WHOA: Ousted Secret Service Spokesman Anthony Guglielmi May Have Leaked Story on Trump’s Secret Plane Switch in Turkey Amid Iranian Threat

by Cristina Laila Oct. 21, 2026 4:40 pm

In August, three Secret Service officials were reportedly escorted out of their offices and designated “do not admits” as part of a criminal investigationinto the leaking of classified information to the media.

CBS News identified one of the employees as Secret Service Chief of Communications Anthony Guglielmi. The other two individuals also reportedly worked in the agency’s communications office.

All three had their security clearances suspended and lost access to their government-issued devices.

According to Real Clear Politics,Anthony Guglielmiis out at the agency because he may have been involved in the leaks to the media.

Sensitive information about President Trump’s secret plane swap in Turkey over the summer were leaked to The Washington Post and CBS News.

“Multiple Secret Service sources tell @RCPolitics Guglielmi is not coming back to work at the agency, although the Secret Service and FBI leaders have not disclosed the allegations against him and are keeping the matter under tight control. Several agents believe it has something to do with the press reports on the Secret Service’s use of a decoy plan to ferry President Trump out of Turkey,” RCP reporter Susan Crabtree said.

As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, President Trump was secretly transferred from Air Force One to a smaller C-32A military aircraft before departing Ankara, Turkey, on July 8.

Trump was reportedly movedbetween the aircraft inside an airport catering truck while the original Air Force One departed as a decoy carrying administration officials, Secret Service personnel, White House staff and members of the traveling press.

The highly sensitive maneuver was reportedly ordered after U.S. officials received intelligence concerning a possible Iranian plot to target Air Force One with a surface-to-air missile.

President Trump later confirmed that the Secret Service and military instructed him to use another aircraft.

“It’s only up to the Secret Service. I just follow what they’d like to do,” Trump told reporters. “They wanted me to go on a different flight, a different plane.”

ILHAN OMAR: HOW PASSPORT FRAUD MAY BE ANOTHER AVENUE FOR PROSECUTION

Seasoned federal investigators know passport fraud may be another path to criminal charges.

18 U.S.C. § 1542 (False Statement in Application)

  • Prohibits making any false statement in a passport application, using a passport obtained via false statements, or using a passport with an assumed/false name to hide criminal behavior

The 10-year statute of limitations on passport fraud is reset every time the individual renews their passport if the underlying application records, such as a Social Security Number, were obtained through fraud.

For example, the suspect lied about the true date and place of their birth to obtain a social security number.

HERE'S HOW IT WORKS: AMERICAN TERRORIST

This legal strategy was used to obtain a holding charge for the American terrorist Anwar al-Awlaki after 9/11.

Anwar al-Awlaki was a dual U.S.-Yemeni citizen.

The radical cleric, who became a top al Qaeda leader, was born in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where his parents lived at the time.

He later grew up in Yemen.

When it was time for college, Awlaki gamed the system.

He applied for tuition assistance through the State Department and USAID to finance his studies at Colorado State University.

Awlaki was not eligible for financial support as a U.S. citizen, so he used his Yemeni passport (and false claims about his birthplace) to secure roughly $20,000 in scholarship money.

It was the beginning of the big grift.

When the Joint Terrorism Task Force investigated Awlaki after 9/11 for his relationship and material support of hijackers in San Diego and Virginia, a seasoned federal investigator ran down the scholarship scam.

Unfortunately, the statute of limitations had run out on the USAID tuition fraud.

A State Department Diplomatic Security Agent then discovered Awlaki made false statements to secure a J-1 visa (a non-immigrant visa for educational purposes.)

Once in the U.S., Awlaki applied for a Social Security Number, falsely claiming he was born in Yemen.

Awlaki used the fraudulently obtained Social Security Number to fraudulently obtain a U.S. passport.

The 10-year statute of limitations reset every time the American terrorist renewed his passport.

Costa Rica opens a Bukele-style mega-prison. Here's how it got here

Javier Córdoba And María Verza Wed, October 14, 2026 at 8:44 p.m. EDT

SAN JOSÉ, Costa Rica (AP) — Costa Rica, considered for decades a peaceful enclave in turbulent Central America, has now made fighting drug trafficking one of its main goals. And it is turning to one of its Central American neighbors for inspiration in its hardline crackdown.

On Wednesday, President Laura Fernández inaugurated a mega-prison that emulates the Terrorism Confinement Center (CECOT) that has become a symbol of Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele's security strategy.

Bukele has managed to reduce murders to a historic low in El Salvador but faces accusations of abuses during the state of emergency that began in 2022 and has imprisoned more than 91,000 people.

