In keeping with the dark and dank ironic theme.
Think by installed deep staters knew his plans and went to remind them of their earlier commitments to him and the tri-families to resolidify those relations and provide reassurances that the President he was attempting to undermine was a temporary phenomenon, while being a glad hander. If it happened at all under Biden probably same reason to reassure them they were still in control and just to ride the big guy going senile out since they both owed their appointments to the same tri-family group as D.S. and neither were with the rebelling home team cult white hats.
