Today, I'm calling on Congress to pass legislation to address fraud in Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security programs. First, Congress must impose mandatory minimum sentences on fraudsters who steal from critical benefit programs designed to take care of the sick, feed the hungry, care for our children, and protect our senior citizens retirements.
Under our proposal, probation is no longer an option for the fraudsters. If you steal from the American people, you will go to prison and for a long period of time.
And the more you steal, the longer you'll stay in that prison. Not only that, but if you're a convicted fraudster who gets caught stealing from the American people a second time, your sentence will be doubled.
Second, Congress must make sure that crooked and corrupt politicians who willfully turn a blind eye to fraud finally face real consequences.
Under our proposal, if a state or local politician knows about fraud and has the ability to stop it, but does nothing about it, they can be personally liable for the full loss of the American taxpayers money that they should have stopped and they should have saved.
This legislative proposal will make fraudsters think long and hard before they keep stealing from the American people and will make crooked and corrupt politicians think also long and hard before they ignore fraud that they can stop and that they should stop. So from now on fraudsters, we're watching you.

If Tom Cotton were putting Arkansas first, he would give them an extra hour of daylight and, more importantly, they wouldn’t have to run all over their houses, farms, work places, and everywhere else, twice a year, having to change their Clocks, and often forgetting to do so. That is really putting Arkansas FIRST, and I know, because, unlike Tom, I won that Great State, three times, and by almost 40 points! Additionally, it would be a very nice and easy WIN for the Republican Party, in particular, the Republican Senate, a place where we could use some WINS! The House approved, long ago, “The Sunshine Protection Act,” by a very Bipartisan Vote, 308 to 117. It has been held up in the Senate, a place where things go to die, by Tom Cotton, for months! — And for what, other than “ego?” The reason that it was terminated in the past was that certain Congressmen and Senators, from long ago, used it as a “negotiating chip” for far more important Legislation — And they got plenty! Everybody loved it, but it was given up in order to get bigger, better, and more consequential “things.” Give the Republican Party a Senatorial WIN, for a change! Thank you to Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, and all Members of the House of Representatives, both Republican and Democrat, who so overwhelmingly approved “The No More Ridiculous Changing of Your Clocks Act,” and who so strongly want their “SUN” in the afternoon, rather than the early morning — Loved by Farmers, Sportsman, and Sports (Copy of PGA TOUR letter below!). Daylight Saving Time is 65-35 in the Polls but, why wouldn’t it be — Who wouldn’t want more “SUN” in the afternoon than in the morning?
