Trump says US ‘trying to be nice’ to Iran leader: ‘We’ve got to deal with somebody’

President Donald Trump said Thursday that the U.S. is “trying to be nice” to Iran’s current leader as it seeks someone to negotiate with, saying most of the country’s leadership is gone.

Trump made the remarks while discussing the war with Iran during an appearance at a Peterbilt factory in Denton, Texas.

“For the most part, their leaders are gone,” Trump said.

“That was one of our problems. We don't know who the hell to deal with, to be honest," he added.

“We're trying to be nice to the current person, but we've got to deal with somebody at some point. So we're doing very well.”

Trump also expressed confidence in the war's outcome, predicting a quick resolution.

“We'll win very easily,” he added, stating he believes victory will come “right after the election—but maybe before the election.”

“Their currency is valueless. They have no money. They have no Navy—all 159 ships are lying beautifully at the bottom of the sea.” he said.

“They have some missiles, but we can handle it. Very few are left, and their manufacturing capacity is dead,” Trump added

Putin keeps Iran uranium offer on table, hopes Strait of Hormuz stays open

Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday that he hopes the Strait of Hormuz remains open to shipping and that Iran's enriched uranium can still be removed from the country with Moscow's support, according to Reuters.

Speaking at the Valdai Discussion Club, Putin said Russia's proposal to help resolve the issue remains on the table.

Moscow has repeatedly said it is willing to assist.

"We are ready to provide assistance to both Washington and Tehran, not only politically, not only in the form of ideas that could be of use in the negotiation process, but also practically: for example, through the export of excess nuclear material produced by Iran and its subsequent adaptation to the production of fuel for reactors," Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov had also said in June, according to Reuters.

US Energy Department employee charged with trying to aid Iran-backed Houthis

A U.S. Department of Energy employee from Richland, Washington, has been charged with attempting to provide material support to the Iran-backed Houthis, according to the Justice Department (DOJ).

Federal authorities arrested Ashton Hamed Ellaboudy, 51, on Thursday following an investigation by the FBI’s Inland Northwest Joint Terrorism Task Force.

According to court documents, Ellaboudy came to the FBI’s attention after buying precursor chemicals often used to make explosives, as well as drone parts. Investigators also learned he took sick leave in 2024 after claiming he had been exposed to highly concentrated nitric acid.

Using his electrical engineering expertise, Ellaboudy allegedly helped test and modify solar generators and communications equipment while advising an undercover FBI source posing as a Houthi representative.

Prosecutors also allege Ellaboudy traveled to Yemen in 2025 using an official passport previously issued to him while he worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Ellaboudy faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted. He is scheduled to make his initial appearance before a federal magistrate judge at 11 a.m. Oct. 2 in Richland, a DOJ statement said.

Rush Limbaugh was onto the Democrat game back in October 2020 before the stolen 2020 presidential election. An election where Donald Trump won EVERY battleground House race, every historic swing battleground state, and every bellwether county in the US except one. It was statistically impossible for Joe Biden to then “win” the election.

Democrats pushed a candidate in 2020 who could not complete a full sentence, who hid in his basement, and when he did hold a public “rally” he could only get a few dozen supporters to show up in a parking lot to honk horns.

But Democrats were never worried for some reason. You never saw Democrats in full-on panic mode. This was a huge “tell.”

They weren’t campaigning. They weren’t nervous. Their plan was to cheat.

Americans suffered through the tyranny that follows a stolen election.

Democrats charged hundreds of Trump supporters, and raided their homes.

They held political prisoners for years without trial. They threatened to raid the homes of another 1,000 Trump supporters. They spread fear across the land.

Democrats indicted a former president on junk charges while they ignored the BANK STATEMENTS that prove Joe Biden and his family were involved in a massive illegal fraud scheme. This is what you get with stolen elections.

Rush Limbaugh called this out in October of 2020. The great American radio host told his vast audience what Democrats were up to. And he was right.

They resent the whole premise behind elections. Look, they don’t believe they should have to persuade anybody to agree with them. Therefore, they don’t believe in campaigns. They don’t believe in the free, open exchange of ideas. There aren’t any legitimate ideas outside of their own.

They don’t believe in giving legitimacy to anybody who is not already on their side. So if this is who they are psychologically — if they have no interest in persuading people, if they have no interest in acquiring power as a result of massive public support — then who are they? What are they? They want power simply to have it. They don’t want it to derive from the people.

They don’t want it to derive from persuading people that their ideas are the best — and where is all of that codified? All of that thinking, all of that behavior is codified in elections. What are elections about? Elections are about trying to persuade people to support you, to vote for you. Based on what? Well, it could be any number of things.

It could be you’re better looking than the other guy. You’re gonna give away more welfare than the other guy. You’re gonna beat our enemies better than anybody else. Whatever it is, elections are the result of persuading millions of people to support you.They resent having to do that. One reason is they’re a minority. They can’t persuade a majority of people.

They can’t persuade a majority of Americans to support Black Lives Matter.

They can’t persuade a majority of Americans to support burning down

American cities and private property. They can’t persuade a majority of Americans to go along with their ideas on guns and eliminating free speech.

They can’t persuade anybody to agree with that!

Those are things they’re gonna have to force on people, and they are more than willing and eager to force that stuff on you, but they need the power to do it. So they have to go through the motions. The modern-day Democrats have to go through the motions of campaigning, and they have to go through the motions of trying to win the hearts and minds of voters.

President Trump Announces Surprise Nearly $100 Medicare Payments for More Than 20 Million Seniors — Money to be Distributed Within Days from Democrat “Slush Fund” That Sat Unused for Years

President Donald Trump dropped a late-night bombshell Friday for America’s seniors, announcing that his administration will immediately begin sending “checks” of nearly $100 to more than 20 million Medicare beneficiaries to help cover their Part B premiums.

The payments are expected to begin arriving within days.

Trump also separated this payment from another round of refunds already in motion. As The Gateway Pundit reported last month, the administration is sending $500 “Working Families Obamacare Refund” checks to nearly one million Americans in 30 states who were overcharged on Affordable Care Act plans, overcharges the Biden team studied and then kept. Those checks were also scheduled to start going out in October.

Trump closed the post by reminding voters of the larger promise still on the table: the $5,000 “Trump Dividend” for U.S. citizens if Republicans hold Congress in the November midterms.

According to a White House fact sheet released the same night, the one-time payments are $90 per person and will go to more than 20 million Part B enrollees. Most eligible seniors will see a direct deposit in early October.

Those without direct deposit will get a paper check mailed to the address on file with Medicare, also in early October.

The money is coming out of the Medicare Improvement Fund, created in 2008 and stocked with $2 billion by Congress for fee-for-service improvements. No administration had ever used it.

The White House says Trump is the first president to tap the fund to put cash directly back in seniors’ pockets instead of leaving it for special interests.

The same fact sheet notes that previous Congresses treated the account as a piggy bank, including Democrats who raided $20.7 billion from the fund as part of the Unaffordable Care Act, better known as Obamacare.

Most Part B enrollees qualify. Seniors whose premiums are already paid by Medicaid, or who pay the Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amount, do not.

Beneficiaries can call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227) to check eligibility. Payment status questions go to the Social Security Administration at 1-800-772-1213.
