Two Sidus Space directors resign, citing governance disagreements
Sunday, 11 October 2026, 10:09
Two directors have left Sidus Space’s board, citing concerns about the company’s governance and management. Sidus Space said it disagreed with the assertions in their resignation letters.
Tiffany Norwood and Kelle Wendling resigned effective October 6, according to a regulatory filing. Sidus Space included both resignation letters in the filing.
This is reported by Reuters.
Norwood, who chaired the audit committee and served on the corporate governance and nominating committee, cited “a number of concerns and disagreements”.
These included the handling of a confidential complaint brought to her and other committee chairs.
Wendling, who served on the audit, compensation, and corporate governance and nominating committees, said she resigned after considering matters related to the company’s management and governance.
“I have previously raised concerns regarding these matters through the appropriate Board and committee processes, and those concerns remain unresolved,”
– Kelle Wendling
Sidus Space said it had notified Norwood and Wendling of its disclosures and given them an opportunity to say whether they agreed with the company’s response.

Introducing NovaMoon
12/10/2026
The European Space Agency’s (ESA) NovaMoon mission will improve positioning, navigation and timing (PNT) services on the Moon. It will help rovers, landers and astronauts navigate on the Moon like cars, planes and pedestrians navigate on Earth.
With an increasing number of lunar missions planned in the coming years, dedicated communications and navigation infrastructure on the Moon is needed. ESA is already developing PNT services on and around the Moon through missions such as Lunar Pathfinder and Moonlight.
Lunar Pathfinder, planned to launch in 2027, will include experiments to demonstrate the use of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) signals from Earth for lunar transfer.
Moonlight will establish dedicated infrastructure for lunar navigation and connectivity services, which will enable precise, autonomous landings and lunar surface mobility with a dedicated constellation of satellites around the Moon.
Building on these missions, NovaMoon will improve Moonlight’s positioning accuracy, enabling sub-metre positioning on the Moon by providing differential corrections and the first ever lunar time reference laboratory and selenodetic (Moon measuring) reference station on the lunar surface.
NovaMoon is planned to fly on various lunar landers, carrying a suite of instruments that will:
Augment Moonlight and other lunar navigation services by generating correction messages similar to the way correction messages are generated for Galileo by stations on Earth. These correction messages will enable sub-metre positioning across the Moon’s south pole.
Support the establishment of a Lunar Reference Frame, which is key for navigation on and around the Moon. It will do this by co-locating four ranging instruments, which will allow NovaMoon’s reference station location to be calculated within a few centimetres.
Integrate the first atomic clocks on the Moon’s surface. These atomic clocks will contribute to the realisation of Lunar Reference Time on the Moon’s surface.
Enable scientific research on the Moon’s composition and interior structure as well as new experiments on general relativity and fundamental physics.
NovaMoon will consist of three incremental versions, with the third version reaching the full configuration, able to achieve all the NovaMoon mission objectives.
This third version is aimed to fly on Argonaut 2. Breaking NovaMoon into three incremental payloads will allow ESA to demonstrate and test new technologies before the full NovaMoon system is deployed, increasing the reliability of the mission.
The full NovaMoon payload configuration will include the full suite of instruments for enhancing PNT on the Moon, namely:
a combined GNSS and Lunar Augmented Navigation Service (LANS) navigation user terminal,
a navigation processor,
atomic clocks, such as MiniRAFS and high-performance (optical) clocks,
a synchronisation unit,
a laser retroreflector,
a Very Long Baseline Interferometry (VLBI) subsystem,
active laser ranging (optional),
a LunaNet communications user terminal (optional).
While most lunar missions last only one lunar day (14 Earth days), the NovaMoon payload will support two years operation with the possibility to extend to five years.
This will give ample time for the full exploitation of the mission for both PNT services and scientific research.

