USSF retires DSP constellation, prepares for Next-Gen OPIR
Oct. 1, 2026
During U.S. Space Command’s Apollo Maneuvers 2026 live-fly exercise in Sept. 2026, Combat Forces Command’s 2nd Space Warning Squadron demonstrated dynamic on-orbit maneuvers with two Defense Support Program satellites ahead of a planned system decommissioning into supersynchronous orbit.
The DSP constellation, initially launched in the early 1970s, served as a critical space-based platform for early warning within the Missile Warning and Tracking architecture.
The system’s powerful infrared sensors detected heat signatures from their location in geosynchronous orbit and communicated with a network of ground stations globally.
“The DSP constellation was foundational to the defense of our nation and MWT enterprise,” said U.S. Space Force Col. Brandon Davenport, Mission Delta 4 Commander.
“These last two satellites were the culminating end to over a half century of space-based early warning. The DSP constellation ensured deterrence during the Cold War and protected our deployed warfighters from the Gulf War until their retirement last month.”
While the DSP constellation provided uninterrupted service to the joint force alongside the Space Based Infrared (SBIRS) constellation, launched in 2011, MD4 is preparing to integrate the Next-Generation Overhead Persistent Infrared Geosynchronous Earth Orbit (NGG) system into its space-based missile warning and tracking infrastructure.
“With these new capabilities,” Davenport continues. “MD4 will continue to strengthen our network of ground- and space-based sensors to defend our nation and protect our joint warfighters against today’s more advanced threats.”
Guardians within the 2 SWS operate and maintain on-orbit MWT capabilities, which includes dynamic maneuvers in a contested environment, as simulated in Apollo Maneuvers 2026. The team is preparing for the next era of MWT ahead of Launch and Early Orbit Testing for NGG.
“Retiring our legacy DSP system allows us to best posture for the future,” said USSF Lt. Col. Ann Hughes, 2 SWS Commander. “Our crews are always ready on each and every system they operate to ensure seamless MWT.
Onboarding future systems requires training for every scenario from unforeseen software issues to countering adversary aggression on orbit. We’re focused on providing a reliable, consistent, and seamless picture of missile threats regardless of the operational environment.”
2 SWS teams have begun training in preparation for onboarding NGG and other elements of the USSF’s future OPIR architecture.
MD4 continues to operate and maintain the SBIRS constellation while integrating new technologies in partnership with Space Systems Command to bolster ground- and space-based sensing and missile detection capabilities.

Record breaker! SpaceX Crew-13 astronauts dock at ISS less than 8 hours after launch in fastest American flight ever
Ocotber 1, 2026
Crew-13 made the fastest-ever trip to the ISS by an American spacecraft.
SpaceX's latest astronaut launch just set a new space record.
The company's Crew-13 mission for NASA arrived at the International Space Station (ISS) today (Oct. 1) at 7:05 p.m. EDT (2305 GMT), 7 hours and 55 minutes after it launched from Florida's Space Coast.
That's the fastest any American spacecraft has ever reached the orbiting lab, NASA officials said.
The previous record was 12 hours and 33 minutes, set in November 2024 by SpaceX's Dragon cargo capsule during the robotic CRS-31 resupply flight.
The fastest that astronauts had made the trip in a U.S. vehicle was 14 hours and 43 minutes, which was achieved by the Crew-11 mission in August 2025.
"We got lucky this time," Julianna Scheiman, director of NASA science and Dragon programs at SpaceX, said during Crew-13's post-launch press conference today.
"The space station was in an opportune spot in space, and the orbital mechanics, the physics of it all, worked out for it to be the shortest launch-to-docking time we've had to date," she said, adding that "this is close to the fastest it could be."
Crew-13 didn't set the overall speed record to the ISS, however — not even close.
In May 2020, a Russian Soyuz spacecraft carrying three astronauts reached the orbiting lab just 3 hours and 3 minutes after lifting off from Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. The Soyuz caught up to the ISS after just two orbits of Earth.
The Soyuz isn't faster or more powerful than a cargo or crew-carrying Dragon capsule. Rather, the difference in chase-down times comes down primarily to choices made by mission controllers; Russia tends to target more aggressive "fast-track" trajectories.
Crew-13 delivered four astronauts to the orbiting lab: NASA's Jessica Watkins and Luke Delaney, Joshua Kutryk of the Canadian Space Agency and Sergey Teteryatnikov of the Russian space agency Roscosmos. The quartet will live and work in space for the next six months.