Costa Rica is not the first to turn its attention to the man who has proclaimed himself the "coolest dictator in the world." Ecuador has done it. So have the new presidents of Peru and Colombia. From Honduras to the Southern Cone, these countries are joining the hardline security strategy also endorsed by U.S. President Donald Trump.

Now, Costa Rica says it will incarcerate its most dangerous criminals in the High-Containment Center against Organized Crime, with a capacity for 5,100 inmates and a cost of $35 million. Here's how the country that was once the region's most stable got here.

The cocaine route to Europe

For decades, Costa Rica was a "passive" transit zone for drugs from South America, according to the organization Insight Crime. But without an army, and with extensive jungle and ports on both coasts, it began to attract Mexican and Colombian cartels.

At the end of the last decade, a new cargo terminal transformed the Caribbean port of Limón into a storage and transshipment point for cocaine destined for Europe, according to the U.S. State Department, which, in a 2025 report, also detected fentanyl distribution in the Central American country.

Now, the two major Mexican cartels, Sinaloa and Jalisco, are present in the country, as are the Colombian Clan del Golfo, the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua — all considered terrorist organizations by the United States — and Italian mafias, while local cartels proliferate, explained Vanda Felbab-Brown, an organized crime researcher at the Brookings Institution.

Homicides raise alarms

The cartels' interest in new routes and the rivalry between the two major Mexican cartels "pushed local proxies to fight with each other and then drove homicides up" in Costa Rica, Felbab-Brown noted. Payments to these gangs in drugs developed local markets that further increased the violence, and the authorities felt overwhelmed.

The alarm was raised in 2023 when the country registered a record 907 homicides — a figure that has decreased, but only slightly — and the government acknowledged that they were mostly due to organized crime.

WATCH: Stephen Miller Goes Off on Foreign Scammers During White House Roundtable on Cybercrime

by Jordan Conradson Oct. 21, 2026 5:00 pm

White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller tore into foreign fraudsters and scammers ripping off Americans during a White House roundtable on cybercrime.

Miller said that the Trump Administration has “declared cyber warfare against the cyber criminals” under the President’s March executive order, titled “Combating Cybercrime, Fraud, and Predatory Schemes Against Americans.”

“With the executive order that you signed, for the first time ever, we are using offensive cyber capabilities to dismantle, disrupt, and disable these foreign scam centers,” Miller said.

Miller went on to highlight the “common theme” with Trump’s handling of various issues, including “welfare fraud where we’re getting ripped off by these refugees and foreign scammers” and “cybercrime where you have entire foreign economies that are propped up on stealing from American seniors.”

“What you’re saying is America is not a pile of treasure for other countries and other people and other scammers all around the world to loot for themselves. You’re protecting American wealth for American people and American families in a way no leader has ever done before. Thank you, sir,” Miller said to President Trump.

Transcript:

Everybody knows the stories. It’s affected almost every family in America. Your grandmother, your grandfather, your parents, they get a phone call saying a loved one has been arrested. Wire $10,000 right away to get them out of jail.

Except nobody was arrested, nobody’s in jail, and the money goes to a foreign scam center. And then that pension, that retirement account that senior citizen has saved for their entire lives is gone, and then you have senior citizens who were going to be living their golden years are now living in poverty. And for years and years and years, this went unmet and unanswered.

With the executive order that you signed, for the first time ever, we are using offensive cyber capabilities to dismantle, disrupt, and disable these foreign scam centers. That has never been done before, and then we’re working with foreign governments and the Department of Justice to bring these individuals into our prison system to face real jail time here in the United States for their crimes against the American people.

So, you have effectively declared cyber warfare against the cyber criminals, and that is saving the pensions, the life savings, the retirement accounts, the earnings of countless American citizens. Not to mention protecting people from sextortion, from child trafficking, from human trafficking. So, we’ve talked so much, Mr. President, about how you’ve brought crime to record lows, violent crime to record lows, the murder rate to the lowest in 125 years, but now you’re bringing cybercrime to the lowest level since this has existed as an industry.

It’s just one more example of how you have put the American people first. You’ve put the American people’s safety first. I’ll make one more point on this. There’s a common theme in all of the challenges that you have systemically tackled and solved, whether it’s the trade deficit where we’re getting ripped off by foreign countries, whether it’s welfare fraud where we’re getting ripped off by these refugees and foreign scammers, or it’s cybercrime where you have entire foreign economies that are propped up on stealing from American seniors.

What you’re saying is America is not a pile of treasure for other countries and other people and other scammers all around the world to loot for themselves. You’re protecting American wealth for American people and American families in a way no leader has ever done before. Thank you, sir.