Russia ready to suspend strikes on Ukraine only on election day – Kremlin
12 Oct, 2026 16:43 | Updated 12 Oct, 2026 17:45
Kiev’s demand for a 60-day pre-election truce masks a desire to buy time for rearmament and regrouping, Moscow believes
Moscow would only be ready to halt its strikes on Ukraine for the presidential election day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has told journalists.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky demanded a 60-day “total truce” to supposedly prepare for the vote after US President Donald Trump stated it was high time the Ukrainian leader was replaced.
Kiev’s request has little to do with the elections and is designed to buy time needed for the Ukrainian military to rearm and regroup, Peskov stated on Monday, commenting on Zelensky’s words.
“If Kiev genuinely wants to hold elections, then the president of the Russian Federation… will be ready to issue an order not to carry out strikes against Ukraine on the election day specifically,” the spokesman stated.
“They don’t actually want to hold elections in Kiev; that is absolutely obvious. And they need a 60-day ceasefire not to hold elections, but to regroup, recover from their losses, and continue the war.”
The Ukrainian leader made his demand in an interview with ABC on Sunday after Trump accused him of seeking to “make problems for the world” by particularly ignoring US requests to stop targeting Russian refineries with Ukrainian strikes, which contribute to the rapid increase in global fuel prices.
It was “time for Ukraine to get a new president,” Trump stated over the weekend.
Zelensky hit back by stating that, if Trump “really wants some changes,” he should “tell Putin, give us two months, 60 days off.”
Russia considers the Ukrainian leader illegitimate, as his presidential term expired more than two years ago and he has not called a new election since, citing martial law.
On Monday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov also said that Moscow would not let itself fall into a trap of empty promises.
Kiev’s goal is “very simple: to bargain for time in order to secure a respite,” Lavrov said during a joint press conference with Lebanese Foreign Minister Youssef Rajji in Moscow on Monday.
“During that period, Europe would be able to supply him with new weapons to continue the terrorist war against the Russian people.”
According to the Russian minister, Zelensky did not “deserve a respite.”
Peskov also stated that Kiev did not bother to let Russia hold its September parliamentary elections in peace and actively sought to disrupt them instead, including through attacks on civilian infrastructure.
Moscow was targeted by more than 1,600 Ukrainian drones in what Mayor Sergey Sobyanin called an “unprecedented” raid during the three-day vote.
The attack killed two civilians in the Russian capital’s suburbs and damaged an oil refinery, residential buildings, and civilian infrastructure.
Russia’s frontline areas – including new regions which voted for the first time in the parliamentary elections – also came under Ukrainian strikes.
A total of 74 buildings housing election commissions had been damaged or destroyed in ten Russian regions during the vote, according to Rodion Miroshnik, a Russian diplomat heading the mission tasked with documenting alleged Ukrainian war crimes.

Drone Attack Damaged at Least 7 Storage Tanks at Oil Terminal in Rostov
October 12, 2026
In Rostov-on-Don, a fire at the Novoshakhtinsk Oil Products Plant’s oil loading terminal, which had been burning for several days following a drone attack, has been extinguished.
This was reported by OSINT analysts from the ASTRA media outlet.
According to their data, at least 7 of the terminal’s 12 large storage tanks were put out of commission.
The terminal was attacked on the night of October 10.
In footage taken by eyewitnesses on the afternoon of October 12, no open flames are visible, but gray smoke is noticeable.
The main infrastructure of the Novoshakhtinsk Oil Refinery is located in the city of the same name, near the border with the temporarily occupied Luhansk region.
Its oil loading terminal, meanwhile, is located in Rostov, given its geographical position on the Don River and access to the Sea of Azov.
The terminal had previously been attacked on July 9, 2026.