They'll relieve the four astronauts of SpaceX's Crew-12 mission, which launched in mid-February.
Those spaceflyers — NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway, the European Space Agency's Sophie Adenot and cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev — could return to Earth in their Crew Dragon capsule as soon as Monday (Oct. 5), according to NASA officials.

Italy’s IRIDE completes Eaglet II constellation
02/10/2026
The final batch of Eaglet II satellites for Italy’s IRIDE Earth observation programme has reached orbit, bringing the programme a step closer to providing a full range of satellite data for Italy’s environmental, emergency and security services.
The launch took place on Thursday, 1 October, at 20:32 CEST (11:32 local time) with SpaceX’s Transporter-18 rideshare on a Falcon 9 launcher, from the Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. This brings the total number of IRIDE satellites in orbit to 39.
The satellites form part of a comprehensive system that includes ground infrastructure and digital capabilities that transform the Earth observation data into applications that support public sector services, as well as research and economic development.
The range of applications supported by IRIDE include the monitoring of ground motion, land cover, hydrogeological resources, fires, coastal protection, air quality, weather and critical infrastructure.
IRIDE is a national Earth observation mission initiated by the Italian government and developed by the European Space Agency (ESA) for the Italian Space Agency (ASI).
The programme is an ambitious space initiative funded by Italy’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), which is designed to modernise and revitalise Italy’s economy.
Simonetta Cheli, Director of ESA’s Earth Observation Programmes, said, “This is an exciting milestone for the IRIDE programme. Italy is another step closer to being able to fully support a number of public services to monitor its territory and coasts.
This will benefit Italy’s public sector and all citizens. My sincerest thanks go to the teams that have contributed to achieving this success, including the teams at OHB Italia, ASI and ESA.
I look forward to the launches planned in the coming months, which will further strengthen the programme's capabilities and the expertise of the Italian Earth observation industry.”
The Eaglet II constellation
IRIDE’s Eaglet II constellation, with 24 satellites now in orbit, is complete. The satellites carry multispectral sensors, which capture images of Earth’s surface, as well as an Automatic Identification System (AIS) to support maritime monitoring and safety services.
The satellites were developed and tested by OHB Italia and will be handed over to ASI for operations when fully commissioned. The first in-orbit communication signal from each of the satellites was received several hours after launch at OHB Italia’s Rome Mission Control Centre.
OHB Italia’s Managing Director, Roberto Aceti, said, “The full deployment of the Eaglet II constellation is an extraordinary milestone for OHB Italia. Placing 24 satellites in orbit in less than a year, we have successfully transformed an ambitious project into a complete, operational space system.
This achievement demonstrates the strength of our technological and industrial capabilities, as well as a tangible commitment to our country through highly advanced, operational geospatial services.”
Mario Cospito, Commissioner of the Italian Space Agency (ASI), commented: “Today’s launch is further proof of the capabilities of our industrial system.
Thanks to these new satellites, the IRIDE programme will deliver even higher performance in providing cutting-edge Earth observation data, helping us study ongoing climate change and protect our planet.
Born of the Italian government’s commitment, IRIDE is a valuable infrastructure serving public decision-making.”
A constellation of constellations
As well as the Eaglet II constellation, the IRIDE programme has also launched Hawk for Earth Observation (HEO) satellites.
The HEO constellation carries multispectral, high-resolution optical instruments, which capture image data across multiple wavelengths of the electromagnetic spectrum. Argotec is responsible for developing and building the HEO satellites.
The IRIDE launches to date are:

Juice’s September 2026 Earth flyby: the movie
01/10/2026
On 28 September 2026, ESA’s Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer (Juice) successfully completed a gravity assist flyby of Earth.
Flight controllers guided the spacecraft close to our home planet to increase its velocity by 3.5 km/s and deflect its trajectory by an angle of 20°.
As Juice flew just 8640 km above the Indian Ocean, it snapped a series of images with its onboard monitoring cameras, giving us a unique ‘Juice eye view’ of our home planet.
Juice’s monitoring cameras provide 1024 x 1024 pixel snapshots that can be processed in colour.
Their main purpose is to monitor the spacecraft’s various booms and antennas, especially during the challenging period after launch. The photos they captured of Earth during the flyby are a bonus.
In the first seconds of the video we see a view from Juice monitoring camera 2 – or JMC2 – with Earth appearing as a thin crescent at the bottom right of the frame.
Around 10 seconds in, we switch to a view from JMC1, with almost the entire disc of Earth visible at the top right of the frame. The large land mass that we see is Africa.
