I am grateful to the U.S. congressional delegation –

@SenatorWicker

,

@SenKevinCramer

,

@RepVeasey

, and

@RepDanCrenshaw

– for being here with our people today amid virtually nonstop Russian attacks. Russia is not getting what it wants on the battlefield and is trying to make up for it through escalation. Throughout our entire meeting in Kyiv, the air raid alert remained in effect because of the threat of jet-powered “shaheds”. In the capital alone, and since the beginning of this month alone, the Russians have damaged two schools with these drones and struck bridges, energy, and other critical infrastructure.

We can only protect ourselves from this terror by working together, and we discussed how the United States can help save lives. Of course, we expect the Lindsey Graham Act to be implemented. This is a matter of political will, and it is now important to show leadership and fully cut off the financial flows sustaining Russia’s war machine. We also discussed other necessary steps, including expediting licensing for Patriot missile production. Ukraine is ready not only to produce ballistic missile interceptors for its own needs, but also to strengthen the United States and its allies through joint production.

I thank the United States for its unwavering support.

Three people have been killed and 36 others injured in attacks on two international airports in Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) confirmed that Abha International Airport and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh were targeted in separate attacks on October 6 and 7.

At Abha International Airport, in the south of the kingdom, two women of Moroccan and Algerian nationality were killed, while 28 others sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious.

Those injured included Saudi citizens and residents from Bangladesh and the Philippines.

In Riyadh, a Sudanese resident was killed in an attack on King Khalid International Airport, with eight others injured, including five Saudi citizens, two Egyptian residents and a Pakistani national.

All those injured were taken to hospital for medical treatment, while both attacks caused damage to airport facilities.

GACA said emergency response teams had been deployed immediately following the incidents, with authorities assessing the extent of the damage and the safety of airport infrastructure.

The authority said it was working with relevant agencies to “assess the damage, verify the safety of the facilities” and take measures to protect passengers and civil aviation operations across the kingdom.

This official said the Director’s Advisory Team is currently building a criminal case that seeks to charge former top government officials with a “grand conspiracy” against President Donald Trump. That particular investigation aims to indict former CIA Director John Brennan in the coming weeks, likely in South Florida, according to two other officials with knowledge of the matter.

The Director’s Advisory Team includes former FBI agent John Eckenrode, who previously worked on the special counsel investigation led by the prosecutor John Durham that examined the origins of the FBI investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. election. According to a source with knowledge of the Brennan probe, Eckenrode and others on the Director’s Advisory Team in recent weeks have discussed the progress of the investigation with federal prosecutors in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Florida and Joseph diGenova, the newly appointed Trump loyalist who was sworn in as a “special counselor to the attorney general” to lead the effort.
