🧬 Scientists grew living human skin on a robot
A robotic finger just got something incredibly human — living skin.
Researchers at the University of Tokyo grew skin from human cells directly on a working robotic finger. The cells formed layers similar to real human skin, including a dermis and an outer epidermis.
As the robot moved, the skin stretched and bent with it. Even more fascinating, it developed natural-looking wrinkles around the joints.
Then came the real surprise. Researchers made a small cut in the artificial skin, and with the help of a collagen bandage, the living cells gradually repaired the wound in about a week.
The technology still has a major challenge: the living skin must stay moist to keep the cells alive.
But this could be an early step toward robots with more realistic skin, smarter prosthetics, and machines that interact with humans in surprisingly lifelike ways.
The future of robotics may not just be made of metal. It may be partly alive.

A horrifying family tragedy unfolded in Central Florida after authorities say a father stabbed his 17-year-old twins to death before taking his own life.
Ivan Montiel Roa, 63, is believed to have murdered his teenage children, Carlo Montiel Infantino and Melanie Montiel Infantino, inside the family’s Orlando-area residence before dying by suicide, according to FOX 35 Orlando.
Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 1200 block of Courtney Chase Circle on Wednesday, September 30, for a well-being check.
When deputies entered the residence, they discovered Carlo and Melanie dead in the living room. Both teenagers had suffered multiple stab wounds, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

🚨 A one-minute vision correction could be on the horizon
Scientists are exploring a striking new way to reshape the eye without a laser, cutting, or removing tissue.
The technique, called electromechanical reshaping (EMR), uses a tiny electrical current and a specially shaped platinum lens. The current temporarily changes the chemistry of the cornea, making its collagen structure easier to reshape. The lens then moulds the cornea into a new form.
In early tests using 12 isolated rabbit eyeballs, researchers successfully achieved the intended focusing correction in all 10 eyes treated for simulated nearsightedness.
Unlike LASIK, EMR does not require an incision or tissue removal—and researchers say the process could potentially be simpler and even reversible.
But there is a major catch: this has not been tested in living humans. More animal research is needed before human clinical trials can even begin.
A cut-free, one-minute vision correction sounds futuristic. For now, it remains an intriguing early-stage possibility.
