Ukrainian Drone Strike Sparks Fire at Oil Transit Hub in Tambov Region
October 20, 2026
A Ukrainian drone attack ignited a fire at an oil pipeline hub in central Russia’s Tambov region, authorities said early Tuesday.
Governor Yevgeny Pervyshov confirmed that a blaze had broken out at “one of the enterprises in the Michurinsky district” without identifying the facility. He said no one was hurt in the attack.
The district is home to the state pipeline operator Transneft’s Nikolskoye linear production and dispatch station, a key transit node along the Druzhba oil pipeline, which supplies countries in Eastern and Central Europe.
The exiled news outlet Astra used eyewitness footage of the fire to identify the targeted facility in the Tambov region as the Nikolskoye station.
Nikolskoye receives, stores and transports crude oil and refined products, including diesel, gasoline, jet fuel and fuel oil. Its pumping capacity is estimated at 300,000 metric tons per day.
The attack comes after U.S. President Donald Trump announced an agreement with the Kremlin to increase Russian diesel exports to global markets in order to offset energy prices driven by the U.S.-Israeli war with Iran.
Meanwhile, in Ukraine, three people were killed after a Russian drone struck near a highway that connects Kyiv to the Black Sea port of Odesa in the south, according to the prosecutor’s office.
More than 32,700 families in the Odesa region were left without electricity after an overnight Russian attack on three facilities of Ukraine’s largest private energy company DTEK.
Russia’s Defense Ministry said it struck four commercial cargo vessels, one of them bound for Odesa, alongside logistics hubs in the Volyn and Khmelnytskyi regions.

Abyei drone attack death toll reaches 220
October 20, 2026
The death toll from Monday’s drone attack on Amiet Market in the disputed Abyei Area has reached 220, with 19 people injured, according to local authorities.
South Sudan has summoned Sudanese Ambassador Isam Mohamed Hassan Karar to protest the attack carried out by the Sudanese army, which the Abyei administration attributed to a drone strike.
Agnes Adlino Orifa Oswaha, undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, summoned Karar on Monday to convey the government’s strong protest, the ministry said in a statement.
Yohana Akol Ngor, information minister for the Abyei Administrative Area, said on Tuesday that recovery efforts were continuing, and the death toll could rise as more bodies were recovered.
“Many lives have been lost in Amiet Market and the number of people burned is still increasing because the fire is still burning in the market,” Ngor said.
The Abyei administration called on the governments of Sudan and South Sudan, as well as the international community, to investigate the incident and the civilian deaths.
Authorities have yet to assess the full extent of the damage to shops and other property.
Amiet Market, located in Ameth-Aguok County, is a trading centre serving the Ngok Dinka and Misseriya communities, as well as people displaced by the war in Sudan.
Abyei is disputed between Sudan and South Sudan. Its final status has remained unresolved since South Sudan gained independence in 2011.