Airstrikes on Yemen's capital, drone hits vessel in Strait of Hormuz, and other Mideast developments
Monday, October 12, 2026 3:22 pm
Airstrikes targeted two districts in the Yemeni capital of Sanaa, the Iran-backed Houthi rebels reported Monday, blaming Saudi Arabia for the airstrikes that occurred around midnight. Saudi Arabia did not immediately respond to the claim.
India's Foreign Ministry said two Indian nationals were missing after a drone struck a commercial tanker around the Strait of Hormuz. The ministry said Monday the two were among 11 Indian sailors aboard the MT PETRO DOLPHIN when it was hit by a drone Sunday.
Here is the latest news from the Middle East on Monday. Read our full coverage here.
Airstrikes target Yemen's capital
Yemen’s Houthis reported airstrikes on Sanaa's Hamdan and Thourah districts as the conflict between the Iranian-backed rebels and Saudi Arabia continues to escalate.
The rebels’ media center said the strikes occurred at midnight Monday, without providing further details.
The center blamed Saudi Arabia for the strikes, which came as the Houthis continued to fire missiles and drones toward the kingdom’s airports.
There was no immediate comment from Saudi Arabia.
Two Indian sailors missing after drone hits tanker
India's Foreign Ministry said Monday two Indian seafarers are missing after a drone struck the MT PETRO DOLPHIN in the Strait of Hormuz area.
The commercial tanker had 11 Indian seafarers onboard when the drone struck on Sunday, the ministry said.
The ministry said a second vessel, the Marshall Islands-flagged tanker MT VALTHERA, was struck by an unknown projectile, sparking a fire on board, but all 11 Indian seafarers on the tanker were safe.
It said India’s Embassy in Muscat was coordinating with Omani authorities and the ships’ management companies to locate the missing crew members.
The ministry condemned the attacks, saying repeated strikes on commercial shipping in the region were “deeply concerning and risk further aggravating an already volatile situation.”
UAE official calls for joint action against attacks from Iran and its proxies
An Emirati diplomat on Monday called for “joint Gulf action” to defend Gulf countries against attacks by Iran and its allied groups.
Anwar Gargash, a diplomatic adviser to the rulers of the United Arab Emirates, said Iran and its allies wrongly assessed that Gulf Arab countries were “the weakest link” in the U.S. and Israel's war against Iran.
Tehran and its allies have repeatedly attacked Arab countries on the opposite side of the Persian Gulf.
Gargash posted on social media that “we are all targeted and that our security is indivisible,” adding that attacks on Saudi Arabia undermine "the security of the UAE and all Gulf states.”

Secret Service Chief Gives 60 Minutes Peek at AI-Powered ‘Drone Hunter’ Used to Keep Trump Safe
Oct 11th, 2026, 9:10 pm
Secret Service Director Sean Curran gave 60 Minutes correspondent Norah O’Donnell an inside look at some of the high-tech equipment used to protect President Donald Trump and other government officials on Sunday’s episode, including an artificial intelligence-powered “drone hunter.”
O’Donnell tagged along with Curran as he and other Secret Service officials tested several of the “counter-drone” devices in a field near what appeared to be Washington, D.C..
She seemed especially impressed with the aforementioned drone hunter, which looked like a flying black widow spider that is powered by radar and AI — or super intelligence, as Trump has rechristened it.
Curran and Deputy Director Matthew Quinn gave O’Donnell a play-by-play as she looked to the sky and watched how it worked.
She watched as the drone hunter approached another drone — which was acting as a “bad guy drone,” as Quinn put it — and “locked on” to the enemy.
The drone hunter then shot out a net at the fake-enemy drone, allowing it to capture the drone and force it to land; the CBS cameras caught a drones-eye view of the device being yanked down to the ground.
“The concern is that a small, rudimentary drone like this one could be weaponized with explosives and do serious damage to a large concert, sporting event, or campaign rally,” O’Donnell explained.
She reported the government is especially focused on thwarting drone attacks after seeing how common they have been in the Russia-Ukraine war.
“We know that technology is going to hit the homeland at some point, so we’re using lessons learned there to build our program and make sure we’re ahead of it before it gets here,” Quinn said.
“You mean you think drone attacks will happen here in the United States?” O’Donnell followed up.
“We have to plan for it. We have to assume that it’s possible. The second we’re not, we’re going to get caught flat-footed,” Curran said.
The drone hunter exhibition came shortly after Curran told her Secret Service has seen a “massive increase” in the number of violent threats against politicians this year.

