In the name of racial justice, California Democrats limit who can be pulled over.
“The Los Angeles City Council just ruled that the LAPD is no longer allowed to pull people over if they have expired tags, non-functioning taillights, a cracked windshield, broken sideview mirrors, an illegal tint, a loud exhaust, or missing license plates.
What reason, might you ask, that they have for doing this? Well, they said, quote, ‘it disproportionately affects Black and brown motorists.’ These are the LA City Council members, by the way”
I verified this and it passed UNANIMOUSLY with Democrats, all 14 Democrat City Council members passed it
They voted to restrict “pretextual” stops, meaning cases where an officer uses a minor vehicle-code violation as the legal reason to stop someone in order to look for something like guns, drugs, warrants, etc
But of course now this can be used to just not pull people over because of their skin color, meanwhile I’m sure white people will be pulled over more than ever