Even the Moon is visible as a tiny grey dot to Earth’s right. At the very end of the video, JMC1 gives us a final view of Earth in the distance as it flies away on 29 September.

Nuclear war, Ukraine, ‘AI totalitarianism’: Key takeaways from Putin’s Valdai speech
1 Oct, 2026 23:33 | Updated 2 Oct, 2026 05:13
The Russian president tackled everything from tensions with the West to artificial intelligence during a three-hour-plus marathon
Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered his annual keynote address and answered audience questions at the Valdai Discussion Club’s international forum outside Moscow on Thursday.
During a more-than-three-hour session moderated by foreign affairs expert and RT contributor Fyodor Lukyanov, Putin spoke on a broad range of topics, including tensions with the West, the Ukraine conflict and artificial intelligence.
A world in turmoil and the emergence of a new global balance
The world has reached a pivotal moment shaped by profound transformations in global politics, the economy and demographics, as well as the rapid development of technology, including AI, Putin said.
“We are confident that, in the long term, as we move away from Western hegemony, the global situation will gradually change for the better – toward a more stable, democratic, and free multipolar international order,” he said.
The risk of new conflicts
Technological and social change is fueling a sense of uncertainty and greater international tensions, Putin said.
Governments may seek to preserve stability at home by “exporting instability” abroad, while new opportunities “fuel ambitions” and encourage countries to take greater risks.
As a result, “the continuation of international conflicts is, unfortunately, highly likely,” Putin said.
AI could herald an era of ‘digital totalitarianism’
The proliferation of AI could lead to “digital totalitarianism,” shaping individuals and stripping away their individuality through the use of algorithms configured by others, Putin warned.
“Such digital totalitarianism would be just as much of a dead end – as bleak and inhumane – as the totalitarian societies of the past that we know so well,” he said.
Countries and communities must join forces to find broadly acceptable solutions to the challenges posed by AI and other technologies capable of influencing human behavior, identity and thought, Putin said.
While AI can be a useful tool, any final political decision must remain in human hands, he stressed.
1/2
Relations with the West
Russia’s current tensions with the West date back to the fall of the Soviet Union, when certain Western leaders sought to further weaken Russia instead of welcoming it into the European security system, Putin argued.
“Despite the many years – and I want to emphasize this, many years – of attempts by the new Russia to become part of so-called Western civilization, in practice they did everything they could to truly isolate and further break apart the Russian Federation itself,” the president said.
“They still say this at various events and gatherings even today: ‘We need to finish breaking up the empire,’” Putin added. He pointed to NATO’s eastward expansion, which he claimed violated assurances given to Moscow.
Putin further argued that European politicians were using escalatory rhetoric toward Moscow to draw attention away from political and economic problems at home.
No saber-rattling around Kaliningrad
The president reiterated that Russia would respond to any potential attack on its Kaliningrad Region, an exclave on the Baltic Sea sandwiched between NATO members Poland and Lithuania.
Any assault on Russian territory would “inevitably” be viewed as grounds for using all the weaponry at Moscow’s disposal, he said.
Putin was referring to recent statements by Western officials, including Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kestutis Budrys and Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, who have argued that NATO should be prepared for a potential conflict involving Kaliningrad.
Nuclear weapons as ‘Chekhov’s gun’
The president warned that a conventional war could escalate into a nuclear conflict.
“Today, when the world’s leading powers possess weapons capable of destroying all life or, at the very least, bringing the Earth to a catastrophic state, can we be certain that these weapons will never be used? Of course not,” Putin said.
Putin compared the risk posed by the continued existence of nuclear weapons to “Chekhov’s gun,” a dramatic principle attributed to Russian playwright Anton Chekhov that holds that a gun introduced early in a story should eventually be fired.
”We all know the famous saying: if a gun is hanging on the wall at the beginning of a play, by the end it is bound to go off,” the Russian leader said. “We must bear that in mind and prevent it from happening.”
“If we want to live – and everyone wants to live – then, as I once said in a public speech, let’s live in peace. Let’s work together to find ways to make that happen,” he said.
The Ukraine conflict and Russia’s goals
Putin said the Ukraine conflict, which is on track to enter its fifth year next February, is about Russia’s security rather than territorial ambitions.
He reiterated Moscow’s demand that Ukraine abandon its plans to join NATO in favor of permanent neutrality. Russia is ready to end the conflict, but only on terms acceptable to Moscow, he said.

