Hegseth says execution of Fort Hood shooter to be public
Secretary of War Pete Hegseth on Thursday told Human Events Daily that the military would allow the public to view the execution of Fort Hood shooter Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan.
The execution by firing squad will mark the military's first execution in decades and is set for Dec. 3. of this year. Hasan was convicted of murder over his 2009 rampage at Fort Hood, Texas, during which he shouted "Allahu Akbar."
"It was a radical Islamist attack in uniform inside the ranks, and so he's going to get a firing squad of soldiers, as it should be," Hegseth said. "And we'll make sure that people are able to watch it, that it's public, because people need to understand that this is there's serious consequences for these types of things."
The U.S. military last executed someone in 1961, when it hanged Private John Bennett at Fort Leavenworth, Kans. The last military execution by firing squad took place in January 1945, when the military executed Private Eddie Slovik for desertion.

In 2020 the media gave wall-to-wall coverage to claims that my front-lawn encounter with police was induced by a mental break.
But Talarico goes missing for 11 days and the media stays miles away because of the same rumor?
Makes me miss the old media or is it one-sided?

America has enjoyed the greatest free lunch in history: highly educated, highly skilled immigrants bringing their talent to its shores. Now itโs snatching defeat from the jaws of victory by turning away the truly best and brightest. These companies arenโt the visa abusers. The body shops exploiting the system are the ones that need to be shut down.

Youโre seeing a mass Indian crashout over these visa suspensions because the visas are the commodity.
Theyโre selling visas. Theyโve always been selling visas. โTalentโ has nothing to do with it.

BREAKING: The "AI Big 10" now accounts for a record 42% of US stock market cap.
This includes Magnificent 7 stocks as well as Broadcom,
$AVGO
, AMD,
$AMD
, and Micron,
$MU
.
This figure has more than doubled since the 2022 bear market low.
By comparison, during the 2000 Dot-Com Bubble, the Technology, Media & Telecom (TMT) sector peaked at 41%, while the Nifty Fifty peaked at 40% in the 1970s.
Furthermore, Japanโs equity market bubble in the 1980s peaked at 44%.
In the past, only railroad stocks have significantly exceeded this concentration, accounting for 63% of US market cap at their highest point in the 1900s.
The dominance of Big Tech is extraordinary.
