Ex-Congressional Candidate AJ Kern Claims She Holds DHS “Certificate of Non-Existence of Record” Showing NO Naturalization Records for Ilhan Omar’s Father Ever Becoming a U.S. Citizen

Former Minnesota congressional candidate AJ Kern says she possesses a Certificate of Non-Existence of Record from the Department of Homeland Securityconfirming that federal databases contain no naturalization records for Rep. Ilhan Omar’s late father, Nur Omar Mohamed (also referenced with variants such as Nur Said Elmi Mohamed).

During an explosive interview with Newsmax host Rob Finnerty, Kern said she received a Certificate of Non-Existence of Record from the Department of Homeland Security following her efforts to investigate the immigration history of Omar’s father, Nur Omar Mohamed.

Kern: “I requested his naturalization records, and I did receive a response from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services that they did a thorough search of their records and using all variations of her father’s name, and he’s not in the database.

I’ve been very open about having them and I don’t think that the government just, you know, issues those without having done the thorough search. And they are signed. And given that there’s no naturalization records for him, then it makes her whole issue of her age irrelevant.”

According to the New York Post, Kern, who challenged Omar in the 2022 Democratic primary for Minnesota’s 5th District, requested records on the deceased father (who died in 2020)after determining she could not access Omar’s own living-person immigration files.

She received a USCIS response dated around June 20, 2023, stating that a thorough search of databases using all name variations found no matching index reference.

She then obtained the formal DHS Certificate of Nonexistence of Record, dated September 6, 2023, and signed by Douglas C. Marr of the National Records Center’s Immigration Information Integrity Branch.

The certificate documented a diligent search of systems including the Central Index System and related databases that turned up no record.

According to theofficial Biographical Directory of the United States Congress, Omar was born October 4, 1982, in Mogadishu, Somalia.

She fled the country with her family during the Somali civil war, spent several years in a refugee camp in Kenya, and arrived in the United States in 1995.

The congressional biography states she became a naturalized American citizen in 2000 at age 17.

Kern has questioned both the timing of Omar’s naturalization and her father’s citizenship records.

In herpublished investigation, Kern argues that if Mohamed never naturalized, Omar could not have obtained derivative citizenship through his naturalization.

That is the central question Kern wants federal officials to answer.

On October 12, 2026, Homeland Security Investigations agentsexecuted a judicially authorized search warrantat her Washington, D.C.-area residence as part of a probe focused on documents completed by her late father.

Officials have examined possible false statements, age discrepancies, and other issues that could support denaturalization proceedings if proven.

California Man Who Blamed ICE for Wife’s Disappearance Charged with Her Murder After Her Burned Remains Were Discovered — His Story Collapses as Detectives Uncover Shocking Details

A California man who claimed that federal immigration agents had taken his wife from their home is now facing a murder charge after investigators discovered her burned remains in a neighboring county.

And the agency he pointed the finger at, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), had nothing to do with her disappearance, according to investigators.

Gurinder Singh Gill, 28, was arrested on October 14 in connection with the death of his wife, 30-year-old Jasmine Gill, after Sacramento County Sheriff’s detectives uncovered major inconsistencies in his account, Local 12 reported.

According to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, Gurinder initially told detectives that ICE agents had taken Jasmine into custody while she was checking the mail outside their Sacramento residence.

There was just one major problem with his story.

ICE confirmed that no immigration enforcement activity had taken place at the residence.

The allegation that federal immigration agents were responsible for Jasmine’s disappearance began to unravel as detectives investigated her whereabouts.

And what authorities ultimately uncovered was far more disturbing than the husband’s original claim.

Jasmine Gill was last seen at her Sacramento residence on September 30, 2026.

Four days later, on October 4, her cousin reported her missing to authorities.

As detectives investigated, they questioned Gurinder about his wife’s whereabouts. He maintained that ICE agents had detained her outside their home.

But investigators contacted the federal agency directly, and ICE denied conducting any enforcement operation at the property.

According to the sheriff’s office, detectives subsequently discovered multiple inconsistencies in Gurinder’s statements.

Investigators also learned that the couple was involved in an ongoing divorce and child custody dispute.

Meanwhile, authorities in neighboring El Dorado County had made a horrifying discovery.

On October 1, just one day after Jasmine was last seen alive, burned human remains were discovered in the county.

The remains were subsequently identified as Jasmine Gill.

With the evidence mounting, homicide detectives obtained a warrant for Gurinder’s arrest on suspicion of murder.

On October 14, deputies located and arrested him. Investigators also executed search warrants at two residences associated with the suspect.

The program, which officially launched on July 4, provides a tax-advantaged investment account for children to get a head start on saving for adulthood. Michael Perik, a Jamestown, Rhode Island businessman and the husband of Rhode Island Democratic Party Chair Liz Beretta-Perik,faces a dozen felony charges in a sweeping Ohio indictment accusing him and two others of orchestrating a coordinated scheme that diverted roughly $20 million in federal financial aid, Pell Grants, and state subsidies from Eastern Gateway Community College before the institution collapsed.