Lithuania Deploys Ukrainian SkyFortress Acoustic Drone Detection System
October 2, 2026
Lithuania is deploying a pilot version of the Ukrainian SkyFortress system to detect low-flying drones using acoustic signatures or radio signals.
The Ministry of National Defence of Lithuania reported this on October 2.
The Lithuanian Defence Minister explained thatLithuania is adapting solutions already in use in Ukraine to strengthen the entire air-defense chain – from surveillance to the interception and neutralization of threats.
“Instead of creating everything from scratch, we are adapting systems that are already operating in Ukraine,” said Lithuanian Defence Minister Robertas Kaunas.
Using artificial intelligence, the system detects and tracks low-flying drones and cruise missiles. It can classify objects in real time based on their acoustic or electromagnetic signatures.
The deployment is covered by a contract signed in the summer of 2026. The agreement also includes sensor data processing, the use of acoustic and radio-frequency signature libraries based on unclassified information, and personnel training.
There is still little detailed public information available about SkyFortress. According to UNITED24 Media, as of July 2025, Ukraine’s Sky Fortress network consisted of around 14,000 acoustic sensors. Each device cost approximately $400–$1,000.
The acoustic data collected by the sensors is combined with radar information and transmitted to mobile fire teams equipped with tablets.
In the early versions of the system, mobile phones were used to process the data, helping speed up development. The team later developed dedicated hardware with its own processors and sound cards.
A project engineer told the publication that the developers had reached the third generation of the devices by mid-2025.
As Militarnyi previously reported, the Commander-in-Chief of the Lithuanian Armed Forces announced that the Ukrainian acoustic system would be deployed in Lithuania starting in 2026.
He said preparations had been delayed by bureaucratic procedures and the need to adapt the Ukrainian system to U.S.-made equipment.
Reports of NATO countries showing interest in Ukraine’s Zvook and Sky Fortress acoustic monitoring systems first emerged in July 2024.
At the time, Sky Fortress was demonstrated to representatives from 11 NATO member countries at a European military training ground. During the demonstration, the system detected and tracked simulated cruise missiles and drones.

US issues sanctions against Hamas financing network, Treasury says
The United States issued additional sanctions on Friday targeting Hamas' financial network, including targeting a member of the Palestinian militant group's military wing, two France-based fundraisers and two entities, the Treasury Department said.
"These designations expose a sophisticated, multi‑year financing architecture that moved more than $2 million to Hamas through deceptive charitable fronts and cryptocurrency channels, demonstrating the organization’s persistent ability to adapt its fundraising mechanisms to evade detection," Treasury said in a statement.
The Hamas member, Saleem Abdallah Saleem al-Zaq, is a battalion deputy in the Hamas military wing based in Gaza, Treasury said. He oversees a financial network that has used various money services businesses and cryptocurrency wallets to transfer significant funds to the Hamas Al-Qassam Brigades, it added.

Japan air force starts recovery of crashed Global Hawk drone
Oct 2, 2026 4:19 am
TOKYO (AP) — Japan’s air force said it began recovery operations Friday for a U.S.-made long-distance surveillance drone that had crashed into the sea last month, as the country puts greater emphasis on drones in its defense planning.
The uncrewed RQ-4B aircraft, known as Global Hawk, went missing off the northern coast of Tottori prefecture in northwestern Japan in mid-September. The Japan Air Self-Defense Force said it has determined that the drone had crashed and later spotted what appeared to be the fuselage on the seabed about 200-300 meters (650-980 feet) deep.
The aircraft was one of three Global Hawks in Japan’s air force. Capable of conducting long-range missions at a height of 60,000 feet (18 kilometers) and operating continuously for up to 36 hours, they allow Japan to monitor areas on the Asian mainland, including North Korea and China.
The air force has released limited details. JASDF Chief of Staff Takehiro Morita told reporters earlier this week that Japanese defense officials were working closely with its maker, Northrop Grumman, and the U.S. military in the investigation.
There has been no indication of foul play and officials said the cause of the crash was under investigation.
Friday’s work began with the arrival of a mother ship that deployed a remotely operated underwater vehicle to obtain the drone’s exact location and other details, while also recovering debris, JASDF said. Salvaging larger parts of the aircraft is expected later in October.
Japanese officials have said the drone had trouble connecting with a communication device about 90 minutes after taking off from the Misawa Air Base, where it was based. Three minutes later, it disappeared from the radar and was last seen 50 kilometers (31 miles) off the coast of Tottori.