Eerie 'UFO cloud' over Washington DC sparks claim of cloaked alien craft hiding in the sky
13:20 EDT, 20 October 2026 | Updated: 13:57 EDT, 20 October 2026
An eerie sighting over Washington DC has sparked wild claims that aliens are hiding in America's skies.
A recent image captured a giant, isolated cloud that looked like a UFO hovering above America's capital.
The cloud appeared to have a smooth, saucer-like shape as it hung motionless in the sky.
One witness shared on X Friday: 'Seen this cloud about an hour back. No movement, no shape change. After being stationary for about 20 mins, it just vanished.'
UFO researcher Scott C Waring claimed that the formations seen throughout the city were 'cloaked alien craft attempting to get closer to the human population by appearing as a simple cloud.'
'Where else would aliens want to listen telepathically to the minds of humans than the area where most US gov intelligence workers live,' added Waring.
'Washington DC is an intelligence playground for them.'
While the formation has sparked claims of otherworldly visitors, it is a natural phenomena known as a lenticular cloud.
Lenticular clouds are smooth, lens-shaped formations that develop in waves of moist air, often near mountains.
These form when moist, stable air flows over hills or mountains, creating waves in the atmosphere.
As air rises toward each wave’s crest, it cools and water vapor condenses into smooth, lens-shaped clouds. These can appear stationary even as air flows through them.
Other images taken on Friday also showed what looked like a massive UFO soaring above the city. While featuring the same shape as the lenticular, those were determined to be pileus clouds.
Pileus clouds form cap-like layers above rapidly growing clouds as rising air pushes moisture upward, causing it to cool and condense. Both can resemble flying saucers.
They develop when a rapidly growing cumulus or thunderstorm cloud pushes a moist layer of air above it upward.
That air cools and condenses into a thin, smooth cap, which the growing cloud beneath may eventually push through
Despite that meteorological explanation, Waring claimed the clouds seen over Washington DC were camouflaged alien craft.
'Such things often go unnoticed by most people, however the public is widely changing its opinion about these disk-shaped objects and leaning further towards the idea that they are cloaked alien craft,' he wrote on UFO Sightings Daily.
He also claimed the supposed ships used artificial intelligence to detect when someone was watching and conceal themselves.
'Have you ever looked up at a cloud and thought, "wow, that's strange," then it suddenly disappears in a few seconds right before your eyes?' he continued.
'It's the standard built-in reaction of the ship's AI, causing it to scan if it's been seen and instantly cloak if it has.
'In this way…you have telepathically controlled the ship itself, forcing it to hide even more. Yes, you heard me right, you have controlled an alien ship!'
Waring has shared images of other clouds he believed were clocked UFOs. In August, he reported on a sighting above a Canadian mountain town.
The image was reportedly captured over Canmore, Alberta on August 2 and shows a glowing, saucer-shaped formation suspended above the landscape.
It was shared on Facebook by Chary Woods, who posted the photo in a group dedicated to clouds.
Many people in the comments were quick to congratulate Woods on capturing an epic cloud hanging in the sky, but some noted that it looked more like a UFO.
At its center is a dark oval that UFO researcher Scott C Waring claims is a classic disk-shaped alien craft concealed within the cloud.
Waring said he increased the contrast on the photograph, allegedly making the object at the center of the formation easier to see.
He claimed the UFO had deliberately created the cloud to hide itself while flying closer to the ground.
The UFO researcher further alleged that alien craft use clouds as cover while secretly scanning the thoughts of people below.
The extraordinary image has divided viewers online, with some declaring it evidence of extraterrestrial visitors while others questioned whether it was created using artificial intelligence.
However, no evidence has emerged proving that the shape is a physical craft or that aliens were involved.
‘This is a UFO cloaked within a cloud that it created,’ Waring wrote on his UFO Sightings Daily website.
‘When you add contrast to the photo, the alien classic disk craft becomes visible at its center.’
Waring claimed extraterrestrials had successfully used the supposed camouflage technique for millions of years.
‘UFOs use clouds to fly closer to the ground in order to scan the thoughts of humans below,’ he added.
‘I think UFO researchers worldwide will agree with me on this.’

He Used a Nuclear Submarine to Lure an Alien Spacecraft—and Found Something That Defied Physics
Oct 20, 2026 8:00 AM EDT
Jay Stratton led the classified operation that tried to trap something that wasn’t from Earth.
Here’s what you’ll learn when you read this story:
Jay Stratton never intended to spend a large part of his career making sense of alien encounters, but that changed when he was asked to investigate suspicious video footage.
For the next sixteen years, Stratton dealt with both his own experiences and others’ accounts of phenomena that seemed not of this planet, including aircraft that defied the laws of physics.
While he still faces backlash from critics, Stratton insists that he was not an alien fanatic, just a military official tasked with finding out what was behind bizarre and unexplained events.
When Jay Stratton joined the military barely out of high school, he saw himself as an infantryman. Nothing in those early days pointed anywhere but toward a rifle and a rucksack.
Stratton could never have predicted that someday, beyond camo and combat boots, he would end up on the front lines of something far more bizarre and unearthly than any battlefield.
It began with a video. After he had risen in the ranks of the Defense Intelligence Agency to become chief of air and space warfare, Stratton found himself in his office in Washington, D.C., when a colleague appeared at his door and asked him to make sense of classified footage.
He was suddenly watching what could have easily been a scene from a science fiction movie. Hovering near a nuclear missile silo was an unidentified flying object that appeared vaguely menacing.
How it had managed to enter one of the most restricted regions of U.S. airspace is still unknown. Its eerie yellowish glow left a visible trail, carving turns through the air that no engine or airframe should allow.
The craft traversed the skies in complete silence, then accelerated faster than Han Solo could ever dream of pushing the Millennium Falcon in Star Wars—and vanished.
This would be the start of a UAP (unidentified anomalous phenomena) hunting mission that spanned nearly two decades.
Stratton went on to co-found the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Advanced Aerospace Weapons Application Program (AAWSAP) and the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program (AATIP), then rose to director of the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force (UAPTF), where he led the first UAP investigation to reach across the entire federal government. For the final sixteen years of his military career, he chased occurrences that no earthly explanation could cover: silent craft, impossible accelerations, objects that moved through air and water with equal ease.
The infamous undersea “tic tac” craft was only the most famous. Nothing in the human catalog of engineering, Stratton concluded, could account for what he was seeing.
1/2
“The plan was bold as it was straightforward,” Stratton says of luring UAPs in his new memoir, Out of the Shadows.
“It was an efficient expedition and our strategy was built on our educated opinion that UAP were drawn to nuclear energy. Our bait could be a nuclear submarine.
Its reactor running hot would create a huge nuclear signature, and it would suffice as a pre-selected area within US waters known for past UAP activity. The goal, exploit a decades-old pattern. Draw a UAP close enough to monitor, track, or if possible, capture or recover.”
The encounters themselves baffle even skeptics. One pilot was on patrol when he caught sight of a floating sphere, roughly six feet in diameter, drifting through the darkness at 20,000 feet as if the violent winds hitting it simply weren’t there.
The crew turned their radar on the object, and it fled so abruptly it might as well have been a hallucination. Roswell raises the same questions on a far larger scale.
The city that inspired a paranormal TV series in the late ‘90s and still trades on aliens and flying saucers as unofficial mascots was the site of a 1947 crash that many dismiss as a failed military experiment.
The debris made sensational headlines before officials wrote it off as a fallen weather balloon. Stratton says the balloon was just a cover story.
What the recovery team hauled out of the desert, Stratton writes, went well beyond crumpled metal. It included bodies that were not human.
An unidentified source told him that some of these beings died on impact while others survived the crash but not much longer, refusing food and refusing to communicate. The aftermath never reached the public.
Witnesses inside the intelligence services were traumatized enough that many resigned, several suffered breakdowns, and a few, haunted by what they had seen, took their own lives.
The wreckage itself is long gone, beyond the reach of any modern analysis—but Stratton points to more recent events that unsettle him just as much.
In one case, top gun instructors—pilots selected for their composure under pressure—recorded four encounters in a single week. They came away shaken.
The incidents recounted in Out of the Shadows drew backlash from several directions. Stratton had just returned from an investigation in Nevada when a colleague pulled him aside and warned him that entangling himself in such things carried dire consequences.
Then came the hard questions. If aliens had really touched down on Earth, where are the images to corroborate the alleged video evidence? Why did no one run lab tests on the bodies recovered at Roswell? Why does every account offer everything but a scientific explanation?
The pressure was not all professional. Glowing balls of light hovered outside the family’s windows after dark, and Stratton lived with the sense that someone was always a step behind him. Only retirement brought any relief.
“Anytime I’ve ever done anything related to UAP or UFO, that’s been my job,” Stratton told 8 News Now Las Vegas in an interview. “And what I mean by that [is] I didn’t really have a passion growing up, I didn’t have all the books, I didn’t watch all the TV shows.
I stepped into a job for the Defense Intelligence Agency where some things came across the desk…[for] all the stories you hear, there’s probably an office that deals with this.”