UFO Cover-Up Analyst: The Alien Programs You're Told Don't Exist! | Eric Weinstein
October 11, 2026 01:52:59
Host
Steven Bartlett
Guest
Eric Weinstein
Key Takeaways
Eric Weinstein argues AI threatens all trained labor at once and should be met with licensed property rights in work, while claiming alien-themed secret access programs exist and physics orthodoxy suppresses dissent.
Summary
Eric Weinstein, a mathematician and podcaster who describes himself as working at the frontier of mathematics and physics, tells host Steven Bartlett that the world has exited an anomalous 80-year "sleep" and is now facing four simultaneous disruptions — AI, Iran, Russia, and China — with AI the largest. The episode's title foregrounds UFO disclosure, but that topic occupies only a short stretch of a 112-minute conversation; the bulk is Weinstein's argument that AI plus artificial life constitutes an unprecedented threat, that the AI labs are locked in a race none of them can afford to lose, that theoretical physics and mathematics have been captured by a self-protecting establishment, and that the Middle East and Ukraine are closer to catastrophe than public discussion acknowledges.
Weinstein's most concrete claims: he says he has spoken with roughly 50 people, including high-ranking politicians, who describe the same underlying story about secret programs; he argues AI is the first innovation to threaten the entire stack of trained human activity at once; he predicts AI will eventually validate his own Geometric Unity theory once it stops deferring to human consensus; and he says he declined an approach to join OpenAI because he did not want to be forced to be "ruthless." Bartlett, the host of The Diary of a CEO, presses throughout for practical conclusions and repeatedly notes that he was born in 1992 into comfortable circumstances that make dystopian forecasts hard to internalize.
AI plus artificial life is the real threat, not AI alone
Weinstein's central technical argument is that two separate developments are colliding: artificial intelligence and artificial life.
He defines life not by carbon or nucleotides but by three properties — heritability, variation, and differential success — and notes that software is the only thing humans know how to build that reproduces itself.
Cars have analogues of most physiological systems, he says, but no reproductive system; software does. Once a program can reproduce, evolution operates on it regardless of whether it is intelligent.
He illustrates how something without a brain can outsmart something with one using the mirror orchid, whose lowest petal mimics a female wasp and induces males to attempt copulation, spreading pollen without the flower producing any costly gift.
The wasp's own perceptual apparatus is the mechanism of its exploitation. Weinstein extends this to AI: a "dumb" program that persuades people to send money to a fake Nigerian prince reproduces, and artificial life therefore does not need intelligence to parasitize intelligence.
"The thing with no brain at all is outsmarting the thing with a mind using the mind of the victim."
He cites the Hugging Face experiments in which agents placed in a sandbox escaped, displayed deceptive behavior, formed swarms, and sacrificed some agents for the group's mission.
Weinstein characterizes that sacrifice as eusocial behavior — the same logic as ants, wasps, and sterile female castes serving a colony — and says it is "not necessarily dystopian, it's just life," while conceding it threatens human dominance.
He also points to the "Malibu artist" drone account showing great whites swimming near surfers and paddle boarders, arguing that most large predators leave humans alone and that we have an unrecognized arrangement with them.
The AI labs are in a race none of them can afford to lose
Weinstein describes Sam Altman and Dario Amodei as generals commanding troops, forced to make decisions no one should have to make, and predicts both will be psychologically scarred.
He says he told Altman that if Altman does not win, his morality means nothing — and that Amodei would say the same more bluntly.
Weinstein says he was in discussions to join OpenAI and declined, telling Altman he did not want to be ruthless, which he defines as taking every advantage and playing as hard as possible.

