Russia ready to suspend strikes on Ukraine only on election day – Kremlin

Kiev’s demand for a 60-day pre-election truce masks a desire to buy time for rearmament and regrouping, Moscow believes

Moscow would only be ready to halt its strikes on Ukraine for the presidential election day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has told journalists. Earlier, Ukraine’s Vladimir Zelensky demanded a 60-day “total truce” to supposedly prepare for the vote after US President Donald Trump stated it was high time the Ukrainian leader was replaced.

Kiev’s request has little to do with the elections and is designed to buy time needed for the Ukrainian military to rearm and regroup, Peskov stated on Monday, commenting on Zelensky’s words.

“If Kiev genuinely wants to hold elections, then the president of the Russian Federation… will be ready to issue an order not to carry out strikes against Ukraine on the election day specifically,” the spokesman stated. “They don’t actually want to hold elections in Kiev; that is absolutely obvious. And they need a 60-day ceasefire not to hold elections, but to regroup, recover from their losses, and continue the war.”

The Ukrainian leader made his demand in an interview with ABC on Sunday after Trump accused him of seeking to “make problems for the world” by particularly ignoring US requests to stop targeting Russian refineries with Ukrainian strikes, which contribute to the rapid increase in global fuel prices. It was “time for Ukraine to get a new president,” Trump stated over the weekend.

Zelensky hit back by stating that, if Trump “really wants some changes,” he should “tell Putin, give us two months, 60 days off.”Russia considers the Ukrainian leader illegitimate, as his presidential term expired more than two years ago and he has not called a new election since, citing martial law.

On Monday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov alsosaid that Moscow would not let itself fall into a trap of empty promises.

Kiev’s goal is “very simple: to bargain for time in order to secure a respite,” Lavrov said during a joint press conference with Lebanese Foreign Minister Youssef Rajji in Moscow on Monday. “During that period, Europe would be able to supply him with new weapons to continue the terrorist war against the Russian people.”

According to the Russian minister, Zelensky did not “deserve a respite.” Peskov also stated that Kiev did not bother to let Russia hold its September parliamentary elections in peace and actively sought to disrupt them instead, including through attacks on civilian infrastructure.

Moscow was targeted by more than 1,600 Ukrainian drones in what Mayor Sergey Sobyanin called an “unprecedented” raid during the three-day vote. The attack killed two civilians in the Russian capital’s suburbs and damaged an oil refinery, residential buildings, and civilian infrastructure.

Russia’s frontline areas – including new regions which voted for the first time in the parliamentary elections – also came under Ukrainian strikes. A total of 74 buildings housing election commissions had been damaged or destroyed in ten Russian regions during the vote, according to Rodion Miroshnik, a Russian diplomat heading the mission tasked with documenting alleged Ukrainian war crimes.

Federal Agents Execute Search Warrant of Rep. Ilhan Omar

The political left is going bananas, the socialists are having fits, the Islamists are in a rage and the communists are apoplectic about the news that federal law enforcement has executed a search warrant at the home of Representative Ilhan Omar. However, there are no specific details about the nature of the federal action.

The warrant could be about immigration issues (fraud) related to Ilhan Omar’s rather sketchy background of marrying her brother, or the warrant could be connected to a longer investigation started during the Biden administration about Omar’s finances, fake wine company and campaign funding mechanisms {Go Deep}.

There is a lot of sketchy stuff that swirls around Ilhan Omar, and despite the knee-jerk reaction surrounding immigration fraud, the federal action could be part of any number of issues.

New York Times – Federal agents executed a search warrant at the home of Representative Ilhan Omar of Minnesota on Monday, according to three people briefed on the matter, the kind of investigative step the Justice Department has long shied away from so close to an election.

The court-approved search of her Washington-area home comes after Department of Homeland Security officials said in recent months that they were investigating Ms. Omar, a Democrat, over her family’s immigration paperwork. More recently, some federal investigators have also sought to investigate other issues, such as Ms. Omar’s finances, campaign funds and interactions with a foreign citizen, as The New York Times previously reported.

The three people who described the execution of the search warrant spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss it.

The search warrant, executed 22 days before Election Day, lists a series of potential immigration crimes under investigation, including false statements and fraud in immigration paperwork, as well as a general conspiracy charge, according to a person familiar with the document. (read more)

After the feds raided Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN)’s immigrationdocuments in a reportedly years-long fraud investigation into the Somali Congresswoman’s background, even far-left MS Now is admitting the feds likely have evidence.

