COMPLETE INTERVIEW AVAILABLE IN 9 HOURS

The first interview after four years in prison: Henry XIII. Prince Reuss

He is said to have planned a coup, led a terrorist organization and prepared the violent overthrow of the Federal Republic. Henry XIII Prince Reuss is considered the head of the so-called Reich Citizen Conspiracy. He has been in custody since his arrest in December 2022. There is no judgment yet.

Now Prince Reuss is speaking in detail for the first time about the allegations against him. In an exclusive interview with Roland Tichy from the prison, he describes his arrest, everyday life behind bars and his view of one of the most complex state security trials in German post-war history.

It's about questions that go far beyond his person: How specific were the alleged plans for a coup? What role did the alleged weapons finds and the alleged preparations for a storm on the Bundestag play? And how dangerous was the group actually? Was there even one?

Prince Reuss denies having planned a coup. Instead, he describes a web of conspiracy stories, dubious profiteers and former soldiers. He admits that he himself provided 50,000 euros for the alleged liberation of abused children from underground facilities. Today he sees himself as a victim of fraud.

But Roland Tichy asks: Why did a successful entrepreneur believe in a mysterious “Earth Alliance” that was supposedly connected to extraterrestrial powers? What responsibility does Reuss have for the people who gathered in his house? And why should he of all people be at the head of a new German government?

The conversation also leads to a personal question: What does years of pre-trial detention do to a person who is only allowed to see his family under strict conditions and does not know whether he will ever live in freedom again?
