>What will you make of that?

Different circles perhaps.

Anon had in mind those for whom SI is an emotionally loaded term and those working with, for example, military members, LEO, other first responders, who carry loss of life sustained under the burden of their command, or has lost to suicide someone whom one cared about, or who has personally served the country well, who has attempted, or still struggles with those thoughts, with moral injuries, nightmares, second guessing, feeling betrayed by institution(s) you thought you were serving when you undertook certain actions, only to find out nothing seems to be what it was represented to be.

Some people are suicidal for different reasons and at different points in time. Some people never are.

Resourcefulness and personal resilience banks can be more depleted at some times than others. Other protective factors can shift in place. Or out of place.

It is a sub group of the population. But it is real. The phrase SI is emotionally weighted. For some. Particularly when they are at their most vulnerable.

And perhaps the Commander in Chief might want to give such things, even if only truly meaningful to a fraction of a fracrion of the population, some consideration.

Or maybe not. So be it.
