https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chaparral_2J
The 2J was the most unusual Chaparral. On the chassis' sides bottom edges were articulated plastic skirts that sealed against the ground (a technology that would later appear in Formula One). Two fans adapted from a military tank engine were housed at the rear, driven by a single two-stroke twin-cylinder engine. The car had a "skirt" made of Lexan extending to the ground on both sides, laterally on the back of the car, and laterally from just aft of the front wheels. It was integrated with the suspension system so the bottom of the skirt would maintain a distance of one inch from the ground regardless of g-forces or anomalies in the road surface. The skirting produced a zone within which the fans could create a vacuum producing downforce on the order of 1.25 to 1.50 g when the car was fully loaded (fuel, oil, coolant). Tremendous gripping power and greater maneuverability at all speeds were produced. Since it created the same levels of low pressure under the car at all speeds, downforce did not decrease at lower speeds.

I think Obama spent about $65,000 of the tax-payers money flying in pizza/dogs from Chicago for a private party at the White House not long ago, assume we are using the same channels?
On his return home from his second tour in 1847, aboard the SS Cambria, he attracted the attention of the explorer John Palliser who "was not a little surprised, on entering the state-cabin, to hear the most unnatural shrill little pipe exclaiming, 'Waiter! bring me a Welsh rabbit'." During the voyage, General Tom Thumb contributed to a collection for the relief of famine victims in Ireland.

New Jersey Deputy Attorney General Arrested in Bucks County on Child Sexual Abuse Material Charges, Accused of Using AI to Generate and Distribute Illicit Material
A Lower Makefield Township man was arrested and arraigned today on felony charges related to AI-generated child sexual abuse material following an investigation by Bucks County Detectives and the Lower Makefield Township Police Department.
Brian Richard Fitzgerald, 51, faces multiple felony counts after investigators uncovered that he utilized artificial intelligence to generate child sexual abuse material and disseminated the illicit content via social media platforms. The investigation also found he acquired child sexual abuse material depicting real children through another social media platform and shared that as well.
Fitzgerald is a Deputy Attorney General for the New Jersey Attorney Generalโs Office.
โNo one is above the law, least of all someone entrusted with upholding it,โ said District Attorney Joe Khan. โOur office will pursue these cases aggressively and hold offenders fully accountable, regardless of their profession or title.โ
According to the affidavit of probable cause, the investigation began after the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) forwarded a CyberTip reporting that a Discord user had shared an illicit image file on July 10, 2026. Digital forensics and subscriber records linked the account and associated internet protocol addresses to Fitzgerald's residence on Edgewood Road in Lower Makefield Township.
During the execution of a search warrant at Fitzgerald's home on October 15, 2026, law enforcement recovered prompts and scripts used to create artificially generated child sexual abuse material using an AI program. Investigators noted that chat logs recovered from Discord revealed Fitzgerald, who used the Discord username thegentlemanpervert_2160_07833, admitted to making multiple illicit images using artificial intelligence and sharing them with other users.
Fitzgerald was arrested at his home this morning and charged with possession of child sexual abuse material, dissemination of photos or film of child sexual abuse materials, and criminal use of a communication facility. All three charges are felonies.

The try-works is located abaft the forehatch. It is constructed of brick and attached to the deck with iron braces. Two cast-iron try-pots are set into the furnace. A reservoir of water under the bricks keeps the furnace from scorching the wood of the deck. The process of removing oil from blubber is known as "trying out". It is similar to the rendering process for producing lard by heating or frying fatty pork.
Try-pots, which are cauldrons or huge pots, vary in size. In the 1840s, at the peak of the whaling industry, five sizes were available ranging from 140-gallon to 220-gallon capacities. They were used to render oil from blubber obtained from cetaceans (whales and dolphins) and pinnipeds (seals), and also to extract oil from penguins. Once a suitable animal such as a whale had been caught and killed, the blubber was stripped from the carcass in a process known as flensing, cut into pieces, and melted in the try-pots to extract the oil. Once the pots were full, any solid residue was removed and the oil was poured into barrels or casks for storage in the ship's cargo hold.