The loss of the drone with a price tag of about 17 billion yen ($107 million) could be a setback for Japan’s surveillance capability. The two remaining Global Hawks have been grounded except for necessary mission, Morita said.
Japan has been revising defense strategies that focus on drones, artificial intelligence and new methods of warfare.

Ethiopia and Eritrea cut diplomatic ties as reported drone strikes raise fears for Addis Ababa
02 October 2026 08:00 AM
Eritrea has severed diplomatic relations with Ethiopia after its neighbour shut its embassy in Asmara and ordered 10 Eritrean diplomats out of the country, marking a sharp deterioration in relations between two former military allies.
Ethiopia announced the embassy closure on Thursday, accusing Eritrea of hostile acts. It gave the diplomats 48 hours to leave. Eritrea rejected the move and said it would end diplomatic ties in response.
The rupture came hours after explosions were heard in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia’s capital and the seat of the African Union.
A source linked to an Ethiopian opposition alliance claimed it had launched drone strikes there, including an attempted strike on military headquarters. The nature and targets of the explosions have not been independently confirmed.
Ethiopia has accused Eritrea, Egypt and Sudan of supporting the alliance, which includes the Tigray People’s Liberation Front. All three countries deny the allegation. Egypt and Ethiopia also expelled one of each other’s diplomats as the dispute widened.
The developments matter beyond the two neighbours. Renewed fighting in northern Ethiopia has raised concern about a wider Horn of Africa confrontation, while the reported activity in Addis Ababa, if verified, would show that a threat previously concentrated far to the north could reach the country’s political centre.
In its announcement of the embassy closure, Ethiopia’s government confirmed the order for 10 diplomats to leave.
Eritrea’s foreign ministry subsequently said it had “no option but to reciprocate in kind and sever all diplomatic ties with Ethiopia”, according to Reuters’ account of the statements and events in Addis Ababa.
From peace partners to a diplomatic break
The two governments restored relations in 2018 after years of hostility. That rapprochement helped Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed win the Nobel Peace Prize.
Eritrean forces later fought alongside Ethiopia’s federal forces against the Tigray People’s Liberation Front during the 2020–2022 war.
Their relationship deteriorated after the 2022 peace agreement, to which Eritrea was not a party. Ethiopia’s push for direct access to the Red Sea has added another dispute between them.
Eritrea fears that Ethiopia could seek control of its port of Assab by force, while Addis Ababa says sea access is important to its economy and security. Business Insider Africa previously reported on the growing dispute over sea access.
DON'T MISS THIS:Ethiopia accuses Egypt of trying to keep it landlocked as it tries to obstruct it from two very commercial African water bodies
The latest fighting has changed the political picture again. Armed groups that previously pursued separate aims have formed an alliance against Abiy’s government. Their ability to act together, and the extent of any outside support, remain disputed.
What is known about the blasts
Three diplomatic sources and witnesses confirmed to Reuters that explosions were heard in Addis Ababa. An opposition-linked source claimed responsibility for drone strikes, but no visible damage near the military base said to have been targeted.
Ethiopian government and military representatives had not responded to its requests for comment. Ethiopia’s intelligence service has banned drone flights over the capital.
That distinction is essential: the explosions are reported, a successful opposition drone attack on military headquarters is a claim, not an established fact.
The African Union Commission said on 1 October that it was concerned by tensions involving Ethiopia, Eritrea and Egypt. It called for “maximum restraint” and urged the three governments to settle their differences through diplomatic channels.
The appeal was reported again on the morning of 2 October.

EXCLUSIVE: Podesta responds to Grusch’s claims from Rogan’s podcast — Signs of Life #04
October 2, 2026
The former WH chief of staff acknowledged participating in a 2016 call about UFOs with Blink-182’s frontman and a now-missing Air Force general.
PODESTA RESPONDS
Joe Rogan released a new interview with David Grusch on Wednesday in which the former military intelligence officer made a series of extraordinary new claims.
More on that below, but first, an on-record response from John Podesta to one claim in particular about the Democratic Party elder’s role in Disclosure efforts.
By way of background: Podesta, whose interest in UFOs dates at least as far back as his stint as Bill Clinton’s chief of staff in the 1990s, has long been an advocate of greater federal transparency on the subject.
During the 2016 election cycle, when Podesta served as chairman of Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, the former secretary of state pledged to seek the release of UFO records if elected.
Hacked emails published by WikiLeaks, meanwhile, showed Blink-182 frontman Tom DeLonge emailing Podesta in 2015 and 2016 about UFOs, Roswell, and DeLonge’s interactions with retired Air Force Gen. Neil McCasland.
