By Cristina Laila Oct. 3, 2026

Never forget that Jill Biden hid Joe Biden’s cognitive decline and pushed for him to serve another four years in the White House.

Joe Biden looked skeletal and frail at an event with ‘Reverend’ Al Sharpton this week.

Al Sharpton, Joe Biden, Dr. Jill and others gathered at Howard Theatre in Washington DC to attend an event to honor Lee Saunders.

In May 2025, it was reported that Joe Biden was diagnosed with an “aggressive form” of prostate cancer.

According to Biden’s spokesperson, the former president was diagnosed with prostate cancer with the cancer cells spreading to his bones.

“Last week, President Joe Biden was seen for a new finding of a prostate nodule after experiencing increasing urinary symptoms. On Friday, he was diagnosed with prostate cancer, characterized by a Gleason score of 9 (Grade Group 5) with metastasis to the bone,” the statement said in May 2025.

Joe Biden has made a handful of public appearances this year amid his decline.

Last month Joe Biden said although the cancer has spread to his bones, the radiation treatment from last fall “worked as intended.”

(I think they were lying about his diagnosis, because he has dementia not cancer. They just didn’t want to admit he was incompetent to be president.)

Michigan Senate Candidate Abdul El-Sayed Says Black Americans Often Have ‘Not a Good Experience’ With Arabs(VIDEO)

By Ben Kew Oct. 3, 2026

Democratic Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed has suggested that African Americans often have negative experiences with their Arab counterparts.

El-Sayed, who is of Egyptian descent, made the remarks during an appearance on the Higher Learning podcast.

He was asked about his efforts to strengthen support among black voters ahead of November’s election.

El-Sayed pointed to endorsements from black political leaders and organizations before saying there was also an “elephant in the room” that needed addressing.

“Too often, when folks meet somebody who looks like me, it’s not a good experience,” El-Sayed said.

“Too often, they’re seeing them from behind bulletproof glass in a liquor store or in a gas station. They’re being catcalled, if they’re a woman.”

As a former Detroit health director, El-Sayed also cited complaints about expired food being sold in stores and cigarettes being illegally sold individually to children.

He ecalled confronting an Arab shopkeeper about conditions inside his store while serving in city government.

His comments touch on longstanding tensions between some members of Detroit’s large black population and Arab-American business owners, particularly in predominantly black neighborhoods.

The issue has emerged during a closely contested Senate race against former Republican Congressman Mike Rogers.

El-Sayed won the Democratic nomination in August and has received backing from prominent party figures including Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and the Congressional Black Caucus PAC.

Meanwhile, former Vice-President Kamala Harris recently campaigned alongside him in Detroit.

Republicans consider the race as a possible pick-up opportunity because El-Sayed’s radical beliefs and his links to the Democratic Socialists of America and various Islamic groups.

According to the latest RealClearPolling polling average, El-Sayed currently holds a 3.5 percent lead of his opponent, with some polls putting the race within the margin of error.

The two candidates are scheduled to meet for their first televised debate next week.

Newly unsealed police bodycam footage shows the moment Altoona officers found Luigi Mangione at a Pennsylvania McDonald’s five days after UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was shot dead outside a Manhattan hotel.

A Manhattan judge released the recordings Friday after CNN petitioned to unseal them.

Parts of the footage had been previously played at a suppression hearing last December but had not been made public.

Thompson, 50, was killed on the morning of December 4, 2024, as he walked toward his company’s investor conference in Midtown.

Mangione, then 26, was picked up on December 9 at a McDonald’s in Altoona, nearly 300 miles from the scene of the assassination.

Employees had called about a suspicious customer.

When officers arrived, they saw a man in a ski hat, surgical mask, and winter coat eating a hash brown while Christmas music played.

They told him they were responding to a call about a suspicious person and asked for identification. He handed over a New Jersey license in the name of Mark Rosario, the same name prosecutors say the shooter used at a New York hostel.

An officer asked why he looked nervous.

They told him to put his hands on his head and asked if he had been in New York.

“You’re under official police investigation right now,” one warned. “You give a false name to us again, you’re gonna be arrested for false ID.”

