Hidden message here:

We just slapped Iran with big time sanctions. POTUS publicly stated "If you're doing business with Iran, you aren't doing business with the United States." Line in the sand.

CHINA, meanwhile, issues a statement to the effect that fuck you, we're going to do business with Iran. Just as the next phase of trade war tariffs comes into play.

Reconcile.

This has suddenly turned into a gigantic game of Chicken. If China doesn't back off, sanctions will be levied that will CRIPPLE the Chinese economy by denying them the US market. Individual companies will face sanction. The government itself might face sanction.

It used to be that we didn't fuck with a situation like that because it would raise oil prices. But thanks to shale, the US is a net energy exporter, now. The biggest in the world. Higher oil prices mean US companies get bigger profits. Sanctions against Chinese companies improve the competitive value of US made products.

I'd say about a 15% chance it escalates to a shooting war over this, but failing that I foresee China backing down, complaining bitterly about US hegemony.

That's a win-win situation.

They're trying to explain away Q as a larp. But they aren't wrong. This is a lot more fun than a political rally.

Sather is not a king. He's enthusiastic, but he's ignorant of a lot of things, and just a bit too gullible. Great presentation, lousy intro music, but he's been an avid follower and poster here for a long time.

Never underestimate the power of human stupidity.

We have a plan. But plans don't always conform to reality on the ground. At any moment a Black Swan player could upset things and we could see a dangerous escalation. This is a chaotic situation where a lot of people are panicking and activating contingencies. No one really knows what's going to happen. All you can do is ride the probabilities and be prepared to improvise when necessary.

15% is low, but it's still there.

Note he mentioned Iran and China in the same tweet.

We just made it clear that anyone doing business with Iran would not be doing business with the US.

China just said it will continue doing business with Iran.

Reconcile.

I don't disagree with your analysis, but I think that there are too many delicate situations vulnerable to FF and direct action to be complacent. SC Sea, Korea, India, Yemen, Turkey, East Africa all are potential flash points. Syria is a shitshow. Israel is always a wild card.

Don't ignore the possibility.

Scenario proposal: China continues to insist on ignoring US sanctions against Iran. POTUS increases sanctions including restrictions of US markets. China tries to retaliate. POTUS doubles down, declares that US treasury will not honor payouts to any entity under sanction.

Including the massive amount of US Treasuries the PRC owns as part of its foreign reserves. That's a LOT of US debt.

Discuss.

The invitation itself may be his safe-passage. Not a LawFag, but I believe there are special provisions covering protections for Congressional witnesses.