The emails also included references to an apparent January 2016 call to discuss UFOs. At the time, DeLonge was working on a multimedia UFO project called Sekret Machines. He went on to launch a company related to UFO media and potential breakthrough technologies.
In Grusch’s new interview, the former military intelligence officer cast those interactions as part of a concerted effort by Podesta to prepare society for the truth about UFOs.
“Podesta greenlit a— I’ll call it acclimatization activity, a popularization activity,” Grusch told the podcaster. “And, you know, that’s why Tom DeLonge got his advisors.
That’s why General McCasland talked to him. It wasn’t because General McCasland, Robert Weiss [then-head of the Skunk Works] at Lockheed, other people— that’s all in WikiLeaks— just wanted to talk to Tom because he was a rock star and was infatuated by his celebrity and wanted to help on a sci-fi movie.”
“It was because they were given top cover to see Tom as a public figure who had the touch of the youth, rightly or wrongly,” Grusch said, “I mean, once again, there was an attempt and I’m not going to judge them bad or good, but they were trying to prep the battlespace prior to 2016.”
In an email to PARADIGM, Podesta publicly acknowledged for the first time discussing UFOs with DeLonge, McCasland and Weiss. But he disputed Grusch’s description of the context for those discussions.
“That is probably not how I would characterize our interaction,” Podesta wrote.
“My recollection is that Tom arranged a conference call with the individuals you mentioned and we discussed amongst other things, declassifying DOD files and reducing the stigma of professionals taking UAP’s seriously,” he wrote.
“I have always maintained that the American people could handle the truth about UAP’s and didn’t really need to be ‘acclimated.’”
1/2
DeLonge’s company, To The Stars, did not immediately respond to a request for comment. DeLonge’s co-founder, Hal Puthoff, said in a text message that he believes the musician encountered McCasland and Weiss before encountering Podesta.
Weiss, who retired from Lockheed Martin in 2018, did not immediately respond to a request for comment left with Ultra Maritime, a company on whose board he serves. McCasland was reported missing from his New Mexico home in February. His disappearance is reportedly under investigation, and his whereabouts remain unknown.
BIG, IF TRUE
Grusch’s claim about Podesta was just one of several fresh allegations he made yesterday, several of them extraordinary. Here’s a rundown of his other claims:
During the course of his internal UAP investigation, he viewed clear video of a crash retrieval that included footage of “beautiful” humanoid aliens with long hair and pale, bluish skin.
He was informed of an incident in which personnel fought with and killed a “reptilian” alien
He reviewed evidence indicating violent conflict between “reptilian” and “gray” aliens
He was told by members of the intelligence community of a deep-sea base “multiple city blocks” in size that objects come in and out of
He found evidence that officers of a government agency were engaged in the trafficking of children and worked with the Justice Department on the matter
He was summoned to a meeting with senior staff from the Senate intelligence committee where he was informed that two people in the government had considered killing him until the idea was “kiboshed” (PARADIGM has queries out about this claim.)
Donald Trump and Stephen Miller are both determined to make substantive disclosures about UFOs and aliens. (Rogan chimed in that Miller told him at a UFC fight that more UFO information is going to come out)
He left his employment as a congressional staffer on Rep. Eric Burlison’s staff around Labor Day. (A spokesman for Burlison, Nate Lucas, confirmed this to PARADIGM but was not able to provide a specific date.)
Corporate counsel for the MITRE Corporation, a nonprofit that conducts R&D for the federal government, is working on a response to a May letter from Burlison demanding the production of UAP-related records.
You can watch the full interview here.
OF NOTE
Rep. Robert Garcia, the ranking Democrat on the House oversight committee, said the future of the committee’s UFO investigation would be decided after the election. (Ask a Pol UAP)
An unnamed “UAP expert who has had discussions with people with direct knowledge of Trump’s concerns” told Politico Magazine that the president seems to believe the government possesses evidence of non-human technology and is “disturbed about what to do.”
Two members of the UAP Science Advisory Council told the magazine they believed the CIA was obstructing disclosure of relevant records, which the White House denied. (Politico Magazine)
The Black Vault obtained new records about the Navy’s efforts to understand UAP via FOIA. (The Black Vault)

After reviewing 155,000 pages across seven countries, AARO finds most sightings trace to misidentified objects or human technology
Key Takeaways
Reviewing 155,000 pages of U.A.P. records, investigators found no verifiable extraterrestrial evidence.