Ohio Auditor of State Keith Faber announced the indictments on October 8, 2026, following a multi-year investigation by his Special Investigations Unit.

A Jefferson County grand juryreturned a 24-count indictment charging Perik and co-defendant Nicole Rowe Colclasure with engaging in a pattern of corrupt activities (racketeering), aggravated theft of $1.5 million or more, theft in office, telecommunications fraud, bribery, having an unlawful interest in a public contract, receiving stolen property, and money laundering.

Former Eastern Gateway president and chief financial officer Michael Geoghegan faces nine related felony counts. Court appearances were scheduled for October 19.

According to the Ohio Auditor’s office, Perik allegedly used four for-profit entities he controlled, including the Student Resource Center, to improperly divert funds through fraudulent reimbursements and illegal incentive compensation.

Federal law bars incentive payments tied to enrollment and financial aid activities unless handled by a truly independent third party.

Investigators allege the companies did not operate independently; instead, they exercised significant control over enrollment, attendance verification, financial aid access, and other core functions.

Aid was allegedly disbursed for ineligible students, and proper checks on attendance or withdrawals were ignored. Millions flowed to the Perik-controlled entities.

“The Jefferson County Grand Jury has handed down indictments against three individuals in the alleged theft of about $20 million from the now-defunct Eastern Gateway Community College (EGCC), Auditor of State Keith Faber announced.

The racketeering case against Michael Perik, Nicole Rowe Colclasure and Michael Geoghegan alleges a coordinated criminal scheme that diverted Pell grants and other federal financial aid and state subsidies through fraudulent reimbursements and illegal incentive payments, ultimately contributing to the closure of one of the region’s only higher education options.

Auditor Faber announced the indictments Thursday during a press conference at the Ohio Statehouse alongside U.S. Under Secretary of Education Nicholas Kent.

“Since day one, President Trump and Secretary McMahon have tackled fraud, waste, and abuse, which requires a whole-of-government approach,” Under Secretary Kent said. “It is a disgrace that individuals may have taken advantage of the federal student aid programs that are intended to help students access postsecondary education. We are proud to stand with Ohio Auditor Faber and his team to hold fraudsters accountable and protect the integrity of critical resources that millions of students and families rely on.”

EGCC was founded in 1968 in Steubenville, originally as the Jefferson County Technical Institute.Before closing for good in September 2025, it offered more than 70 associate degrees and majors and numerous certificate programs. Enrollees included families of steelworkers and high school graduates who could not afford to relocate to other campuses and workers who needed retraining as area factories closed.

SIU launched an investigation into EGCC, initially after receiving information about questionable purchasing by college officials. SIU, along with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, the Ohio State High Patrol’s Computer Crimes Unit, the U.S. Secret Service, the Columbus Division of Police’s Digital Forensics Unit, and the Ohio Narcotics Intelligence Center executed a search warrant in January 2024 at EGCC as part of its ongoing investigation.

Meanwhile Finland (bordering Northern Russia) has recently beensupporting 1,000+ drone flightsfrom Ukraine that crossed Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estoniaon the way to strike St Petersburg, Russia.Now, reasonable people will notice that’s a long route for small drones over EU-NATO countries to avoid Russian anti-drone defenses.

Such a reasonably minded person will also note that’s a very long distance for drone propulsion (fuel) to last, andthat reasonable person will likely then realize the 1,000+ drones that targeted St Petersburg didn’t originate in Ukraine at all.

It wouldn’t be the first time this cycle that operatives for a major political party attempted to raise a third-party candidate’s profile to meddle with the outcome. Recent public polling shows a dead heat between Brown and Husted in the race.

The super PAC spent a total of $828,359 on mailers supporting Levy or opposing Brown. Spectrum News, The Washington Post and Axios previously reported Enough Promises Ohio spent $400,000 on such mailers, but the expenditure has since grown.

The group also poured an additional $753,000 into ads supporting Levy and opposing Brown over the weekend, including one video ad on Google that knocks Brown as someone who “sold us out” and boosts “real progressive Greg Levy.”

The campaign finance filings show Enough Promises Ohio used a printing company linked to a Republican political firm, Whistlestop Strategies. Whistlestop has worked with an affiliate of President Donald Trump’s MAGA Inc. super PAC and lists as its “director” Big Dog Strategies, which helped run Republican Sen. Bernie Moreno’s 2024 election campaign and is a consultant for the Ohio GOP.

Enough Promises Ohio did not respond to a request for comment. Neither did Big Dog Strategies.

Amy Natoce, a spokesperson for the Husted campaign, told POLITICO: “Our campaign had no involvement with the group you are referencing. Therefore, we have no comment.”

Levy himself has distanced himself from the PAC, calling its boosting of him an “attempted deception of voters” that’s “a form of digital blackface.” Levy is Black. His spokesperson, Charlie Koenigsmark, also told POLITICO that he and the campaign “completely condemn this attempt to manipulate voters.”

Brown did not respond to a request for comment.
