Two more hours, will close 10PM Mountain Time

An Edmonton polling station will remain open until 10 p.m. because of an earlier delay

By Stephanie Taylor Ottawa Bureau Oct. 19, 2026

While polling stations will close at 8 p.m., Elections Alberta says one in Edmonton will be staying open until 10 p.m.

A spokesperson told the Star that a polling station at Westminster School, located in Edmontonโ€™s Glenora neighbourhood, opened as scheduled at 9 a.m.,but then had to close after workers discovered the need to reconfigure it.

That polling station reopened at 12 p.m. MT. As a result of the delay, it will remain open until 10 p.m.

Elections Alberta has previously said its โ€œresults website cannot be published until all voting locations in the province are confirmed closed.โ€

That means results would not start to be reported until after the closure of that 10 p.m. location.

Elections Alberta has said, however, it would begin counting the massive number of advanced and mail-in ballots it received beginning at 5 p.m.

Job loss in August 2026 approximately 42,000

USA gained 162,000 btw

Job loss in September approx 68,000

China continues to dump steel into Canada below production cost and jobs in that sector will continue be lost, just like the lumber sector already dying (iirc three big mills already closed)

Canada started it years ago with their dairy cartel, they cheered when Doug Ford dumped out Crown Royal. Let them spend their unemployment checks on Canadian alcohol that America has banned and stand around on street corners. Maybe they can recite Brennan's arabic poetry as their economy dies?

I understand it's a weeknight and the good shills have been gone for years but the idea of putting a tranny in charge of Scheduling has me convinced some contractual obligations are being fulfilled as you shills just go through the motions

I wonder if they are getting ready to announce a "counting error" when the vote totals exceed the number of eligible voters in the Province

I'd suggest Premeire Danielle Smith begin practicing for her rendition of "Don't Cry For Me Argentina"

I'd ask for some advance notice if said Premiere is to be tar and feathered for selling out for a pipeline that will never break ground so that I may receive donations from roofers for tar and Tyson plants for feathers to ensure supplies

Now I await to see what punishments Ottawa deals out for Alberta's insolence

I saw the live broadcast from CTV about the "overwhelming" Remain vote and chuckled at the comments going by from a dude whose name looked a lot more Vietnamese than anything else that posted about America failed and "No Kings" when Canada has King Charles III

I'd very much like to see if Portland Andy and others would visit Alberta in a year to see how happy the Remain crowd is when they figure out tonight they chained themselves to a sinking ship