AARO confirms most U.A.P. sightings involve misidentified objects or experimental human technology since 1945.
Skeptic Michael Shermer bets Loeb $1,000 that extraterrestrials will not be confirmed by 2030.
Six tranches of declassified records. A Harvard astrophysicist running a White House advisory council.
And still, after a review of roughly 155,000 pages of U.A.P. records spanning seven countries, The New York Times found no definitive evidence that any unidentified object came from somewhere other than Earth.
That gap between institutional ambition and actual findings is what you need to understand about the Trump administration’s U.A.P. push.
The Council and Its Mandate
A new science advisory body is reviewing government U.A.P. data, but its role is to advise, not to draw conclusions.
Formed in June 2026, the U.A.P. Science Advisory Council is chaired by Harvard theoretical astrophysicist Avi Loeb. The council reports to the U.A.P. Governance Board, which operates under the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
The broader structure coordinates with the Pentagon’s All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office, the FBI, and other intelligence-community agencies.
The council’s membership reflects deliberate range: retired Rear Adm. Tim Gallaudet and Stanford professor Garry Nolan sit alongside anthropologist Peter Skafish and skeptical member Michael Shermer.
The council’s job is to advise on evidence collection, review unresolved cases, and assess national-security implications. It does not make findings.
What the Files Actually Contain
The released records are a substantial archive, but they are not a revelation.
The 2026 releases include a mix of material that reads less like a smoking gun and more like a government archive doing what archives do: accumulate paper.
The released records include military and intelligence documents, video and audio clips, infrared sensor data, FBI and NASA records, and artist renderings tied to historical reports.
1/2
Two episodes stand out. In October 2023, federal agents investigating drone activity near sensitive sites in the western United States reported seeing fast-moving lights converge into a bright orb. They reported the lights changed direction rapidly and produced additional colored lights.
A Pentagon memorandum described agents observing “orbs launching other orbs,” according to The New York Times. The report is notable because government personnel made it; it does not establish that the objects were spacecraft or technologically anomalous.
The releases also include records from a 1949 Los Alamos conference convened to investigate unexplained green fireballs appearing near nuclear-research facilities. Physicist Edward Teller attended, and no cause was determined at the time.
“Even if one in a million happens to be of extraterrestrial technological origin, it would be the biggest discovery ever made by humanity in the context of science.” , Avi Loeb, chair, U.A.P. Science Advisory Council, as reported by The New York Times.
What the Evidence Does and Does Not Show
The evidentiary record and the official findings keep arriving at the same destination.
Loeb’s reasoning is hard to dismiss on philosophical grounds. The evidence, however, tells a consistent story.
“AARO has found no verifiable evidence that any UAP sighting has represented extraterrestrial activity,” acting AARO director Tim Phillips said in an official Defense Department transcript.
The office’s historical review, covering government investigations back to 1945, concluded that most sightings involved misidentified ordinary objects or phenomena, while some others likely involved experimental human technology.
Penn State professor Greg Eghigian, reviewing the latest releases, told The New York Times the documents contained nothing especially earth-shattering.
That assessment reflects a broader pattern: “unidentified” means the available evidence does not support a definitive explanation, not that an extraterrestrial explanation is warranted.
The Divide
The sharpest disagreement is over whether the government has ever seriously looked.
Former AARO director Sean Kirkpatrick called the council a waste of taxpayer money designed to promote fringe theories.
Loeb and his supporters argue that poor sensor design and what they describe as decades of excessive secrecy have left the most unusual cases without adequate investigation.
Shermer, the council’s skeptical member, has reportedly bet Loeb $1,000 that extraterrestrials will not be found by 2030.
Individual council members including Gallaudet and Nolan have publicly suggested a nonhuman presence may exist; those are positions held by individual members, not conclusions supported by the released records.
The government has documented a continuing set of reports of unexplained observations involving military and law-enforcement personnel. None of the released material has publicly demonstrated those observations are nonhuman in origin.
The council’s credibility will ultimately depend on reproducible analysis, verifiable data, and peer-reviewed publication. Until that standard is met, the record is better described as incomplete than inexplicable.

Woman had sex with dolphin in NASA experiment to unlock alien communication
07:00, 02 Oct 2026
Margaret Howe Lovatt was just 20 when she took part in a secret NASA-funded dolphin experiment — and ended up in a sexual relationship with one of the animals, a dolphin named Peter
One woman believed she was helping NASA talk to future aliens, only to find herself in a sexual relationship with a dolphin named Peter.
