>now according to our constitution they don't get to do it again.

Wrong. It is generally not considered unconstitutional to attempt a second execution after a prior attempt fails, provided the initial failure was an unforeseeable accident rather than intentional torture.

>Perhaps they are using old stock but it's lost it's effectiveness?

I recall the "news" claimed the doctor had also botched a previous execution. Maybe the doctor botched it on purpose?

>The constitution makes clear no one can twice be put in jeopardy of life or limb for the same offense.

That means trial, not completing an execution. The supreme court has already ruled that completing a botched execution was not unconstitutional.

The Supreme Court Precedent

• In the landmark case Louisiana ex rel. Francis v. Resweber (1947), the U.S. Supreme Court ruled on a case where a 16-year-old inmate, Willie Francis, survived an attempted electrocution because the electric chair malfunctioned.

• The Supreme Court held that a second execution attempt does not violate the Fifth Amendment's protection against double jeopardy or the Eighth Amendment's ban on cruel and unusual punishment.

• The Court reasoned that an accidental or unforeseeable failure of the machinery does not add an element of intentional cruelty or amount to a separate punishment. The original death sentence remains legally valid and unexecuted.

>guy was dead that they framed

anon recalls "crazy days and nights" alluded to some link between that guy and the people who killed scalia. kinda vague on the memory of it at the moment, but I think it involved ownership of the club that scalia died at.

anon vaguely recalls the item the dead guy at vegas was involved in the ownership of the hunt club before poindexter, and one of his business associates told him he should get out because something super serious was going to happen at the club. it was mentioned here.

I think I found the blind item, but not the reveal.

according to the item, Paddock owned the apartments where the operators stayed, not the hunt club. I said my memory was vague. here's the blind item.

Blind Items Revealed #12

August 1, 2024

In the past few months, an author managed to track down copies of former leases of an apartment complex in Texas. Why? He had been told that in the 100+ unit complex, the manager had allowed three or four off them to be used by people he had come into contact with in the federal government thirty years previously. The people sometimes needed a quiet place to stay that would keep them off the grid. No hotel rooms. The location was extremely convenient to one of the world's busiest airports. The people would stay a day or two and then move on. The manager was also the owner so could do as he pleased. Beginning a little less than a decade ago, he was told he should probably look for a buyer for the complex because in the first couple of months the following year was going to be an operation that if it failed could have blowback back to the complex. So, our owner sold and just as he had been told, there was an operation the first few months of 2016. It was the death of someone big on the radar and the death was hushed up in circumstances that still baffle everyone who digs into it. No one looked at the body. Everything was done via phone. Our owner heard that he was going to be fingered or the operation even though he had nothing to do with it. A year or so later he got his revenge and went out in a very gruesome way. Those circumstances have also been met with walls of silence and disinformation. The author has quite the paper trail they have followed.
