Parties in Europe are "far-right" if they have ANY antecedents in people who in ANY way were supporters of the actually far-right regimes in WW2.
Meanwhile, totally "mainstream left" parties have for decades routinely sought the support of people who overtly and flagrantly support totalitarian communism.
The actual East German communist party is still a parliamentary party in Germany, with a name change.