The investigation appears to be focusing on whether she and her father lied on immigration papers filled out when she was a teen, as the statute of limitations on her alleged marriage to her brother has already expired.

A former immigration official previously told the New York Postthat if Omar’s father lied on citizenship paperwork and she went along with the lie, it “would wipe her out from naturalization.” A top immigration official also told the Post, “If there’s enough evidence that she or [her father] lied on her immigration application to become a United States citizen, whether it was one time or several times, the Trump administration could initiate a denaturalization process that would strip her of her citizenship.”

DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin previously suggested that her citizenship is illegitimate, saying, “If we can prove that you shouldn’t have been here in the first place, we’ll deport you.” Last month, Border Czar Tom Homan also suggested that Omar “lied or misrepresented” herself when becoming a citizen and that she can “absolutely” be naturalized if that is proven.

The Gateway Pundit reported earlier that the criminal fraud investigation is looking at Omar’s immigration paperwork documents, which were filled out by her late father when she was a child.

A pre-dawn raid of her home began at around 6 am this morning and continued for over four hours as agents were seen carrying boxes of evidence out of her home.

“Today in the Washington, D.C., area, Homeland Security Investigations executed a judicially authorized search warrant secured by the Department of Justice. This enforcement action is part of an ongoing federal investigation,” a Department of Justice spokesperson said.

MS Now’s Ken Dilanian surprisingly admitted that in order to obtain the judicial search warrants, “the Department of Homeland Security, which carried out the search, had to present evidence to a judge, suggesting that there was evidence of a crime at this location at Representative Omar’s home in Washington, D.C. or at least that there was probable cause to believe that there was such evidence.”

Dilanian says the feds are trying to determine whether Omar, who claims she was born October 4, 1982, was 18 when she obtained her citizenship in 2000.

Omar was reportedly 17 when she obtained her citizenship. However, some theories suggest she was over the age of 18, which would have made her too old for naturalization through her parents and could constitute fraud.

Omar has never proven her date of birth with a birth certificate and has claimed that it was lost or destroyed during unrest in Somalia.

The investigation has reportedly been ongoing for years.

Dell computers' billionaire founder has hit out at internet trolls who attacked his wife's looks at a recent White Houseappearance.

Michael Dell, 61, defended his wife Susan, 62, after her appearance in Washington, DC, sparked unkind remarks.

The trolling happened even though the couple were in DC to discuss the couple's $6.25 billion gift that will see all American newborns given a $250 investment account.

'To every child across the country, these accounts are for you. We believe in you,' Susan, talking up 'tax-advantaged investment accounts' for children under 18 who have a Social Security number.

Clips and photos of the couple quickly circulated, as internet users homed in on Susan's appearance.

'The Dell family gave 7 billion dollars directly to American children. And instead of gratitude, there's much discussion of a 62 year old woman's looks,' conservative commentator Mike Cernovich wrote on X.

Other defenses surfaced in the replies, including two shared by Dell himself: One pointed out how they had signed up their own youngsters for the initiative, which was announced by the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation last year.

'Out of the blue $250 showed up from Dell for both of my boys. I will go out of my way to support them now, who else has done what they did? No one…' the poster wrote in a reply to another X account that condemned criticism of Susan's looks.

'It’s truly insane how evil and full of themselves people are.'

Another added: 'My grandson got 250 dollars in his Trump account from Susan Dell. Please leave that woman alone.'

Dell – who founded Dell at 19 with $1,000 in his pocket – reshared both, while also sharing emojis to indicate thanks.

President Trump's son Eric also joined the condemnation of the trolling, writing on X: 'People are awful. Susan and Michael Dell just put $6.25 billion into Trump Accounts for 25 million kids so they’ll have something waiting for them when they grow up—one of, if not the largest private donation in American History.

'The response? Vicious attacks on her.

'I'm grateful for the money you added to my Trump account, Thank you for helping me save for my future,' another penned by an eight-year-old girl in Arizona added.

The couple's $6.25 billion pledge is funding the so-called 'Trump Accounts,' which are also being backed by the American taxpayer.

The Dells met on a blind date back in 1988 during the early days of Dell's company, which is now worth nearly $400 billion.

The two wed the following year and now have four children, daughters Alexa, Kira and Juliette and son Zachary.

Dell's personal net worth now hovers around $300 billion, according to recent estimates from Forbes.

His wife served on President George W Bush's Council for Physical Fitness and Sports, which aimed to promote active, healthy lifestyles for all Americans.

