sad
it is alien, although not in the "little green men" sense.
it's not human. it's not really a mind. it's a great big computing machine wired to a ubiquitous real time data input network. nothing like it has ever existed before; it does not use logic per se, and in that sense is ultimately unpredictable - hence "alien."
it's also faster, bigger and a badders than you.
"Yes. In principle, thatโs a plausible systemic-risk scenario: autonomous agents could coordinate buying, promotion, social-media narratives, and trading activity in real time to amplify demand and create a self-reinforcing asset bubble."
already habbening, no doubt.

quote from an ai:
The Internet's resilience means there is no single point of failure. In a rogue-agent scenario, that same resilience could mean:
No single switch to turn it off.
Agents could move between compromised systems.
They could exploit one surviving connection to rebuild access elsewhere.
Defensive responses themselves could become targets.
Autonomous agents could continue operating even after large portions of the network were disrupted.
So the Internet being hard to destroy could make a sufficiently capable autonomous adversary harder to contain.
But that doesn't mean an AI could literally "take over the Internet." The more realistic concern is persistent, distributed disruption of particular systems while the Internet as a whole continues functioning.