An officer said, “That’s 100% him.”

Another officer responded, “I told you, man.”

Mangione asked why so many cops were there.

When an officer later pressed whether Rosario was really his name, he said, “Uh, no, sir.”

When asked for his real name, he said, “Uh, Luigi.”

When he was asked why he lied, he said, “I clearly shouldn’t have,” then spelled his name.

Officers patted him down, read him his rights, and cuffed him in the restaurant.

A search of the black backpack turned up a gun magazine wrapped in underwear.

Officers searched Mangione more thoroughly at the station.

Officers found a 9mm handgun that was later tied to the shooting, a silencer, another magazine, and a handwritten journal.

Prosecutors have said the notes showed an intent to “wack” a health-insurance executive.

One officer, ticking off the inventory on the phone, said Mangione had “a checklist for today” and that “tomorrow he’s supposed to do an intel check-in and get a survival kit.”

Mangione pleaded guilty in August to federal stalking charges and faces sentencing in December.

The New York Post reports, “His state trial has been postponed while a judge rules on Mangione’s motion to dismiss the murder case.”

Los Angeles County Rolls Out New 10.25 Percent Sales Tax

By Nick Givas, The Western JournalOct. 3, 2026

Los Angeles County, California, instituted a new 10.25 percent sales tax on Thursday, four months after voters approved an increase back in June.

“The Essential Services Restoration Act,” also known as Measure ER,increased the rate from 9.75 percent to pay for healthcare costs and other local services, according to KNBC-TV.

Earlier this year, supporters framed the ballot measure as a way to supplement federal funding losses from President Donald Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill.”

The measure has a sunset provision and will remain in effect for five years until Oct. 1, 2031, but it’s still expected to generate $1 billion per year.

The increase, however, will not affect prescription drugs, medical equipment, or grocery goods.

Some 45 percent of the tax revenue will be funneled through nonprofits and outpatient clinics to help cover the healthcare needs of underinsured and low-income residents.

Another 22 percent will go to LA Health Services, which is the county’s public health system.

The county’s public health department said it has lost $50 million in federal, state, and local funding from recent fiscal cuts.

The funding cannot be dispersed yet, however, after the Libertarian Party of Los Angeles County filed a lawsuit challenging the new tax.

As the case makes its way through the courts, any revenue collected through the sales tax will stay in limbo until the issue is fully resolved.

If the tax is invalidated, refunds will be dispersed.

Dr. Christina Ghaly, director of L.A. Health Services, said, “For patients and families across LA County, Measure ER is a desperately needed lifeline.”

“People do not stop needing care because funding disappears,” she added. “They still need cancer treatment, diabetes and high blood pressure medications, prenatal care, immunizations, and a doctor when they are sick.”

Californians already face some of the highest taxes in the nation. The state’s income tax is the highest in the country at 13.3 percent.

Earlier this week, a CNN reporter called out Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom for his poor management of the state after she interviewed a business owner who was forced to close his restaurant in a hostile economic and regulatory environment.

Senior national correspondent Kyung Lah interviewed local Los Angeles business ownerTom Sopit, whose restaurant survived the COVID lockdowns but is now closing due to crushing regulations, labor laws, and high costs.

Sopit called it a “death by a thousand cuts.”

“The cost of goods, the cost of labor is much higher than everyone else in the country,” he said. “Insurance is a big part of it, with the wildfires controlling the premiums and increases, all the carriers leaving the state, and that’s why it went up so quickly.”

“I think you can’t just keep taxing businesses and people,” Sopit explained. “How are we just keep paying more taxes, but somehow the state just keeps going downhill? That doesn’t make sense.”

When Lah was asked about her interview by CNN’s Dana Bash, she said, “The fees for businesses, the regulations that restrict you from being able to build stuff. All of it is just crushing.”

She added, “These Democrats today are looking at generations where they can’t have what their parents have. Sopit’s parents, who were immigrants to this country, had a business in Los Angeles, a restaurant, and their son could not do the same thing. And that is going to chase these candidates, and, frankly, it’s going to chase Gov. Newsom as he seeks higher office.”
