Another strategy is to give that $5k now before mid-terms, and tell the crowd, if the Democrats cheat, which we know they will, depending on how great the cheating is, it could delay our payments to you and we do not want to take that chance. The stimulus will be fresh on their mind, and you can remind them that more is to come after we win, such as other initiatives like no property taxes, etc… You could remind them also that many Democrat control areas artificially keep prices high on groceries, goods, and services that do not reflect current gas prices, as a means of stifling.