Professor Brian Cox explains why he ‘doesn’t think there’s anything there’ at Area 51
10:51 20 Oct 2026 GMT+1
Is there life outside of Earth? It’s a question scientists have been asking for decades but one that still remains a mystery.
Some believe that the government is keeping information from us and top-secret facilities such as Area 51 are notorious for being suspected alien investigation units. But, is there any truth to the conspiracy theories?
Physicist Professor Brian Cox doesn’t seem to think so as he explained in an exclusive chat with LADbible why he believes there is nothing extraterrestrial at the highly classified United States Air Force facility in Nevada.
Talking about the search for life outside of Earth, Cox said: “We’ve detected over 6,000 planets directly around stars beyond our solar system.
So that means there were trillions of planets in the Milky Way Galaxy, and the Milky Way Galaxy has been around for pretty much the age of the universe, 10 billion years plus.
“And so it is a tremendous mystery, I would say, why we haven't detected with the telescopes and the searches, we haven't detected any signal or any evidence of any civilization out there.
So that would be the astronomical answer to, and we can talk about that a lot because I do genuinely think it's one of the great mysteries because there's been plenty of time and so many worlds and it seems inconceivable that there wouldn't be other civilizations far ahead of us.”
Are there aliens at Area 51?
However, in terms of there being aliens already on Earth and living at Area 51 in particular, Cox is not as convinced.
He continued: “I would find it astonishing, given my experience of governments and the competence of them, that they’re managing to keep these very big things secret.
I mean, they’re obviously secrets like the technology to build nuclear weapons, for example, and things like that. So there are obviously secrets there.
“But what we’re talking about here is, if it’s Area 51, for example, is an enormous base with flying saucers in it. That’s a big secret, right? So that would be my view. I don’t think there’s anything there at all.”
If we really are alone in the universe then Cox believes this could be a huge burden for humanity to carry.
He added: “If it is true that intelligence is extremely rare, then it seems to me that there's a responsibility that falls on us to ensure that meaning exists in our little corner of space, which might be the Milky Way galaxy, that little corner of space.
And that sort of worries me. That is terrifying to me.”

🇺🇸🤫 Congress Quietly Hands UAP Spotlight to Book Selling Insiders
After years of loud congressional hearings and whistleblower podcast tours pushing the UFO/UAP/NHI topic into the mainstream, the same players have largely gone quiet.
The stage is clearing just as former officials drop detailed books on alleged non-human technology and retrieval programs.
The timing looks deliberate.
High profile government attention first normalized the idea that something non-human is real and hidden.
With public resistance lowered, the heavier claims can now arrive through commercial channels…selective, deniable, and profitable, rather than under oath in open hearings that risk forcing real answers.