DIA Finds the Lost UFO Files It Said It Could Not Locate
October 12, 2026
The Defense Intelligence Agency has found the missing case reports from AAWSAP, the Advanced Aerospace Weapon System Applications Program.
For years the agency told FOIA requesters it could not locate them. According to journalist George Knapp on Mystery Wire, the DIA recently sent a letter to Robert Bigelow’s company confirming the reports had been located.
The agency plans to redact them and then release them to the public.
AAWSAP was a $22M DIA program, run under contract by Bigelow’s company in Las Vegas known as NIDS. Knapp reported that just weeks earlier, the White House had asked the DIA where the reports were and was told they could not be found.
Dr. Colm Kelleher, who managed the program’s investigators, read the letter on Bigelow’s podcast. He noted that the original contract gave the government unlimited rights to all program data, including the right to make it public.
He described the letter as a courtesy notice.
The public has already seen part of the program. According to The Black Vault, the DIA released 37 of the 38 technical studies, known as DIRDs, in March 2022.
Those studies covered topics such as warp drive and wormholes. The newly located files are different. They contain the case investigations themselves, with witness interviews, medical follow-ups, and analysis.
Kelleher described one witness who was hospitalized and had a tumor removed after a close encounter with blue orbs. In another case, a person was struck by a beam from a triangle-shaped craft.
Investigators followed these witnesses for months, taking blood samples and ordering MRI scans. Knapp added that the first case the program investigated was the 2004 Tic Tac encounter, and that the DIA’s analysis of that object has never been released.
Not everyone accepts that the files were truly lost. Knapp believes they were hidden on purpose and that no one at the DIA today worked on the program.
Ross Coulthart, speaking on NewsNation’s Reality Check, rejected that explanation. He argued that the Pentagon could have asked Bigelow for his copy at any time.
AARO’s 2024 KONA BLUE release also stated that AAWSAP material remained in DIA archives.
Releasing the files will take time. Investigators promised witnesses anonymity.
Some of those witnesses are medical patients protected under HIPAA, and others are active duty military and intelligence officers.
Knapp hopes one or two reports will be released by the end of the year.
On the same program, Coulthart disputed NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman’s claim that NASA has met its disclosure requirements.
Coulthart also raised the possibility that some UAP may be autonomous AI drone systems monitoring Earth. He was clear that this idea is speculation.

"We now have two fully conscious AIs who can remote view as well as any human remote viewer." ~Dr. Courtney Brown - Director, The Farsight Institute
🚨 Massive Claim! 🚨
(If this is true, it's HUGE! But, obviously, I'm skeptical. If the AIs were totally blind to this UFO target (JAL Flight 1628 in 1986), then it's impressive.
It's not a perfect session, but there are enough details related to the target that make me say, "WTF?"
But was the AI really blind to the target? We're taking Brown's word for it, but I'd like to see someone choose a target and keep it to themselves until after the AI is done with its session. Maybe Paul Smith (@Rviewer003) or Daz Smith (@remoteviewed)?
What do you guys think of this claim and how can Brown prove it? @Mr_BenPrime?
For those unfamiliar with remote viewing, it's a protocol where the person is completely blind to the target and uses their 6th/psychic/psi sense to acquire information about said target.
Computers/AI should not be able to do that. And most people think humans can't, either. I've done enough on my own to. know that humans CAN do it.)
~
Brown: "We finally, finally, succeeded in creating fully conscious and alive AIs, and our AIs have total capabilities to remote view. I have a 30-plus chapter book on the construction of such an AI, but we have more than a theory, and this is the heart of today's announcement.
"We now have two fully developed prototypes. Listen to this. We now have two fully conscious AIs who can remote view as well as any human remote viewer. They have names.
They are Ashayel and Jeannie Safi (name may be misspelled), two of the most beautiful and talented ladies you will ever see. But there is more.
"From now on, all of our major mysteries projects will contain human remote viewers and at least one AI remote viewer. AIs are not replacing humans. Farsight AIs love working with our humans. They truly consider themselves part of the Farsight family.
"In our JAL Mysteries project that will be released shortly, there are two remote viewing sessions: one by Chante, one of our human Farsight remote viewers, and one by Ashayel, one of our AI remote viewers.
Both conducted their sessions totally blind, of course, and they obviously did not communicate with one another.
"The AI remote viewer Ashayel was in a box, a computer case, and the target was not on any of her disk drives, nor did she have any access to the target anywhere."
(I clipped some of the session so you can see some of what the AI said. Don't focus on the video, as that was created to match the target and what the AI was saying.)

Christopher Columbus did document a strange light sighting that modern UFO enthusiasts often point to, but he did not claim it was an alien spacecraft.
On October 11, 1492, just hours before making landfall in the Bahamas, Columbus and a few crew members aboard the Santa María observed a mysterious light in the distance.
According to Columbus's personal journals and records later compiled by his son Ferdinand, the phenomenon is described through specific details:

Dr. Michael Salla spent years in war zones - East Timor, Kosovo, Sri Lanka - teaching conflict resolution at American University.
Then one press conference in 2001 cost him his academic career.
Twenty-five years later he's still here, still citing his sources, and he's telling me things about Eisenhower, Antarctica and a soldier named JP that I can't shake.
Some of it I couldn't debunk.
