An Israeli Apache helicopter attacked a Lebanese rapid response ambulance crew in the town of Mayfadoun in southern Lebanon today.

 

It is part of a documented pattern: since October 2023, Israel has killed at least 135 Lebanese healthcare workers and civil defense personnel and carried out 179 attacks on ambulance crews, averaging two health workers killed every day at the height of its invasion.

 

Israel has repeatedly struck rescue teams arriving at earlier strike sites in deliberate double-tap attacks, with one ambulance crew hit less than six minutes after arriving to help the first team that had been struck.