Margaret Howe Lovatt had harboured a lifelong fascination with animals and their methods of communication, which led her to play a pivotal role in a 1980s experiment involving one of nature's most sophisticated communicators - dolphins.
In 1963, Margaret was living on the Caribbean island of St Thomas when her brother-in-law mentioned a secretive laboratory at one end of the island where researchers were studying dolphins.
Margaret, aged just 20 at the time, drove out to investigate - and was greeted by Gregory Bateson, the laboratory's director, who was immediately impressed by the young woman who had enquired whether she could become involved.
Despite having no scientific background and being simply an enthusiastic animal lover, Margaret possessed a remarkable talent for identifying animal communication patterns, reports the Daily Star.
Gregory permitted Margaret to observe the dolphins and document her findings - her natural ability to recognise animal behaviour secured her position within the study.
Margaret recalls being introduced to three of the dolphins, describing them as: "Peter, Pamela and Sissy. Sissy was the biggest. Pushy, loud, she sort of ran the show.
"Pamela was very shy and fearful. And Peter was a young guy. He was sexually coming of age and a bit naughty."
The extraordinary project had been established to investigate whether dolphins could be trained to comprehend and speak English. With Margaret's assistance, an ordinary house was converted into a dolphin co-habitation facility by filling the ground floor with water.
This allowed researchers working on the programme to reside alongside the animals and monitor them around the clock. As Margaret devoted increasing time with the creatures, she developed progressively stronger connections with them - particularly Peter.
She said: "Peter liked to be… with me. He would rub himself on my knee, my foot or my hand and I allowed that.
"I wasn't uncomfortable - as long as it wasn't too rough. In the beginning I would put him on the elevator and say you go play with the girls for a day.
"It was just easier to incorporate that and let it happen, it was very precious and very gentle, Peter was right there, he knew that I was right there."
Margaret maintains this became a routine element of her research, as she attempted to teach Peter to speak English.
She stated: "It was sexual on his part - it was not sexual on mine, sensuous perhaps. It would just become part of what was going on like an itch, just get rid of that we'll scratch and we would be done and move on. I was there to get to know Peter, that was part of Peter."
Nevertheless, when the experiment's funding ran out, the two were parted and Peter was relocated 1,000 miles away to a small laboratory in Florida.
Yet the separation proved devastating for the apparently heartbroken Peter, who perished just a few weeks later in what seemed to be an act of suicide.
"I got that phone call from John Lilly. John called me himself to tell me. He said Peter had committed suicide," Margaret told The Guardian.
The facility's vet, Andy Williamson, put Peter's death down to a broken heart, remarking: "Margaret could rationalise it, but when she left, could Peter? Here's the love of his life gone."
Ric O'Barry, from animal rights organisation The Dolphin Project, also supported the description of Peter's death as "suicide", adding:
"Dolphins are not automatic air-breathers like we are. Every breath is a conscious effort. If life becomes too unbearable, the dolphins just take a breath and they sink to the bottom. They don't take the next breath."
The facility had been founded by American neuroscientist Dr John Lilly, who had spent years researching large-brained marine mammals.
His ambition was that his experiment on the Caribbean island would enable dolphins to produce human-like sounds through their blow holes, thereby opening up communication with humans.
Dr Lilly secured NASA funding, as he believed it would deepen understanding of other intelligent life forms that rely on alternative forms of communication.
However, what started out as a straightforward experiment quickly became embroiled in controversy by the time it was eventually closed down.
Beyond Margaret's relationship with Peter, rumours also surfaced that the dolphins had been subjected to mistreatment when administered LSD.

Did Trump Authorize The Shootdown Of UFOs? WEAPONIZED : EPISODE #125
October 1, 2026
Did President Trump authorize the military to shoot down UAP?
Jeremy Corbell and George Knapp are joined by Liberation Times journalist Chris Sharp to examine reports of a possible UAP shootdown order, alleged luring operations at White Sands, and the government’s refusal to directly answer questions about what may be happening over sensitive test ranges.
Chris walks through his reporting on White Sands, laser systems, suspected intelligence operations, and why repeated non-answers from both the Department of War and White House have kept the story alive.
The conversation then moves into even more extraordinary territory: David Grusch’s new account of seeing alleged UFO recovery footage involving non-human bodies, reports of competing non-human factions, crash retrieval programs, and the growing question of what congressional staff, intelligence committees, and the White House already know.
At some point, more stories and more videos are not enough.
