Black Sea Explodes; Russia Strikes Weapons Shipment For Ukraine; Odesa Port Damaged

Russia has launched another wave of strikes across Ukraine, targeting ports, cargo vessels, fuel facilities, energy infrastructure and logistics sites, according to Russian and Ukrainian officials. Moscow says its forces struck two Ukrainian cargo vessels in the Black Sea that were allegedly carrying military supplies, while fuel storage facilities at the strategic port of Chornomorsk were also hit. Russian strikes were also reported in the Odesa and Kharkiv regions, with Ukrainian authorities reporting casualties in Kharkiv. Moscow further claimed attacks on logistics and data infrastructure in the Odesa region. The latest strikes highlight the growing focus on Ukraine’s ports, supply routes and infrastructure as the war continues across multiple fronts.

Gunmen Attack Christian Town In Syria, Wounding Woman & Smashing Shops

Gunmen on motorcycles attacked the Christian town of Suqaylabiyah in the Hama countryside in Syria on Saturday, smashing shops and opening fire on residents, the Syrian Justice Archive (SJA) reported.

Armed men coming from the nearby Sunni town of Qalaat al-Madiq attacked Christian-owned shops and opened fire on residents with Kalashnikov rifles, wounding a woman on Al-Mashwar Road.

The Syrian government's General Security forces reportedly allowed the armed men to pass through their checkpoints to enter Suqaylabiyah and did not intervene to stop the violence.

Instead, they launched an arrest campaign against local men who gathered to defend the town with sticks and knives. They arrested two local Christian men, Shadi Nassab and Amjad Lyous.

Meanwhile, Al-Ghab District Director Mohammad al-Attal told SANA that Internal Security Forces responded to the scene, brought the situation under control, and restored calm to the city.

Father Fadi Sankari of Saints Peter and Paul Church in Suqaylabiyah issued a statement on Facebook condemning the attacks and calling on residents to defend one another. "My dear children, what is happening in our parish today is unacceptable and condemned, and no one has the right to enter your homes or threaten your security and dignity," Sankari wrote.

"We don't want chaos, and we don't want revenge, but we also won't accept that our people live in fear, or that the tragedy of destruction we've known before repeats itself," he added.

He called on Syrian authorities to protect the town. "Your responsibility is to protect people, not to stand by watching fear and assault; and loose weapons cannot be a substitute for the rule of law."

Dozens of gunmen carried out a similar attack on Suqaylabiyah in March after an altercation broke out between local young men and young men from Qalaat al-Madiq. The fighting began after the young men from Qalaat al-Madiq began harassing two local women, causing the local young men to intervene.

President Trump sounded the alarm on the cheating in Arizona’s elections on Monday, slamming Maricopa County elections as “crooked” and “very, very dishonest” after the election vendors sent out thousands of ballots by mistake.

A similar issue occurred in 2022, when over 60,000 ballots with incorrect races were sent to voters by mistake ahead of the August primary elections.

Maricopa County announced on Sunday that over 3,000 ballots were mistakenly sent to voters by its ballot printing vendor, Runbeck Election Services, nearly a week before early voting is set to begin in the Grand Canyon State.

Runbeck has a history of errors and is believed to be behind the wrongdoings of the 2020 and 2022 elections in Arizona. Even in 2024, when Trump won in Arizona, Runbeck was accused of election security violations, including commingling blank ballots with voted ballots.

Children Wounded as Israeli Military Continues Bombing Tent Camps in Gaza

At least one Palestinian was killed by an Israeli strike on al-Mawasi, southern Gaza

At least one Palestinian was killed, and several others were wounded on Monday in Israeli attacks targeting al-Mawasi in southern Gaza, an area filled with sprawling tent encampments housing Palestinian families displaced by Israel’s genocidal war.

The Anadolu Agency reported that an Israeli strike in al-Mawasi killed one Palestinian man and wounded four people, including a mother and her two children. Later in the day, the Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that an Israeli drone targeted a tent in the Algerian Camp within al-Mawasi, injuring three people, including a woman and a child.

Anadolu also reported attacks in northwestern Gaza, including naval fire that hit a woman in the head. A child was also reportedly shot in the chest by Israeli forces in the area.

Gaza’s Health Ministry said in its daily update on Monday, released about midday Gaza time, that Israeli forces killed at least three Palestinians and wounded 26 over the previous 24-hour period. Two other Palestinians died of wounds sustained in previous attacks, and one body was recovered from the rubble.

Since the so-called ceasefire deal was signed nearly one year ago in October 2025, the IDF has killed 1,460 Palestinians and wounded 5,116. Gaza’s Government Media Office has said that it has recorded more than 5,000 Israeli ceasefire violations.

The US continues to back Israel’s attacks in Gaza despite President Trump and the so-called Board of Peace recently announcing that Hamas had agreed to a US-proposed disarmament deal.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected the potential agreement, and other senior Israeli ministers continue to make clear that their ultimate goal for Gaza is the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian population.
