Sean Hannity Reveals He Was ‘Pressured’ to Push COVID Vaccine on His Audience
Sean James Oct 6th, 2026
Fox News anchor Sean Hannity said he was “pressured” to push Covid-19 vaccines on his viewers, even though he was uncomfortable doing so.
The cable news star vented about how he was compelled to peddle vaccines during the Tuesday episode of his Hang Outpodcast, where Hannity and Dr. Drew Pinsky talked about the pandemic — and their issues with how it was handled.
“I was being pressured — pressured — to tell my audience to take the jab,” Hannity said. “And I’m like, ‘I’m not a doctor. I’m just not. I don’t know anything about your health, I don’t know anything about your preexisting conditions, your current condition, comorbidities you may have, and I don’t know anything about this shot.'”
Hannity continued, “But I kept putting people with different views on, and I said, ‘Take it seriously, consult your doctor, make your own mind up.”
Pinsky backed him up, saying it was the “right thing” to do. The doc made it clear he also felt the government went too far in forcing the vaccines on the American public.
“The mandates came along, you couldn’t move in the world without getting the shot, and that’s the egregious part,” Pinsky said.
Hannity did not reveal who pressured him to talk about the vaccines. He also did not mention when it exactly happened.
But he is not the first public figure to claim they were prodded into talking about Covid-19 in a specific way; Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg notably claimed in 2024 senior officials in President Joe Biden’s administration “pressured” Facebook and Instagram “to censor certain Covid-19 content, including humor and satire.”
In 2021, The Guardian reported on Hannity talking about the virus and the vaccine on his show:
“Just like we’ve been saying,” [Hannity] said, “please take Covid seriously. I can’t say it enough. Enough people have died. We don’t need any more deaths.
“Research like crazy, talk to your doctor, your doctors, medical professionals you trust based on your unique medical history, your current medical condition, and you and your doctor make a very important decision for your own safety. Take it seriously.
“You also have a right to medical privacy, doctor-patient confidentiality is also important.
“And it absolutely makes sense for many Americans to get vaccinated. I believe in science, I believe in the science of vaccination.”
On Tuesday, Hannity said he was upset with people who claimed if you “take the jab and you won’t get Covid” or “impact others.” He said that has all been shown to be total “bullsh*t,” which Pinsky agreed with. And to make matters worse, Hannity said, the recent release of Dr. Anthony Fauci’s Covid diary proves the American medical establishment knew those claims were bogus years ago.
Pinsky claimed it was “unbelievable” that some pregnant women and young kids are still opting to get the vaccine, saying it does not make much sense from a risk-reward standpoint.
Experts have declared such vaccines safe for the general public, including pregnant women.
