Ohr's and Stephen Schmidt (owns several VA repeaters) ham licenses are Technician class so their allowed frequencies are mostly VHF/UHF with some HF morse code sub-bands.
So 99% likely that they were communicating VHF/UHF with slim chance ground-wave voice on 10M. IMO.