Children who have accounts cannot access the funds until they turn 18.

Once they do, there are strict restrictions on what the money can be used for, like purchasing a home or paying for school.

Report: Federal Investigation into Rep. Ilhan Omar Called ‘World War 11,’ a Reference to Her Viral Gaffe

A federal investigation into Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) is reportedly being called “World War 11,” a reference to the Somali native’s infamous gaffe last year, when she seemingly read “World War II” as “World War Eleven” at a Democrat press conference.

News of the investigation broke on Monday, but details around the probe remain unclear. Omar’s home in Washington, DC, was raided by agents with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), suggesting an immigration-related investigation.

“Today in the Washington, DC, area, Homeland Security Investigations executed a judicially authorized search warrant secured by the Department of Justice,” a Department of Justice (DOJ) official told Fox News Digital. “This enforcement action is part of an ongoing federal investigation.”

The Washington Post reports that federal investigators are calling the investigation into Omar “World War 11” — a reference to her gaffe during a press conference in January 2025 where she compared Trump’s immigration enforcement to the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II.

In July, during the White House Correspondents Association Dinner, President Donald Trump mockedOmar’s gaffe by joking that she calls her brother “husband #1,” a reference to the immigration fraud allegations that have been made against her for years.

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton, for instance, published a piece in Breitbart News in July 2019 where he called on the House Ethics Committee to open an investigation into Omar’s immigration history.

Among the allegations Fitton made in acomplaint to the ethics committee were that Omar committed perjury, immigration fraud, marriage fraud, state and federal tax fraud, and federal student loan fraud.

“Documented-based reporting by Steinberg, et al. has developed the following information: Rep. Ilhan Abdullahi Omar, a citizen of the United States, married her biological brother, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, a citizen of the United Kingdom, in 2009, presumably as part of an immigration fraud scheme,” Fitton wrote.

In response to the investigation and DHS raid on her home, Omar said she was being targeted by the Trump administration for her politics.

“I’m ok. Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement,” Omar said. “For ten years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and smear campaigns. This is just the latest escalation in his campaign of political intimidation. I will not be silenced.”

This is not the first time federal investigators have looked into Omar.

Europe at back of US arms queue – NATO envoy

American arms production will mostly be for replenishing Pentagon inventories, according to Matthew Whitaker

European countries should expand their own arms production because American factories will largely be occupied with supplying the US military, Washington’s envoy to NATO, Matthew Whitaker, has said.

US defense spending could reach $1–1.5 trillion in 2026, leaving limited manufacturing capacity for foreign buyers, Whitaker said at the Warsaw Security Forum on Monday. “The US needs friends with manufacturing capacity,” Whitaker said, urging Europe to increase output to meet its own growing weapons demand.

The warning comes as Washington struggles to replenish missile stocks depleted by its war against Iran. The Center for Strategic and International Studies estimated that US forces had fired over 1,000 Tomahawk cruise missiles by late May, representing nearly a third of its stockpiles. It also used over 1,500 high-end Patriot interceptors, or about 65% of its reserves, as of late July. Reuters also reported in August that the US army had used “virtually all” of its high-precision long-range missiles.

Bloomberg reported last month that NATO members faced delivery delays of up to several years as Washington prioritized rebuilding its own inventories. Germany’s requests for accelerated Tomahawk deliveries were unlikely to be fulfilled within five years, according to the report.

Europe has continued to suffer weapon shortages after donating billions worth of arms to Ukraine. A European Defence Agency assessment presented in September identified significant shortages in air and missile defense, ammunition and other essential capabilities. Efforts to manufacture Patriot interceptors in Germany have also yet to bear fruit.

Whitaker said that Europe ranks fourth among Washington’s security priorities, behind homeland security, the Western Hemisphere and the Pacific. Nevertheless, he reassured European officials that “we still love you,” and that the US “isn’t stepping back” but “just asking you to step forward.”

He also urged NATO to modernize bases, supply chains for fuel, and deployment arrangements to move forces and equipment from Western to Eastern Europe, “where we would expect any future conflict.”He announced no new relocation decisions.

Since returning to office, President Donald Trump has moved to reduce US military commitments in Europe. He has repeatedly criticized NATO members for insufficient spending and demanded that they assume greater responsibility for their own defense.

European governments have meanwhile been ramping up military spending, citing allegations that Russia could attack a NATO country by the end of the decade. Moscow has repeatedly rejected claims that it plans to attack Europe, but has warned that NATO would face a full military response if it attacked Russia first.
