand historical sense.'

'Jim endured unimaginable hardship with strength and perseverance. We join his family and loved ones in mourning his loss and praying for them during this difficult time. May he rest in peace,' the agency said.

Copenhaver recalled raising his family, working for over 30 years and his time playing in a band and asked how he would be remembered in the foreword he penned.

'Well, I got my answer… though taking a bullet meant for the President wasn't exactly what I had in mind,' he said.

Copenhaver recalled his day at the rally leading up to 'when I almost met my maker,' and said a friend had got him the tickets…..
